how to POWER LOOP BLIND GAPS

  • At our 4th Kwad Camp I did a quick overview of one my favorite maneuvers, power looping so that you fly backwards through a gap. Essentially I work my way up to being comfortable with the obstacle and practicing timing going through the gap different ways so that when I go to loop back through it I know what to expect from the gap and how to time it.
After doing this with lots of gaps and obstacles, you'll begin to be able to do it without so much warm up and practice maneuvers by having more of a feeling of how to do it for an obstacle of a given size.
Thanks to everyone who came out to our Kwad Camp hosted by GetFPV!

    These tutorials are great.
Dying for spring here, 4am and thinking I should get up and put some batteries on - the swamp frogs (known as peepers around here) are singing here tonight (4am 3/29/18) in CNY - that usually means flyable weather tomorrow....
    Irrelevent fun fact -
A peeper is a little frog about an inch long, and they have a collective mating song that is surprisingly loud (there are millions of them out in the swamp) - the peepers get frozen back into the mud 3 times and that's the last frost, this is the 1st peep cycle, after 2 more, winter is reeally over. I've lived by the swamp for 30yrs and they've never been wrong.
I've been using 1st peep as a signal to get my planes dusted off and ready for years now. For the last few yrs the quads "Break the Ice" literally sometimes.
That's my "Using frogs to improve your quad flying" tip of the day....
Anyway, watching some LeDrib is good for the mental state, gets me psyched to fly and I accidentally learn something now and again...
    Thanks!

I often watch your videos because I really like your style of driving fluid and spectacular. I love trick tutorials. As a beginner they always give me a new aim, something to achieve, something to work on. BUT, please start showing these through the DVR as well. I consider it much easier to follow if I see what I am supposed to see in my goggles, not what the GoPro with its HD footage and wide angled Superview is seeing.
I know it also depends on the camera and lens you are using for your FPV feed, but the DVR will in any case come closer to what I am supposed to see in my goggles than this beautiful GoPro footage.
It makes it so much harder in real live once you see the world through your FPV gear instead the wide angle of the GoPro...but maybe that is just me :)
