It looks really great, but there is only one question: How do you deal with the height of the occlusion if the finished tooth is in supraocclusion with the filling in it? You'll have to take off some material as a result and it might mess up the finished look of the tooth a little bit.
I don’t like the dark brown stain you put back in. It could lead another dentist to believe there is decay in there. Also do t need to leave a deep fissure that on a real tooth might be best sealed
Its all Michaelangelo and Da Vinci sculpturing skills until u check the occlusion.. everything will end up with mr.trimming bur destroying your masterpiece!🤦♂️😂
In real life, especially hight productivity busy dental offices, you can not spend that much time for a single class 2 composite restoration. You'd be out of business.
Absolutely beautiful, if it was a show or art piece. Let’s be real here, after you check occlusion, you’ll have to cut down most of that tedious and time consuming work. Beautiful but not practical. I find the occlusal stamp technique to be best in this situation. Beauty and occlusion in one.
Do not confuse two terms. You can get really nice anatomy and stable occlusion. You are doing something wrong if you need to cut almost all of your work. If you don't believe in approach you will never succeed in it
Толеген Капашев Beautiful but not practical and most times the patients don’t care. Time consuming. I put a little anatomy but I don’t go to town like this.
I don't think patients' 'caring' about the anatomy matters. Most just want a tooth colored filling. This is mosty for the dentist's own satisfaction. Also if I do a restoration, I want the patient's next dentist to praise the work I did.
May i ask? What's the purpose of putting that black thing into the teeth? It looks like cavity. I also have that thing in my teeth that tiny black line. 🤔
Well it is art and science offcourse even if you don't agree, u can also refer to defination of operative dentistry , doing it perfectly with natural imperfections totally depends on dentist skills and efficiency to give time.
Very artistic and interesting to watch being done, however it is impractical for everyday dentistry. There must have been about 25 steps to get this result and when you have to grind it down to match occlusion, most of the effort will be lost. Do any patients really like the dark staining? I haven't found any in about 17 years of practice. It is definitely a great piece of wall art though.
I just had a filling like this. If the dentist has explained and given me the option, I would not have had the staining. He also refused to grind it down sufficiently. Now I have to go elsewhere, as I do not trust him and his fancy office.
Can someone tell me is this technique with not curing flow before adding composite to restore a wall in a 2 class effective ? If I’ll cure flowable material and then add “normal” composite does it make a difference ?
Why were the brown stains that look like caries put in there? That couldn't be desirable to anyone. Is this just to show how realistic the restored tooth looks? Also, how much does this cost and how long does it last?
I dont get the end where you put the liquid strip on it that completely covers up all the great anatomy you did and then you cure it and it looks like it did before you put it on lol Also, the random music? It sounds like you are listening to a cover of yourself playing ACDC she shook me all night long LOL
Yeah yeah its beautiful until you realize the dentist who does this type of work has to charge $700 for a 1 surface filling. Try getting a dentist to do this on PPO fees rofl
Con que necesidad le pones pigmento colega ???.. parece una caries...a mi me sale exactamente igual pero no gasto pigmento, para arruinar el trabajo????.. 👎🏼
Being a dentist myself, its sooooo satisfying to watch this video...😁
I am not a dentist and satisfying is the only word I think of for the last 7 mins
I thought I was losing my mind. There's music that comes and goes in this video like someone's playing with the volume 😂
Music not important to me..

Why don’t dentists take an impression before beginning, and make sure the restoration is the same shape?
@@genxx2724 You don't always have an occlusal shape to do an impression off.

Nice... but almost impossible with real patients, after checking occlusion.
You are wrong. By following the cusps all your further corrections can be performed by each cusp separately, without damaging restored primary anatomy
@@tdog4044 hahaha. No. You are wrong. in real world you need hell lot of occlusal adjustment in that situation
I doubt so many layers part by part wouldn't chip off after few days?

Contacts and occlusion are more better than esthetics especially here with a posterior tooth 🦷
Abd Allah especially if it’s for posterior teeth. For anterior teeth, the same holds true but also including most importantly aesthetics.
I don't think patients' 'caring' about the anatomy matters. Most just want a tooth colored filling. This is mosty for the dentist's own satisfaction. Also if I do a restoration, I want the patient's next dentist to praise the work I did.
Patient would be like "doc u left some caries there"... No need for stains
good video, I wish I would be able to get such an ideal scenario at least once in my life..
Excellent work
Wonderful the doctor is an artist
Sorry .. but what the purpose from making those black lines in the groove?
You're an artist wow its individual
Good job doc....agree about stains. I dont like them also.
May i ask? What's the purpose of putting that black thing into the teeth? It looks like cavity. I also have that thing in my teeth that tiny black line. 🤔
Aesthetics. To make to look more natural
Characterisation that is called, to give that outstanding realistic esthetic appearance,
Well it is art and science offcourse even if you don't agree, u can also refer to defination of operative dentistry , doing it perfectly with natural imperfections totally depends on dentist skills and efficiency to give time.
Why would you put the black on the cracks? Why make the tooth dirty?
someday he would go to another dentist and he will put pit and fissure sealet :D

jbyrnedmd unfortunately, it is an affirmation of its clinical reality, not of my reality.

One question: no need of base that isolate the walls towards pulp ? There are other problems also.

Excellent but it will ruin anatomy if there’s a premature contact.

De l'acide orthophosphorique
It is a phosphoric acid etch generally used on real teeth to make the enamel pitted, so the material Honda better
does it hurt or not?
nope
Not if you are well numb. The filling itself wouldn’t hit but otherwise the drilling would feel like you are being electrocuted.
What is this treatment called?
It’s called... a dental filling
restoration
Is that upper 7 ?!
Must be. Because of the tuberculum carabelli
Can I give you articulating paper please. Sure some high point is there.
