We had a snow storm that came last night in Greenville, Mississippi and we lost power, where I couldn’t tune in live to see these beautiful series. Still have no power won’t be restored till after Sabbath. So I’m sitting in my car listening 👂 on the Sabbath Day. I just want to praise God for making this way through Jesus to get my cellphone charged in my car to tune in on RUclips. I thank God and pray all of our chains be broken. Today’s teens - girls especially- are afflicted in the same way as the man is in this story. Many of them are bonded in similar ways to and by their afflicted peers. And I imagine many Christians know that Satan “loooooves” teenagers. The verse outlining how the man had been cutting himself with sharp stones to the point of drawing blood, particularly resonated for me. My daughter continues to do this, along with other unclean behaviours. Her counsellors have said it’s nothing in and of itself to worry about. It doesn’t mean she’s suicidal or ideates. Ummmm, ok…sure. You’re the professional, so whatever you say must be right. SMH 🤦♀️
hey fam, you just continue to lift your daughter up to the Lord God, the mighty physician, Healer of everything. He loves your daughter more than you and what is impossible for man to do is possible with God. Dedicate your daughter to the Lord, put her in His hands, He will heal and take care of her!! Cutting one's self is a sign of internal, emotional pain and stress which she doesn't know to deal with in any other way. It is NOT a healthy way of dealing with internal problems. Find out what is really bothering her and she will stop.
Any counselor that states you don't have to worry about your daughter cutting herself is NOT fit to be a counselor. Move on and find a more suitable one. Pray consistently for your daughter and let the love, peace and light of God shine through you. Encourage her not watch/listen to any demonic movies/music, that is encouraging that lifestyle. I pray your daughter experience the peace of God because she is lacking peace with that self-mutilation.

Hi, pastor doug, why all of us put blame on humans. It is God who designed and planed, and all of us are playing our own roles based on his program. Free will is also his part of plan. Even demon(Lucifer) is playing his role in God's plan. Anyway it is God who decides everything under his control. We are nothing & nothing. Miserable existence. Just pray and rely on God's mercy. I do not know why all pastors just say we are sinners , that is right from God's position. He put us in this program(frame, plan, whatever you name). But no way, follow & obey God's mercy. It all are key telltale signs that something is a miss in the mysticism of the collective being that is the children of God.... So Jesus is all I need to run my life and He has sustained me, through the good and the bad times. God has been my rock and strength in my life. I don't need help from man.

I hear what you are saying fam, but I don't need the world's smartest people to get together in my behalf to understand God, I have a personal relationship with God a one on one with Him and He has worked wonders in my life and my family and friends through answered prayer. John 14:6...Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through Me. So Jesus is all I need to run my life and He has sustained me, through the good and the bad times. God has been my rock and strength in my life. I don't need help from man.

Sdas are not the only adventists.

@@anishambuliro470 Pastor Doug has a whole study on it if you search RUclips, but mainly it's a "standard of modesty" (tho' Not a hard & fast Rule), and part of what many sda's believe is stepping away from "worldliness." One text used is 1st Timothy 2:9 "not to adorn yourselves with gold, pearls, or Costly Array" the latter of which is rather subjective & therefore often ignored. Hope that helps!
