    Absolutely brilliant James. You'll have a million subs by the end of the year, no doubt.! I didn't realise how much of a sheltered life I've had. Her recollections were of things I've only seen in films. Very heartfelt & honest. It seemed like your interview was very cathartic for her. I wish her every success with her book & life. A real survivor.! Bless up bro 👊

    Danielle's book is a hard read but important,should be available in all schools so young people see the reality behind what seems an exciting and glamorous life to too many young people,until they get sucked in and effectively trapped.
    Danielle is very honest and has been through some seriously bad stuff that she's trying to save others from,respect to her for that and if she saves one young person from wrecking their life she's done a great job.

    37:55 - Thank you! I’ve been wanting to hear about the psyche of a drug dealer. I think this man sums it up. There is no regard for the person dealers are selling drugs to. But to be thinking, “That person’s addicted mum/dad/brother/sister/son daughter etc., is going to get me a Gucci belt,” is beyond low.

      @@SUZYPAYNEMaybe, why was she allowed or chose to be in the company of fully grown men at that age? A inconvenient truth is we have a nation with many poor or lazy parents which is what allowed that to happen more than likely. I have sympathy for her first ordeal. Yes, that's one incident of her rapist grooming her, all the following times she chose a lifestyle that created and added to the misery of others and ruined lives, herself included. Just because someone has been the victim once doesn't absolve them of responsibility going forward. She chose her gang affiliations and didn't like the consequences of that life, lay with dogs and you'll get fleas.

    • @nlcnlcnlc
      @nlcnlcnlc 2 года назад

      Why don't you realise she didn't even begin healing from the grooming that's literally what grooming does... it makes you vulnerable to more grooming unless you have been supported enough to heal from it AND realise what it does to you. Sooo many people who have been groomed, sexually assaulted or sexually abused end up getting assaulted numerous times after the first time. It literally makes you more likely to become a victim again once you have become a victim. There is statistics about this and its well known. Its obvious she has only began processing and healing from these events, even if she did get herself into some of those situations, she got into them because she is vulnerable.

    • @nlcnlcnlc
      @nlcnlcnlc 2 года назад +7

      It also doesn't have to be a sustained pattern of grooming. Sexual assault and grooming can happen once and ruin everything in your life for the rest of your life if you don't get supported or you get zero chance to heal and grow from it.

    I understand why she is covering her face, her entire position is lacking personal responsibility, this is not a child that was groomed its a teenager who pretended to be older decided to sleep with older road men, decided to sell drugs, decided to rent out her house to said road men decided to be involved in gangs, decided to go county lines. Infinite bad choices on her part and that's why she lost her son.
    I find it hard to listen to this victim mentality, this women made these choices she wasent forced. What did you think would happen when sleeping with gang members and selling drugs?
    No mention of how abusive she proably was in all her relationships with these "bad men" based on what happened to her based of her own choices. Her son is the only victim here.

    She is very matter of fact in her account of it all, even when mention of her son it was all clinical and business as usual … For me it seems like from day one she wanted to be in this life style, possibly not knowing what it entails but at the same time getting into Grammar school you have to have a certain amount of intelligence so for me she is down playing a lot possibly so as not to be dragged on here … She done it all for money so clearly she knew what she was doing at a certain point …. Drug dealers always only care about their bottom line, they would sell to their child if they could and she herself said it, she had white privilege so of course she will continue to do because she knew she would get away with it …. Those dudes that ran with her are fools …. The interviewer also showed her white privilege and didn’t really see her as anything other than a victim even though she clearly told him (white privilege) that she wasn’t ….

      Being ‘clinical’ and ‘business as usual’ is nothing to do with not caring or anything similar; when you experience trauma, you mentally disassociate and develop a numb feeling towards these things in order to survive. If not, you will mentally implode and lose your sanity. The only way you can verbally discuss complex traumas is to disassociate from it emotionally which can come across as blasé for people who aren’t knowledgeable about these things or just ignorant and nasty.
