Joe I am telling this video is awesome! Was showing some of the guys at Cass and they are amazed, you have such a great talent keep it up. Walter Scriptunas II
Joe, I gotta say great job with the video. Top notch! And you (or walter) got to get a cab ride in a shay. lucky. look forward to seeing you at other railfan events, andrew aka riograndeman
Regulations are two long, one short, one long at railroad crossings. The men at Cass play with their whistles, and they have some of the best whistle quilling I have ever heard!
This is a preview of a much longer video that we hope to have out in the near future. The views from the cab was an intregal part of the video thus the reason Mr. Fusco got a cabride in Shay #4.

JOE!!!! Another great video. I need to get up there for Railfan weekend!!!!
The Western Maryland used to run to Spruce. The diesels you see belong to the West Virginia Central and came to Spruce from Elkins.

every engineer has its own whistle signature .....thanks for posting
I realized that when i watched the vid again. I checked my old vids from cass. The #6 has that low, warm yet loud whistle. If that makes any sense.

Very nice RS5T on the WM #67...
It is 11 miles to Bald Knob.
Ok. I remember riding to Bald Knob and seeing the Western Maryland line way down below the Cass line. Do they still run trains to Bald Knob?
@ltw420 that freaked me out too, I think it was those E-9's ther that did that
Nice man. Is that the Big #6 whistle i hear at the end? Cass is a GREAT experience.
Great video:)
Nope. That was the other Shay that powered the passenger train. I think Shay 2 wore that hooter.
Love that whistle! Now how did Western maryland get to Cass?
She doesnt have that low whistle anymore, since Danny is now the engineer lol.
Pretty nice video! I was there, it was a good RailFan, except for the Rain. How did you get a cabride? -Jason
