    Ibanez guitars for P&W:
    Pros:
    - Incredibly versatile
    - Light weight
    - Super comfortable neck
    - Accessibility and consistency in quality (A guitar for all budgets)
    Cons:
    - Looks and overall appearance (Eye-catching, show-stealing guitar; may be too distracting or even disturbing for conservative contexts)
    - Tremolo may be too cumbersome
    Pro and con: Hot pick ups
    - May be too hot for some usages
    - Easier to dial the gain down
    *It's not about what you own or how much you own, it's about what you do with what you own.*
    Great content as always, Justin and Jemmuel!

    I just got an Ibanez for the first time... (Kinda) I traded a Chinese modern player stratocaster which was not doing it for me... They gave me an Ibanez electric acoustic and a Bass... I was selling the bass and a guy offered me an Ibanez RG350 MZ in yellow... My dream guitar when I was a metalhead! It has an EVH humbucker in the bridge and I am really liking it!! It is great for worship surprisingly

      That sounds hot (in a tone way)! I feel that way about my JS too, it being a dream guitar since I saw Satriani play “Flying In A Blue Dream” for the first time. Glad you found yours!

  • @trebleboost7
    @trebleboost7 Год назад +3

    OK - all I have to say is WOW, what a terrific wife! That is amazing. And a JS model to boot. My first 'good' guitar that I spent a long time vetting when I started to get called on to play guitar on the worship team at church is a Fender Showmaster with two SD humbuckers, 24 frets, etc. It was the best playing and sounding guitar that I could find for my budget. I still have it and probably should move it as I never play it any more but it has such a beautiful bubinga top! The thing about these types of guitars is their playability, and they are versatile as pointed out.

    • @AllAboutWorshipGuitar

      She is my rock! We walked past a guitar store in Hong Kong and saw this JS through the window. "Hey isn't that the guitar the bald man with sunglasses plays?" LOL
      Oh don't let that Showmaster go! It's discontinued and such a rarity.

    3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.

      Psalm 150! Actually, when I read the Hebrew text, the word translated "harp" (נֶבֶל) has a closer relationship to lute (and hence the guitar) than the word translated "stringed instruments" (מֵן). Interestingly, both instruments appear to be loan words from Egyptian and Aramaic respectively, which tells us the broader insight: ALL instruments, from far and wide, will be used to praise the Lord!

  • @jash500
    @jash500 Год назад +3

    As long as a guitar player commits to “creating beauty” and/or a joyful noise on Sunday, (and I do believe beauty is objective) that honors and glorifies the Lord, I say go for it. Ibanez isn’t my personal style but they are fabulous instruments. I really think it’ll be gen z’s guitar of choice in the next 5 years. Fender should be sweating.

    • @AllAboutWorshipGuitar
      @AllAboutWorshipGuitar  Год назад +1

      Amen about the honour and glory to God!
      And I think Gibson should be sweating more. There’s a clear age gap between the Fender and Gibson artist line ups (Gibson being much more “boomer” and Fender having a lot more even representation of younger and middle-aged players). Seems like even less Gen Z’s are likely to pick a Gibson up (and who can blame them, since the price barrier is so high!)

    • @jash500
      @jash500 Год назад +2

      @@AllAboutWorshipGuitar wow didn’t even think of Gibson! 100% agree they need a re-brand before it’s to late lol

    I love, I mean love Floyd guitars for PW. Unfortunately my best one is an ML, a little loud for church. I play my Kramer from time to time but it only has a bridge HB so good clean tones are tough.

    • @AllAboutWorshipGuitar
      @AllAboutWorshipGuitar  Год назад

      Cool! I wish Floyd's were easier to restring and maintain. Somebody on FB just told me, "Please dive bomb responsibly" haha. I've played the Yamaha equivalent of a melody maker before, and lowering the volume and the tone (sometimes to zero) helped achieve a pseudo-neck pickup sound for clean.

    Is clifton luna v2 a good guitar,which one should i buy?the luna v2 or the lp-01 symfomia les paul?i will use it for praise and worship and also for gigging

    • @AllAboutWorshipGuitar
      @AllAboutWorshipGuitar  7 месяцев назад

      I haven’t had the chance to play those guitars before, as they seem like Philippines-exclusive. But based on specs, both are decent. The question is whether they meet your needs as a player. Do you need coil split? Does the neck feel good under your hand? Are the pickups too harsh/too gentle? Try it out in person with your rig, that’s the best way to determine if it’s good for you.

  • @jasonverheye2839
    @jasonverheye2839 Год назад +3

    If someone is more concerned that your guitar's looks are "too much" for church, they're the ones that need to adjust their focus. You can't change your guitar for a few people who don't like it; ESPECIALLY if that's the only guitar you own or can even afford

    • @AllAboutWorshipGuitar
      @AllAboutWorshipGuitar  Год назад

      Indeed! I know of a student who could only afford an LTD F Metal at the time. When someone made a comment, I was SO tempted to reply, “Well…sounds like he needs an upgrade. How about you bless him with a Fender American Standard Strat?”

    • @jasonverheye2839
