Neopets: The Darkest Faerie - Ancient Castle Spires

- I play through the Ancient Castle Spires, which is a removed map in the game.
This map was originally supposed to go in between the Knight's Crypts. You can actually even physically go to the Knight's Crypts in the beginning of the Spires. The ending of it, however, the transition between the Spires and the Vault doesn't exist - There's just emptyness between the hallway that's supposed to lead to the Vault, and the Vault itself.
The area can be entered through one of the 3 loading triggers that exist on the Vault's map. One of them spawns you at the beginning, another in the middle, and another at the very end, with the cutscene where you fall down a giant elevator shaft.
That giant elevator shaft is the reason speedrunners have to navigate the exit to the Vault in complete darkness.
I've been wanting a remastered version of this game for years. Imagine if we get one with the promise of having never-before-seen maps and hidden aspects like this one (or the unused Air Faerie character model) that could be included for longer gameplay. I don't care how much it would be or how long it would take to play it, I will pre-order.
Deck Nine is now working on the life is strange series so I don’t know if they will make a remaster of this but if they did that would be cool
The exit of the section at 9:05 does exist, I just found it!
After pushing the buttons around a few times in certain orders (I didn’t keep track, sorry :’}) you’ll find some chests and eventually behind one of the blocks will be a white button, once you press that one, all the blocks lift up into the ceiling, a bunch of restless spirits come out (they lose aggro quick though at least they did for me) and you make your way out an exit to the bottom floor wall!
Also for the end of the Ancient Castle Spires where you fell into the water, I somehow managed to jump right into the cutscene instead that introduces the undead draik boss! This area is so cool thanks again for finding it!
You're telling me, that after I played this game 12 times over a period of 16 years, feeling pretty good about my knowledge of the game and all its side quests.... I have never played this area?!????! WHAT!?!?!

Woah this map looks really cool. I can’t believe I’ve never encountered this despite playing The Darkest Faerie tons of times as a kid. And the fact that this map is pretty much complete barring a few missing things means that the developers likely took this out last minute. It’s unfortunate because this map would’ve been fun to play.
This is so surreal!! Just when I thought I knew everything about this game..
I would take this over the Oubliette any day

Such a shame they cut this. When I was a kid, the book that described the previous Castles of Merridel and the lost Treasure Vault really captivated me, and the fact we had to physically descend through both layers of rock and also time, it called to me! If this map hadn't been cut it would have been my favorite by FAR.
I wish this had been kept in the game, this is a cool looking area

This might be kind of old but the Neopets company said no because it doesn't match with the lore
KibaTheBarbarian how does it not match with the lore?? There’s many other sections in this game that have nothing to do with the website’s story....
@@InkfinityOkamix3 exactly heck didnt this game kinda expand on the lore period that the website even decided to base around stuff that happend in the game?
The DemiFiend as far as I can remember, they made Roberta a shopkeeper in Brightvale. then there was the Darkest Faerie event plot but it really didn’t have anything to do with the game. Still, kinda silly they scrapped this section due to lore

Woahhh, That map looks really cool, I dont know why the creators removed from the game 😠, whatever, could you upload a video, showing to us, how to enter into that map. PLEASE
+Pichongo Gorongo You have to ledge fly at the place where Fyora's wand is in the treasure vault, and go out of bounds. Then, you have to switch to roberta. This will reset the camera, allowing you to see again. Then, there's 3 loading triggers that you can enter that will take you to the map. However, be careful not to fall into the map, because there is a giant thing of water.

Omigosh i played this game like 600 times and i haven't seen any of this.
I forgot how pretty this game looked. I don't think modern games use color to their advantage the way these old games used to.
I think it would have been really cool to travel through this. Like, you could see the structure of the ancient castles. And personally, I think the structure of this place is a lot more appealing...if only they replaced the Oubliette (or however you spelled it) with this...I hated the Oubliette so much.
Those SPIKES starting at 6:55 would have given me absolute hell though...
I audibly groan every time i reach the Oubliette. It's SUCH a pain in the ass and it always gives me the creeps.
It was just SO TEDIOUS! I do remember at times getting jumpscared by sudden enemies.

does annyone know where the fuck to get neopets the darkest farie in 2021 i would litterally do annything to get it its apart of my child hood that gave me hope in the dark times n cant live without it i litterally think of that game every day n as i sleep and if annyone knows where i can get the mark of kri game on ps or doesnt matter i dont even have a ps no more i just miss the game so much but it got stolen on me and that shit broke my heart those games kept me from going crazy like in canada????? it saved me from child hood trauma ....2021

Did anyone ever finish this game 100%? I got to this part with all the chests... But there was always ONE missing in this one area!! I wonder if it's the chests that are in this unacessible area? :((
