2 Heritage Units In 1 Hour On The Pittsburgh Line At Horseshoe Cuve & The Gallitzin Tunnel. Enjoy some action from Norfolk Southern as a couple of heritage units made their way through the area. I was fortunate to catch the Interstate, NS 8105, at Horseshoe Curve and at the Gallitzin Tunnel. Shortly after, the original Norfolk Southern, NS 8114, would come through. I was joined with my friend, Bob of The Tunnel Inn, to catch 8114.
If you have never been to the Tunnel Inn but have been curious to stay, check out my video I did in 2023. Bob Elder runs a great place and is very welcoming. You'll feel at home at The Tunnel Inn. I highly recommend!

I have a couple of friends who stayed at the Tunnel Inn on their way back from Maryland last week, during that snowstorm that hit central and eastern Pennsylvania. They said it was a nice place but the all the trains kept them awake that night.

I actually spotted the 8114 when I was railfanning the NS Cleveland-Alliance line at Kent, Ohio. (my first time seeing a heritage unit in person)
I still have yet to spot the Erie and Southern Heritage units, as two high schools in Akron have those colors.
