    In the pulling video you added vinegar. Would that also be needed for pouring. I intend to make sugar cubes in various shapes to dissolve in coffee and am a little worried the vinegar will affect the taste.

    • @RogersPowell
      @RogersPowell  7 лет назад

      Hi. Yes the technique is very similar depending of the shape of the candy, it could be pulled instate of being poured.
      Thank you for watching.

    has anyone tried casting sugar in a plaster mold? Silicone is too expensive for the size of my object. The issue i've run into is that no release agent has really worked for me so far.

      Unfortunately not if your piece is thin. You might have to create your own mold out of something else.

    Can i add diced strawberrys or something else, to add to the look and tast to the sugar glass, or would it mess up the glass and make it brake to fast. Maybe add it after the sugar is fully cooked, then pour it in the molds.

      Would not add something with a lot of water, almonds or something would probably work though

      The molten material is very hot! It would be like deep-frying the strawberries. Might be violent. You know peanut brittle is made like this to some extent, the peanuts cook in the hot molten sugar.
