I owned a Scrambler 900 for about a year. It was a incredible bike, but I unfortunately sold it because I bought into the MC industry's dream of going touring on a real touring machine, a dream that didnt quite come to be. Should just have kept this. Had all I really needed.

Owned one for 2 years prior to the CL500 . A great bike that was always a styling exercise having being previously called the Street Scrambler of course , an appropriate name to avoid confusion, (particularly by the American audience !)
I loved mine , only negative was the traditional Bonny weight .... I never understood why they could not have removed 20KG over the years of developing the whole Bonneville range as they are aimed at the more mature biker who would surely appreciate the weight saving.

Speedtwin 900 is 12kg lighter than T100 but T100 looks better.I'm stuck between the 2 & keep changing my mind between them.T100 got 2.5L larger tank & longer front fender & 2pot Brembo front brake as Speedtwin got 4pot Brembo front brake & lower seat & alloy wheels which I like.Tough decision & add Scrambler 900 in the mix as well🤔🤔🤔.

I got a few months to decide.A Scrambler be great bike in NZ 🇳🇿 but can only carry 1 pannier but get out to those magical places that are at the end of gravel roads.Having 19" front wheel handle the gravel roads chuck a tail bag & 1 pannier on & go moto camping. So many places in NZ 🇳🇿 with gravel roads. My old Interceptor handled the well used gravel roads alright but the less traveled gravel roads with loose deep gravel was a slow trip.A
Scrambler handle the loose deep stuff sweet as & got better tyre's too & can get even better.Ideally you'd want 2bikes but that comes down to budget & also in NZ 🇳🇿 bike Registration is $500 per bike 😲🤯🤬 so alot if people only own one bike or put one bike on hold for 7-8 months of the year.A Scrambler 900 be a great al-round bike if can only have one bike & want to get out to places at end of gravel roads like beaches, rivers, water falls & go moto camping etc.Being a 900 cruise along at Highway speeds easily as well & have good handling in the wet too.

I would marry a Triumph Scrambler 900 in a heartbeat. Cracking looking bike. It's a country lanes bike that can cope with potholes, mud, gravel and steep ups and downs. Can't you just see Lawerence of Arabia speeding round the lanes of Devon, silk scarf streaming? But we know what happened to him.
I know someone who's got one with bar end mirrors and a custom exhaust and it's very naughty. You can hear him coming a full minute before you see him 🤭

Nice bike for scrambling through the urban jungle or the occasional gravel road .
I test rode one and loved it . I did find a third ride mode ( off road ) but I seem to recall there was a special way to find it . Also you can turn off the TC which is essential for " off roading " .

Great look at the 900 Scrambler MR TAYM!
I rode one of the 1200 scramblers, did a bit of off-road on it and was surprised how capable the bike was.
I think the 900 Scrambler is really all the bike most riders would need for normal adventuring on. The ground clearance isn't the best, sure. Most riders will never need more clearance than the 900, because most riders aren't going to take a gorgeous and expensive bike into gnarly situations.
I wouldn't be afraid of owning one and seeing how deep into ADV riding it could take me. A key here is that the bike will most probably be reliable, along with that it isn't too tall and that's the key to riding sane off-road tracks. I'm sure someone makes a sturdy skid plate for the bike.
P.S. I usually hate the single clock set-up but really like it on the 900 Scrambler.

I do like it TAYM but I guess it is more of a styling exercise rather than any off-road ability. It's to catch that Steve McQueen vibe. I think it is a bit of a shame they didn't go further with the styling and make it like a proper 60's desert sled.
