They need to bring back more youth centres for youths to be safeguarded to a certain extent, and to be able to go on trips away with the youth workers as a group getting them away from hanging around on the streets in the 6 weeks holidays. We had youth workers come to us and take us on trips and they would educate us and safeguard us as much as they could. It was the best thing for us that lived on a council estate.
Parents need to start being parents again and not leaving their kids too the streets. As a father myself i do as much with my kids as possible. Be pro active with them take them out and do things with them. Thats the problem today, not enough are pro active.

I'm struggling to find any empathy here. Grammar school & supportive Mum on the scene. She had a better chance than a lot of the kids today, but she rejected that to knowingly run with gangs, sell drugs, torture people & grab money from anyone willing to use her for it.
@@ameliaday344 Where's the judgement? It's an opinion based on what she's publically told everyone. She did get a better start in life than a lot of kids, she chose to go the other way.

She went into that life, because she thought it was cool and then cried wolf when reality hit. I have no sympathy for anyone who ties another person to a bench and sets them on fire.
I agree with you here. She was quite young when this happen. Albeit I remember being 13 and understanding the risk of making certain decisions. Unfortunately to some extent she’s playing the female victim card. She’s downplaying the benefits she received being in a gang (money , power , attention etc )
so sad that she still doesn't really see herself as a groomed victim, it wasn't white privilege, it was because she was used and abused. Those so called gang members are disgusting. I hope she can meet her son one day and get on with being happy
@Dorian Phoenix her so called white privilege got her a life of misery and trauma. Beaten up regularly, shot at, tortured and everything else with that lifestyle. But of course white privilege is the real problem. Good luck to her.
Sending her all the love in the world ! Brave woman for speaking out after reading the comments on this no wonder more people are coming forward to highlight how young women are groomed by these gangs. A product of her own environment with a twisted perspective of reality at the time all this was going on. Never judge a person until you have walked a day in their shoes ❤️.
It wasn't a sustained pattern of grooming though, she sought out several separate groups and conducted herself in this way then started informing when it suited her. She's as bad as the people cooking crack in her kitchen.
@@SUZYPAYNEMaybe, why was she allowed or chose to be in the company of fully grown men at that age? A inconvenient truth is we have a nation with many poor or lazy parents which is what allowed that to happen more than likely. I have sympathy for her first ordeal. Yes, that's one incident of her rapist grooming her, all the following times she chose a lifestyle that created and added to the misery of others and ruined lives, herself included. Just because someone has been the victim once doesn't absolve them of responsibility going forward. She chose her gang affiliations and didn't like the consequences of that life, lay with dogs and you'll get fleas.
Why don't you realise she didn't even begin healing from the grooming that's literally what grooming does... it makes you vulnerable to more grooming unless you have been supported enough to heal from it AND realise what it does to you. Sooo many people who have been groomed, sexually assaulted or sexually abused end up getting assaulted numerous times after the first time. It literally makes you more likely to become a victim again once you have become a victim. There is statistics about this and its well known. Its obvious she has only began processing and healing from these events, even if she did get herself into some of those situations, she got into them because she is vulnerable.
It also doesn't have to be a sustained pattern of grooming. Sexual assault and grooming can happen once and ruin everything in your life for the rest of your life if you don't get supported or you get zero chance to heal and grow from it.
Have you people any concept of what someone who's been through this abuse goes through on a daily basis....if she didn't feel strong on the day and wanted to just speak her mind without worrying about her face being shown....isn't that brave enough???? Key board warriors....so brave eh🤫

Hi James - I wanted to get in contact with you as I saw you did a podcast for top girl. Surving gangs of London. I wanted to potentially tell you a story that happened to me. When I was a pawn for fraud. I ended up getting set up by my best friend and boyfriend. And ended up getting held at gun point and raped and beaten. I wanted to finally speak up about it as I feel women and young girls need to know not to get them self involved in gangs in london as to this day I am traumised. Is there anything you can do? And help me to preach what I need to say. Thanks
When she says that in her early teens she craved for the protection from a father, should be remembered by absent fathers and single mothers who chose to be single for their own reasons. The truth is that all kids need a dad to give them a sense of protection and for giving children a stable and safe upbringing.
Very interesting. I disagree with you James that everyone has some goodness in them. There are some (only a tiny minority) who are pure wrong 'uns. But, I do see your point. I think your guest has a lot of goodness. County Lines cause nothing but misery and the Police have done a masterful job smashing a lot of them up. It is interesting to listen to this interview.
i don’t think she made out that she was as green as grass , she just doesn’t have emotions due to her ptsd as a result of the things she’s been through .
Our youth workers would help us in soo many ways. We could confide in them and get guidance on personal situations to even getting a job or go into education. It was such a positive thing and this is what is lacking in the communities
37:55 - Thank you! I’ve been wanting to hear about the psyche of a drug dealer. I think this man sums it up. There is no regard for the person dealers are selling drugs to. But to be thinking, “That person’s addicted mum/dad/brother/sister/son daughter etc., is going to get me a Gucci belt,” is beyond low. Thank goodness this man had an epiphany though! He clearly needed it.

She also has choices not to attack another person and light them on fire.... Whilst she regrets?? By her own admission she has emotional stuanting... Psychopathy? I completely agree with Superdaish. YOU SET SOMEONE ON FIRE AND YOU FEEL NOTHING?? This person is not a psychopath, she is a sociopath. The #1 trait is when someone knows it's wrong, but doesn't care. Then she backtracks and says she called an ambulance ..wow. They simply cant understand that Karma settles up with everyone eventually. Lie with street Dogs and you will catch street Fleas. Zero sympathy for them !
I understand why she is covering her face, her entire position is lacking personal responsibility, this is not a child that was groomed its a teenager who pretended to be older decided to sleep with older road men, decided to sell drugs, decided to rent out her house to said road men decided to be involved in gangs, decided to go county lines. Infinite bad choices on her part and that's why she lost her son. I find it hard to listen to this victim mentality, this women made these choices she wasent forced. What did you think would happen when sleeping with gang members and selling drugs? No mention of how abusive she proably was in all her relationships with these "bad men" based on what happened to her based of her own choices. Her son is the only victim here.
This poor girl was a product of her environment. It’s not easy to climb out of the shit. But she is very articulate and communicates very well. Nothing anyone can say on here will make her feel any more shit than she probably already feels on a day to day basis. If you are reading this keep going and one day your son will reach out to you. God bless you xxxx

Totally different ball game nowadays.
Totally 💯 probably best to be a gamer at homes these days
Tulisa?
Parents need to start being parents again and not leaving their kids too the streets. As a father myself i do as much with my kids as possible. Be pro active with them take them out and do things with them. Thats the problem today, not enough are pro active.
She said she had no emotions after setting a girl on fire and doing other heinous thing's, but then goes on to say she feels bad for her mother, and felt bad for a rapist . Strange girl
You sick bastard is that really what you take from listening to this? She said she felt bad for people whilst she was still young before she had ptsd, the awful events that happened in her younger years caused the complex ptsd (caused her to lose feelings) you’re the strange one man not her
@@cbaker2303 come on you bring her back to Yr mums for Sunday lunch would you? I thought nice women hope you get Yr head in a better place
@@cbaker2303 she is strange. She kept putting herself in these situations , kept bringing her son around all that bs . She’s a fool and has bought it on herself

@@joj3744 Not sure you quite understand what a narcissist is
as someone that can relate to her previous lifestyle, I’m so thankful and blessed I was able to leave before experiencing something like this. please be careful if your a teen in the uk😞
Don't be dramatic 🙄
I'm struggling to find any empathy here. Grammar school & supportive Mum on the scene. She had a better chance than a lot of the kids today, but she rejected that to knowingly run with gangs, sell drugs, torture people & grab money from anyone willing to use her for it.
She was raped on her 13th birthday.
Maybe that changed her 🤔
She was groomed by older men with money, designer items and a comfortable life as an incentive! Don’t be so quick to judge
@@ameliaday344 Where's the judgement? It's an opinion based on what she's publically told everyone. She did get a better start in life than a lot of kids, she chose to go the other way.
And yeah she blames it all on "White privilege". Stupid girl. You know I'm really, really getting tired of so many girls and boys like this. Take some God damn responsibility.
It's amazing that we have these kinda stories told to bring light to some of the dark things that do happen
Psychopaths feel nothing not PTSD sufferers
Sociopath no ??
@@breenirwin2356 no definitely psycho
She burnt a girl alive though 😭 she’s absolutely horrendous
😮
I agree! What she has done is disgusting
so sad that she still doesn't really see herself as a groomed victim, it wasn't white privilege, it was because she was used and abused. Those so called gang members are disgusting. I hope she can meet her son one day and get on with being happy
White privilege doesn’t exist
@Dorian Phoenix her so called white privilege got her a life of misery and trauma. Beaten up regularly, shot at, tortured and everything else with that lifestyle. But of course white privilege is the real problem. Good luck to her.
Sending her all the love in the world ! Brave woman for speaking out after reading the comments on this no wonder more people are coming forward to highlight how young women are groomed by these gangs.
A product of her own environment with a twisted perspective of reality at the time all this was going on.
Never judge a person until you have walked a day in their shoes ❤️.
Strongest women omg the most emotional and horrible story ever for her to come this far in life she is an absolute trooper
It wasn't a sustained pattern of grooming though, she sought out several separate groups and conducted herself in this way then started informing when it suited her. She's as bad as the people cooking crack in her kitchen.
I agree mate
She was 12 years old did you not listen to her story she was 13 when he raped her
@@SUZYPAYNEMaybe, why was she allowed or chose to be in the company of fully grown men at that age?
I like how you let people actually speak.
Why is her face blured out when its on the cover of her book ?
How do you know it’s her?
Good question don't seem real if the face is blurred out not impressed

Thanks

Really enjoyed today's podcast I wish her all the best she deserves to be happy x
When she says that in her early teens she craved for the protection from a father, should be remembered by absent fathers and single mothers who chose to be single for their own reasons.
The truth is that all kids need a dad to give them a sense of protection and for giving children a stable and safe upbringing.
The single biggest issue in the UK today we need more fathers in the home
Very interesting. I disagree with you James that everyone has some goodness in them. There are some (only a tiny minority) who are pure wrong 'uns. But, I do see your point. I think your guest has a lot of goodness. County Lines cause nothing but misery and the Police have done a masterful job smashing a lot of them up. It is interesting to listen to this interview.
Brilliant podcast as always but in my eyes this girl is not as green as the grass she makes out. Just my opinion. HOPE im wrong
i don’t think she made out that she was as green as grass , she just doesn’t have emotions due to her ptsd as a result of the things she’s been through .
Man said change your life if youre on a building site like its such a hard life, im getting £35 an hour 10 hours a day as a carpenter on building sites it can go up to £100 an hour when doing it on a price work basis rather than hourly rate, im getting more than most drug dealers on the street and i dont have to look over my shoulder, i got this job through probation after 3 prison sentences did a two year apprenticeship on £3.60 an hour it was hard but once it was done im set for life.......

It never ceases to amaze me how Wrong Un's / Plastic Gangsters always want to focus on how tough it was for them blah blah, like they never had a choice. They simply cant understand that Karma settles up with everyone eventually. Lie with street Dogs and you will catch street Fleas. Zero sympathy for them !
Life will bite you in the ass. Like they say, live by the sword, die by the sword.
27 mins in - no sympathy for her, she's encouraged all this herself
I don't think she's looking for your sympathy!
