@theljiljka :) thx - plus there is Regina - Ave Maria,so quite clear I think:) But you're right that she ( Debbie) sometimes sings "Latina", but in that case I'm not sure what that suppose to mean... Anyways quite interesting:)
@xxxRosexxx2 @MartaLeiden @luchianoxxx I actually think Deb does say "Regina." "Ave Maria" means "Hail Mary" in Latin and is a Catholic prayer. In Catholicism, Mary is sometimes referred to as the "Queen of Heaven" and "Regina" means "Queen." You'll find lots of songs like the "Ave Maria" called "Salve Regina," also referring to Mary. So it makes sense that it's "regina," because it has a religious connection to the "Ave Maria" lyric as well as the "million and one candle lights."
@theljiljka well, originally its REGINA - just think, Maria - like Mother of the God (Jesus) - therefore Regina (latin for Queen) - from latin Regina Coeli ( Queen of the Heaven). Otherwise,it would make no sense;))
everytime someone from German sings this song in karaoke in youtube they say 'latina'.. here in brazil (and in the usa too, i belive) they say 'regina'.. i'm really confused about that too.. but 'latina' doesnt seem to make sense, i dont know.. i sing 'regina'
no!! It's Maria, you've gotta see her, Go insane and out of your mind! Latina (Because Maria is a Latin name and probably the girl was a Latina) Ave Maria (like being on a pedestal and because she was probably too young for him, the guy couldn't touch her...He was idolizing her! Those are the right words! Thanks!
Genial, limpio, muy buen trabajo. Felicidades!!!
