- Hi Everyone! I reacted to Like A Stone by Audioslave a couple months ago but youtube blocked me from posting it. It looks like they have set me me free! 😊 I hope you enjoy and please keep the requests coming!

Yeah, I've said for many years that Chris had what I call a "Freddie Mercury Voice", because like Freddie, Chris's natural talent was to an extreme that would guarantee he would've been wildly successful no matter what musical genre he ventured into.
C.C. Is a legend. He became famous with his first band Soundgarden. He did a one off album in tribute to a friend from another band who had died of an overdose. The band was called Temple of the Dog, and they do a song called Say Hello 2 Heaven. It is a vocal triumph. You need to hear it. Of course C.C. has many legendary hits and tracks from his first band, TofD, Audioslave, and his solo material, but that is the one track out of all of that in which I would suggest first.
Wow! Chris Cornell is so talented! I definitely need to hear more. I love his tone.

That’s the one and only Chris Cornell. Soundgarden was his band, more well known and lots of hits. Audioslave was him with the rest of Rage Against the Machine minus their original lead singer. Chris is always on the top lists of best rock vocalists. Amazing songwriter too. For his real vocal abilities try When I’m Down live at the Troubadour. Chills guaranteed 🙂 He also had a one album band called Temple of the Dog and many solo songs and movie soundtrack songs!

Now you need to react to Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog. Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell do a duet on this song and it's just amazing. Temple of the Dog was a supergroup formed by the bands Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Until then, Eddie Vedder was unknown to everyone and was Chris Cornell's "godson" and lived in Chris' house. Also, the band Pearl Jam was created after this Temple of the Dog project.

It wasn't a supergroup, Pearl Jam didn't really exist at the time. They were songs that Chris wrote for Andy Wood. That whole album is BEAUTIFUL. And please, don't forget those songs were inspired by the late, great, Andy Wood. Mother Love Bone
Eddie Vedder happened to be a guy in the studio that day( having recently started jamming with Stone and Jeff) and he suggested singing the low part while Chris concentrated on the higher part (goin' hungry!)

Audioslave was Chris Cornell's best band imho. These 3 brilliant kickass musicians gave his songs the most exciting sound environment.
I mean I love Audioslave but Soundgarden dig deep into their libary not just songs they play on the radio it will change your life.

First, Chris Cornell was arguably one of the best rock vocalists ever! Only names like Freddy Mercury and Steven Tyler come to mind when I think of Chris. But then you have Tim, Brad, and Tom from RATM! Tom Morello is possibly one of the most innovative rock guitarists since Jimi Hendrix or Eddie Van Halen! However, Brad and Tim (drums & bass) are the unsung heroes! They lay so far back on the beat, they establish such a solid foundation that makes the lead vox and guitar seem even better!
The acoustic version of this song is amazing too

After you hear all of his amazing hits with AudioSlave and Soundgarden....he did a great cover of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean....You will really get a good taste of his vocals and soul in that one. So good.

I see you have some Seattle grunge stuff from the 90s. I know alot of great stuff from that decade, but lots of other stuff aswel.... I guess what I'm trying to say is; what don't you know?

Hi again Kai. Thanks for your kind reply, but I’m totally confused. You said you’d seen some of Amira’s performances & her talent was “ off the charts “ & you previously said she has “serious pipes “, but you have not done a single reaction.
The inference in your reply was that you don’t get enough requests to warrant a reaction. I can understand that to some extent, but being a Soprano she obviously doesn’t get the requests of those artists with a more popular music genre.
You are not alone using this format, but other Reactors, also with a reluctance , who finally did react to Amira, continued reacting to follow her amazing journey & were so glad they did.
Amira has literally millions of fans worldwide, & I’m sure your subscription base would increase should you give her a go.
Try “ Nella Fantasia” when Amira was a mere 12 years old. You really won’t be disappointed.

I never was into Soundgarden but into Rage Against the Machine. He is mainly Audioslave to me. For each his own.

I had the amazing honour of seeing him perform just a fortnight before he passed. I’ll never forget it, out of all the times I’d seen him perform live, it was the most energised, lively I had seen him. It’s spooky to think back, almost like he was at ease with what was coming next. Makes me sad!
Jon is right, Audioslave was this amazing supergroup of musicians coming together. They made incredible music, but it was a sideshow to Rage Against the Machine & Soundgarden
