I started watching SUV for the first time several months ago. Started with season one and still watching all the seasons one by one. I simply admire Mariska so much. We are around the same age and still I have so much respect for her, not only as Olivia, but really it’s Mariska that I look up to. 🌹
Ya know 10 years ago Chris seemed to lean into the idea of Bensler as a joke... now he's tripping over his words a bit and addressing it on a deeper level which makes me think maybe it will happen. Or maybe I'm just way overthinking it😂
You are definitely not overthinking. I’m an OG watcher and he definitely talked about it “jumping the shark” when they were on the show back in the day. He’s deff more open to it now that they are on different shows and can explore it better while also maintaining their characters storylines .

Chris love Elliot Stabler because of the impact his character have on so many people like the story he told in this chat (interview is on a set, is less natural, people around, that´s why I love so much this ), but also he knows Elliot left Olivia 10 years and how hurt she is for that, because let´s be clear Eliot made a sacrifice, he sacrificed the love of his life Olivia for the Love of his family, so we know now why he used that world parallel (no spoiler here 🤫 watch svu and organized crime)

I watched this show on the first premier!! To watch their relationship evolve through the first twelve years was special. I remember wanting to dislike Kathy, but she was so sweet! I quit watching when Chris left. I moved to a forest so no satellite reception back then. I am going to have to pick up where I left off and catch up! After a few months or a year I will be there! Thank you for whoever brought them back ❤ together!

But like Mariska and Chris, they also had (and have) a natural, incredibly powerful chemistry. Unlike Mariska and Chris, it took them time to develop the friendship potential in that chemistry. They did, though; to this day, they apparently stay in touch. From a Phile since the mid-90s. 😊

I just went to Amazon to price the purchase of every season of SVU. Some day, it will end and when it does, I don't want to watch the reruns 1hr at a time, since 500 hours = almost 3 WEEKS of continuous viewing!
Both shows are great the regular SVU and the Organized Crime show. They have got to keep both shows going, and keep crossing over on to each other's shows. They're world building like the Marvel Universe at Disney.

As someone who doesn't always watch, but still thinks that this show is as relevant as it was when it began: Noah Benson stabler- really crappy week worth it. Especially Mr. Meloni's reaction.
She'S very extravert ! At ease with her emotions, feelings probably an asset wich makes her such a great actress and person ! Shes so real actually both if them . They dont carry the usual hollywood drama with them!
Now if only we could get detective mike logan back. He was stabler before there was a stabler. I think logan is my favorite law and order character, and he would fit in really well in Chris's new show as a detective. I think stabler and logan would fit together as partners on organized crime, I'd love to see it happen.
I figured out immediately after the episode where Cragen tells Olivia that Stabler was done, that he couldn't have a face to face with Olivia and leave her. They always knew that there was an underlying relationship that there was a subtle navigation through. It was there but not in your face because he was married and loved Kathy. But Olivia was always there too. Kathy knew it too. Even though Olivia denied it, it was still there. And I really don't think that she realized it completely until Cragen told her that he wouldn't be back. That's why when she broke, she fractured.

Mariska and Chris are very good people, because not only did they pioneer a shadowed subject up to that point in history, but they took responsibility for making people feel heard. They were touched by the fan response and reached out to the victims in the community to shine a spotlight on the horror that sexual assault victims face throughout the invasive legal process. They are HEROES.
Ha! No one is going to like my perspective, but I see them more as a brother sister type role and not as a romantic couple. If it eventually grows into something else, I hope it shows this organically because otherwise I don’t see it. Now Carissi and Rollins the chemistry was definitely there! That showed in bright colors…ha! Or Cassidy and Benson, it was definitely there! But Stabler and Benson were more like Donnie and Marie. Anyway…….
