I really enjoyed this video! While I enjoy growing to food, I enjoy the harvest and saving of seeds even more! It is so satisfying sharing the fruit of our labor with others.
@ I started with an heirloom tomato that an older friend of mine gave me. Unfortunately, he just passed away this past September. He had gotten this tomato at a farmers market many years ago, and he had been growing it ever since. I took that tomato and put the seeds on a paper towel and started those seeds the following spring. I was drawn to the story of him having this tomato that just kept giving to him year after a year. Since this time we have started saving bell pepper seeds, and jalapeños. My kids and I enjoy saving Marigold seeds because there are so many on a given Marigold plant. It is amazing.
Great video, I don’t know much about grounding ether. But, I do find it strangely relaxing to get my hands dirty pulling weeds or planting. Sometimes on nice days I’ll walk around the yard barefoot.
When I was a teenager, we went to a farm and the farmer was barefooted. And she told us to take off our shoes and feel the ground beneath us. She said that was the way we should always be in the garden. For years I did that but I can’t now but I’m always sticking my hands in the dirt. I’m digging with my hands even with gloves right next to me I still end up using my hands. And I have a meat allergy and I eat a lot of vegetables but I absolutely love eating from my garden. I went to my doctor because they make you and the doctor noticed I had been there only once last year and the look she gave me was shocking because she expected me to be there more but I had no reason to be.
Yea the health benefits of this lifestyle are WAYYYYY too underrated. I don't have a good way to articulate it because I am not a scientist at all but I know this whole lifestyle dramatically improves your health. You're living proof!
Fairly new to your channel and really been connecting to your videos and how you speak about your passion of growing food. If you want to get into some more “woo-woo” stuff. Here is an interesting bit for you. Light is arguably the most important aspect of our human lives, it controls our circadian rhythm which affects nearly every aspect of our health. Our food has a direct relationship with light. When you eat certain foods it literally has a code that tells your body how much light was needed to grow the food. So it’s very important to eat local and seasonal food as much as possible. Bananas in the in winter somewhere far from the equator is not giving your body the correct idea about what kind of light you are getting. Local and seasonal foods tell our body where we are in the world and what kind of light we are getting. Very eye opening info from a guy called Jack Kruse here on RUclips
Wow that's fascinating. I've never heard of this. Circadian rhythm is something I want to learn more about. I can tell it affects energy levels during winter vs. summer. One of the reasons I love winter now is because it is so much easier to be naturally calm and I think it's because of what you're talking about. Love woo woo. Thanks for sharing and your attention!
It's a kit from Zimmerman High Tunnels. I'd really recommend buying a kit from them or Farmers Friend LLC. It's not much more expensive than DIY and a lot less headache.
@@farmtablewest5991 Thank you for your reply, unfortunately this is made in America, I am looking for something that can be bought in Europe, or better yet, in Spain, where I have a farm. There is a lot of ready-made junk on the market at crazy prices, these metal structures seem very reliable to me and look beautiful and stable.
Well said. I love “playing” in the dirt!
Me too.

That is something I want to learn. How did you learn?

Grounding helps to neutralize / balance out our negative energy charge, its discharge back to the earth
Exactly. It is so true in my experience!
Yes, I don’t understand the people who grow only ornamental flowers. They spend a ton of money on flowers versus growing the food that you eat.
Yes. Food over Flowers. Although I actually want to get better at flowers because pollinators do increase yields of a lot of food.
How did you manage to build such a greenhouse? I really like it. I want to build a greenhouse myself from pipes, pipe connectors and corner pipes!
