Ep 9 Khajuraho Western Group of Temples, Guided Tour | Madhya Pradesh Tourism

You will see history of Khajuraho temple in detail. Khajuraho temple is a Unesco world heritage site located at a distance of 275 km from Gwalior.
After watching this video you will know why Khajuraho temples were created, who built these temples, what was the purpose.
What are the various temples in the western Group of Khajuraho and so much more you will come to know about these 1000 year old temples.
Just in case if you missed watching the previous episodes of this tour, you can check out our EP1 which was about Gwalior fort visit and other sightseeing then we proceeded towards Orchha there after Panna and now Khajuraho.
This Video was shot on 3rd Nov 2022, Below are the activities we did on this day.
We started our day from MPT Kutni Island Resort which is about 15 km away from Khajuraho. This is the Madhya pradesh tourism property.
Khajuraho Western Group of Temples: It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India and is famous for their erotic sculptures.
There are many temples in this vicinity but the main and famous one is Kandariya Mahadeva Temple which is the largest of all the temples in Khajuraho.
Kandariya Mahadeva Temple means "the Great God of the Cave". Plus the elegant proportions of this building and its sculptural detailing are the most refined examples of this artistice heritage of central India.
The Khajuraho temples are made of sandstone, with a granite foundation. It is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

I really enjoyed the whole series. I went to Khajuraho with my friends couple of years back. That is one of the best architecture I have seen in India. Just wanted to say that you missed the eastern group of temples which are a bit scattered compared to western group of temples. You would have really enjoyed that too as there are a lot of Jain temples in the eastern group. There is one more temple called Chaturbhuj temple which is bit away from the town. Even though the idol of lord Vishnu is broken, I felt such a calmness by just looking at the face of the idol.
Keep doing the amazing work you are doing of showcasing different parts of India.
