Usually, necromancers do not have a patron and just communicate with wandering undead spirits to do their bidding. It would be more accurate to call a necromancer a type of sorcerer or a shaman rather than a warlock. Sorry if im giving "aKshUaLlY" vibes im just kinda a nerd for this stuff lol
The spirit summon debuff is a thing they added. from the alpha release patch notes: "Summoning spirit ashes now gives the player a debuff that reduces the player’s total HP, FP and SP by a percentage. The percentage reduction is greater depending on the power level of the summon. A spirit ash’s reinforcement level does not affect the strength of the debuff."

Even if its not in the description, all of the ghostflame spells should apply frostbite. Not just the Rancor Bolt. Also, you can take the erdtree teleporters to Siofra River, and you come out right beside the Nokron, Eternal City grace.
As soon as I learned that I could actually summon with no problems I went straight to mimic tear when I could but he was not there, so I went and got black knife tiche after astel. Rest of my run was simple.

It's super good, you can tell this team's put their all into giving you a fresh and fun experience. If you ever decide to really get into mods, I'd recommend Clever's Moveset Modpack too. It has a lot of really cool weapons to play around with, though it doesn't overhaul the whole game like Convergence does.
I know it seems cheap, but honestly having a necromancer that can go "Nah you didn't win. Kill me? I can cheat death, now give me my run back." is great.

Soul Steal's a fun idea but it seems kinda... powerful? With the other op spells you could tweak the numbers and get something reasonable but I don't know how you can make getting a free riposte + tears of denial balanced. It would make more sense as a spell you cast on enemies that were stance broken rather than a spell that breaks their stances for you.

1.3 is bringing the ability to re-summon, if your summon dies. Also the ability to summon in more areas.
Also an overall buff to the necromancer, and mystic. The early game spells for both aren't that great.

For anyone playing convergence go to sellen. She sells a memory stone, golden seed and sacred tear. Really handy for new games.

I know you're playing Convergence but honestly, the Rosus' Axe AOW hits like a truck even in the Base Game. It's great.
It hits hard but it requires a stationary target. It's fussy to use.
