I spent 24 yrs in the Military and if you don't fight against Racism and Gender Discrimination . People in power that have these views implement their views. I took over a Jet Propulsion shop in the Air Force that was run by 1 of these Racist guy and everyone in the shop was white and no females as well. I am of Puerto Rican descent 8 yrs in the Corp and a Jet Mech 1 of those yr in the Transit line at Andrews . I then signed with the Air Force spent 2 yrs at Texas Tech got a Degree in Aviation Propulsion and Airframes . then went to the Air Forces Jet Propulsion school for a year at Sheppard's AFB . i GRADUATED Number 2 in my class was recruited by All the Jet Engine Manufacturers and Also was recruited by several different Bases to head up their Jet Propulsion shop The number 1 guy got no offers, mainly because he had no real experience working on Aircrafts or as I call it REAL Life stuff. Whereas I've worked on various different Aircraft Engines . A-4 F-8 F-5 F-4, Harriers . F-15 the list goes on. Out of our class 205 students only 132 graduated . At our reunion only 45 people were still in the field I learned after the 1st year half were out of Military .
