I just got my digivice v and your videos definitely help me out when I don't know exactly what to do for certain things like transferring Digimon or using certain features. Thanks for all the help! :)
A: watching this 3 months later and still waiting for the Vital Bracelet to be released in Canada. B: Did i just see him find a Digimon on a Joy-con controller?
@@GabumanX the nfc in the joycon activated a random battle encounter on the vital bracelet. You can use any NFC point. I use mine at the apple pay at my 7-11 lmao.
Luckily I got mine from a Walmart store closing nearby discounted at 75% original price. Funny thing is nobody bought it when it was first 25%, 50%, and finally when the store is near empty everything sells at 75% this Vital Bracket was still sitting on the shelf.
Sprites and art are way too large to transfer over NFC, but the app has all of the necessary sprites and data of all of the Digimon that were officially released, so what is does is quickly reads your stats, creates a copy on the app using the sprites it already has and deletes your digimon from your Vital Bracelet. Transferring stats is quick and easy. But the Vital Bracelets don't have every single Digimon inside of it. In fact they are completely empty until the Dim card transfers all of the sprites and other assets into it. So for example, if you want to battle someone with an Agumon but your Vital Bracelet never used an Agumon Dim before, it has no idea what their Agumon and his attacks are supposed to look like. The data for these sprites are simply too large to transfer with an NFC connection, so the VS Dim is necessary.
@@thetokutickler The only counter to those good points is that almost all the classic style Digimon V-pets can battle each other- they just do it by having only one half of the battle play out on each device, so you only ever see your own Digimon's sprite and the incoming attacks from your opponent. Seems weird that they couldn't just do that again? It could literally just read and send the stats for the battle.
@tofumon : so admin, joycon nintendo switch have nfc connection?,is for scan amiibo?,when use joycon will gonna random digimon coming, sometimes rockie sometimes mega level?,this really like d-scanner digimon frontier scan barcode
This is a great and informative video. Thank you! I got my girlfriend a Vital Bracelet for Valentine’s Day and now we can battle. Her Vital Bracelet has an overall lower volume than mine and we both have a V model. Have you experienced volume differences with your multiple bracelets?
Yes, the original one I got has a lower volume than the V. I think there is a random variation, which is probably normal. I usually have the sound off though.
I get nothing but error messages with my VS DIM. My mon will load up on it but if i pop it into another VB for battles it won't work and results are FAILED
so weird how they chose not to just have them both NFC read each other. Such a missed opportunity. can you imagine, but your wrist up to battle? would be a dope thing. Also, what if its a grudge match and your opponent gets mad and just breaks your dimm? digimon gone forever? seems like a bigggg design flaw.
I miss this feature, way better that the app imo, just having the mons fight by themselves is more true to the vpet experience than the minigames for boost damage/defense
The joycon can be used to trigger the NFC and start a battle. You have to go into the settings on the Switch and choose register an amiibo, and it will work. Or you can have NFC turned on with your cell phone for the same effect.
Can you fight yourself using vs dim? For example i transfer 1 gammamon into vs dim, then i raise another gammamon, can i battle my second gammamon with my first gammamon? The reason i ask because no one in my family have nfc device, i dont mind doing a little jog to get 2 or 3 battle l, however the requirement for mega is a lot more battle
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem so. I just tried it, and while your digimon is loaded onto the VS DIM, you cannot access your backup/storage. So there is no way to pull up your 2nd digimon to try and fight.
Its based on the stats of your digimon and how many vital values you have. There is also a bit of a random aspect to it. Try to fight digimon of a lower stage and also get your vital value up.
How much do these new digifitbits cost? - I'm excited to have a tamagotchi where the stupid thing I keep alive is me. Or a Fitbit where the stupid thing I keep alive is a digimon.
I have seen them online for about 55$-75$. I would try Japan You Want, eBay, or Amazon Japan. They were also just listed on Amazon US, but with a release date in mid November.
What a stupid way to battle, only one person gets to watch the battle unfold ? While the other waits with a blank device ? The thing is equipped with NFC , how hard could it have been to use NFC to battle eachother, Bandai messed up hard
I think it's at the level of Lan Hikari having a normal Navi at this point. We need something customized like MegaMan.EXE at some point. I also read that they can't De-digivolve either.

Buena explicación, y se agradece los subtítulos en español.
very informative. Answered all my questions thank you
Why didn't they just allow us to touch our vital bracelet via nfc and fight? Easier that way
I don't think NFC can transfer enough data for a battle... would have been nice though!

Any way to battle your other digimon if you have one vital bracelet
Unfortunately, there is not.
Why don't digimon make an app with the virtual monster on it

Wait did his switch game controller just evolve his digimon?
I live in the UK and can't bind my Bandai account as uk isn't on the intro does someone have a way to get past this?
I think mine is a Japanese account. I made it back when the 20th vpets had online battles. It should be straightforward with Google translate.
@@tofumon4181 how do I make a japanese account?
@@mrhalloween1152 the lab is in English now, but there's some kanji still scattered about. Mainly in the league end screen after arena seasons end.
I did it a few years ago, but I assume there will be a link to register in the app or somewhere online
I can’t seem to activate the vs dim my pulsemon looks asleep in there was there any requirements for it
Do you have two vital bracelets? You have to put the VS DIM in one first, then the other, to have them battle.
Does the VS dim still works with the BE?
No, the BE does not work with it. The only way to battle is the app.
can you change the language on any of the vital bracelets? i recently ordered one so im curious
No, but there is barely any Japanese on it. You won't have any problems using it. The companion app has a full English translation in it, too.
I wan to ask, how VB BE fight each other VB BE cause its don't have versus memory?
They cant. Used to be you could battle using the app, but it is offline only now.

Can you show me how to battle use nfc in vending machine or any machine use nfc (dont smartphone)
I don't have any vending machines with NFC near me, but it should be as easy as turning the screen on the VB on and pressing it near the NFC reader.
Wait what is that joycon for
