- Tired of paying high water bills to keep your lawn green? Hate the thought of showering your vegetable garden in chlorine and fluoride? Learn how to setup your own rain catchment system and start harvesting what Mother Nature is already giving out for free.
I must say that you really explained the process in a way that I truly understood it. I have been watching several videos to be able to harvest rainwater and end up with more questions than answers. Thank you so much this video really helps.
Thanks so much for a clear description of how to do this. Hopefully I can all these parts in Canada.
Thank you very much. I took the information from your video and went shopping at Lowe's and was able to set up my garden hose and stuff. I just ordered a pump from Harbor Freight. Thank you very much.
I have watched a few of these videos and yours is the best I have seen so far. Simple and well explained. I have one tote and just found a guy with 3 more that I have purchased and hope to pick up in a couple of weeks. Getting into gardening and am setting up a system more to play with than anything else. Will same some on the well. Im going to use it also to fill the pool which always makes me worry about taking that much water out of my well at once. I found a 12 volt pump and I am going to use and it will be free as well. I have some solar panels and during the day they top off the batteries by noon so I can use all the 12 volt power I want in the sunshine and still have my batteries to run my Amateur Radio rig at night like I want.
I did not see any glue stains on your pipe, did you glue it?
I like it but it would be awesome for a novice such as my self to have seen a step by step with a label of the pieces you attached to each other to form the pipe system or a really good list of the pieces in order that connects with each other.
I like the way you assembled the unit. Could you please list all the plumbing fixtures you used for this job.
Great set up! Thank you
Great video, well done. This one and the one on greywater system, laundry to garden.
thanks My system uses more storage with sock filters and a solar powered drip system pump. Got a lot of great ideas from you. Keep it up.

This video is great! Just what I'm trying to set up with some slight alterations as I will have 2 -3 IBC totes. I went to the big box store trying to piece together the system only to leave after an hour of not being able to locate exactly what I needed to do this. I know its been a while based on the date of your video, but do you happen to remember the exact parts list that you used? I keep searching online and its a minefield trying to find something you don't know the exact name of. Thanks again. Cheers!
So I've got 18 IBC totes. Stacked three high, I'm trying to figure out the best way to plumb these for our garden, and possibly allow water circulation and filtration. Our irrigation is free and the source is pressurized. Do you have any ideas?
I wanna install caster wheels on ibc tote give me a support which power tools should i use please reply to this !
Are you using any glue when connecting the pipes and fittings? Your video just shows you forcing the pieces together by hand.
interesting concept
Could you just paint the totes black?
How much water do you think you captured in the storm today?
I checked it right before sundown and I'm guessing I've got close to 100 gallons so far.
Cool! What does your tattoo say? Love mom was all I could make out. ..I am weird. Now I am curious what the meaning is. ...
Thanks for checking out the video! The tattoo says "...so proud of you! Love, Mom." My mother unexpectedly passed away a little over two years ago and the tattoo is her handwriting from a card she gave me.
I am sorry about your mom. That's a very meaningful tattoo! I watched your swing set video too! Loved it!
Thanks Kerry!
My husband is very handy like you are. I am going to show him! Such a great idea!
how much pressure do you get when it's full up? Jesus saves!
