I tried teaching my cousin about ground forces and how to play but the catch was I had to do it in low tier Ground AB since thats what he is used to. So in the process of telling him "this is good" and "this is dumb" I triple aced in a BT-5 with no deaths. I have never felt so bad about playing low tier, i probably ruined a few new player's day.
Flying as a bait for a new player is amazing, not only you help your mate but also flex on the enemy with pure manuevering. The only thing missing that would make this match better was use of smoke, just to make enemies extra salty.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Well, i agree it can ruin the scene, but the additional benefit of enemy trying to get back at you for being cocky makes it a great tool for baiting. I dont use it that much, but i have to say it works more often than it should lol

Hey Adam, I noticed you mainly fly fighters and light aircraft. I’m wondering if you even considered trying something heavier like a B-25? specifically the one with nose mounted 50 cals. I think it’ll be cool to show the potential bombers can have on a match in the hands of an aggressive player.
I gotta get started with the Ki line in the Japanese tree. I've almost entirely ignored fighters as I grind and spade bombers for ground battles. They seem like fighters you can just do anything in, fly rings around contemporaries, but without much firepower to speak of.
A real man would have killed the entire lobby. Jokes aside that was a pretty fun and long journey to be apart of. But joe for the love of god please play something other than 2.7.

Im a bit of a noob, but ive always wondered what is the point of “boom and zoom” fighters, when turn fighters like spits and zeros still have an advantage with the better energy just like the boom and zoom aircraft, but then turnfighters should have an advantage when on equal energy aka an equal fight
They are typically fast aircraft and can hence choose when to engage and disengage, and if you have the energy advantage over enemies it'll be hard for them to hit you, while if you're in a dogfight against multiple enemies, even if you turn better they'll still get a shot on you while you're busy with someone else.
So, I had a question. In planes that do not have an oil radiator, like fws, spitfires, does the radiator setting help cool the oil also, or only engine?

How would you play a russian plane? Not very fast, not very slow, not the best acceleration, not the worse, very manouvrable but only below 2500 - 3000 m, potent guns, but 3 - 4 seconds of shooting time, quite a bit of bullet drop...
Yeah, they sound strange in the statistics but when you play them...they are good. What you Need to play them Is a trigger domination, good aim, good Energy knowledge and then you are ready to go

Overall they are solid except at high alt, lure higher enemies lower and BnZ lower enemies. Depends what you're facing, Spitfires and Japanese aircraft will outturn you while you outturn Germans and US.
The thing that i enjoy with russian props Is Energy trapping the enemy with your acceleration or lure him down, make him burn his Energy and then fuck him with your retention and acceleration. Obviously this happens at a maximum of 4000m (It depends on the Plane)
Yeah getting 5 kills is fun, but for me it's funnier when I bait people and look down how they get raped by my entire team while they're literally at zero IAS. Like hyenas devouring a wildebeest alive. War thunder violence 18+.

I got back into war thunder after finding your channel, really cool seeing real life concepts and tactics being used to stomp in RB. I just got a 7k yesterday in a 190, and subsequently threw it to a VB-10 that took a burst of 20's like a pro and then decided to reject plane and become helicopter to prophang and snipe me from 1.2k. Would have been a 9k win if I'd gotten him.

@@AdamTheEnginerd the default control in War Thunder. It should be the first control mode when you click on controls it"ll be a the first one at the top. It uses the instructor and auto engine controll. Good luck
My biggest problem getting an ace is that my teammates always don’t give me enough time. I usually get really close in my p51H and 4 kills before my teammates kill everyone else
Joe is fucking hilarious, the contrast between hardened veterans and himself is just too much - loved every second of it. He's also waaaaaaaay more of an entertainer (and I think you will agree) than you are (you """""just""""" entertain us with your huge knowledge and skill that is out of this world), and therefore I would like to ask for more Joe - ace is only the beginning, imagine him doing his first reversal! Ton of fun, and let's be honest - there are a tons of players that just don't have your patience, this one should be shared through all WT community, because teamplay is all that this game should be all about... And it bloody isn't.

my highest kill count ever was 8 killa with Typhoon mk1, but my carry moment was a 1v5 in a full uptier with f4u 4B. I killed them five but I lost for tickets.
Just managed to finally get my F2G, how should I play it effectively? (Personally I'm more of a turn and burn player and yes I have potato aim), second question, what can I do when I'm in my bf109 g-14 (with 20mm pods) against a F82E who insists on hit and run....
The problrm I have with f2g-1 is the fact that on paper it seems getting out performed by k-4s (at 5000 F2G have approx 702 when k4 can reach 720 at 6000), plus the 18k repair cost that can draw my personal bank empty in a blink of an eye :(
From my personal experience so far playing F2Gs wont likely yield many encounters with the k4 due to the difference in BR. The props you will most likely encounter are mk22 and mk24 spits and ta 152 H. Both of which will best you in a turn and burn fight. The F2G can out climb spitfires so you will likely find yourself above them anyway then its just boom and zoom The ta 152 H has airspawn. Never dogfight especially above 5000m Lure it down to lower altitude towards your team mates. You have superior diving and high speed manuever than both these props so if you get into trouble just dive away to above 700 IAS Since they'll compress and probably break wings going at those speeds and manuevering will lead to them blacking out whilst you have a G Suit Otherwise your most likely gonna encounter early jets and because so many people are playing F2G recently you may end up fighting american teams as well of which the F8F is a better turner, the P51 H is your equal and the F7F will outspeed you. They can all catch you in a dive as well.
Against early jets fight at medium to altitude between 3500 to 5000m Early jet performance suffers at those altitudes Here you can turn fight since F2G can out turn and out roll most early jets Beware of Meteors, Ho229s and R2Y2s though They can out turn you
First off, G10 is a better deal for the BR than the G14 if you watch my video comparing high tier Bf109s. An F82 will always be able to run away from you, you should climb and get the altitude advantage when he does that though.
GG all. A ce niveau, c'est plus de l'aide c'est du babysitting :P Ki-44 et F4U. C'est le Corsair à 2,7 ? Ahaha ça devrait aller (je veux pas faire le rabat-joie mais quand même) Pour moi les Ki-44 sont bien trop bas BR, le 2nd Ki-44 (le otsu ou hei, je sais plus) est même plus rapide que le premier FW 190 (à moins que ça ait changé) ! Il devrait monter en 3,3 au moins. Et les F4U Corsairs à un BR plus bas ou équivalent à leur prédécesseur, le F6F : Gaijin WTF ?! 0:20 "bad guns" ? Vraiment ? C'est celui avec les 4 x 12,7 non ? Il n'a pas beaucoup de munitions mais à ce BR, l'armement est pas si mal. Et puis, si en contrepartie tu as un chasseur intouchable alors ce n'est pas un problème, je pense ^^ 5:20 "oh geez !" -"Did you die ?" Effectivement, il est plutôt inexpérimenté. Je veux dire, ça t'arrives souvent de rentrer dans tes adversaires par erreur (ramming) ? Parce que là, vu ton avion et vu la situation, il n'y avait vraiment aucun danger ... mais il a directement pensé que tu étais mort XD C'est vrai qu'un Ace n'est pas quelque chose qui arrive tous les jours en Air RB, donc je comprend sa joie mais ... Maintenant, Joe, essaie de faire un Ace en solo (comme la plupart des joueurs) ! ^^
Haha shhh! Ki44 a une très bonne performance, mais son armament n'est pas très bon c'est pour ça qu'il a le BR qu'il a. 4 50cal qui sont nettement inférieurs aux 50cal US. Ouais F6F même BR que F4U n'a pas de sens en effet. Il pensait que j'étais mort parce que ma réaction était particulièrement vive à cet instant, mais en fait j'avais peur d'avoir tué l'ennemi pendant le screen freeze haha. Il a fait un ace solo 1-2 semaines après ce match!
@@AdamTheEnginerd C'est vrai que les 4x 12,7 japonaises sont pas l'armement le plus efficace à ce BR mais honnêtement en 1 vs 1 je n'aurais pas peur d'affronter des avions en 3,3 vu les performances du Ki-44 hei. Il a peu d'avion avec lequel je n'aurais absolument aucune hésitation face des avions de plus haut BR. Un armement un peu faible n'a pas vraiment d'importance si les performances de l'avions le rende virtuellement intouchable, je trouve. Comme je disais, je pense qu'en 3,3 le Ki-44 hei serait toujours une terreur ^^ Le C.202 est un peu dans le même cas (2,3 ?!), mais lui il a vraiment un moins bon armement que le Ki-44 hei, il me semble.
@@StealthySparky L'armement est important lorsque ça fait la différence entre un kill en 1 pass et nécessité plusieurs pass pour avoir le kill. En soyant obligé de se concentrer sur un ennemi pendant plus de temps, on est vulnérable aux autres ennemis.

I got back into war thunder after finding your channel, really cool seeing real life concepts and tactics being used to stomp in RB.
I just got a 7k yesterday in a 190, and subsequently threw it to a VB-10 that took a burst of 20's like a pro and then decided to reject plane and become helicopter to prophang and snipe me from 1.2k. Would have been a 9k win if I'd gotten him.

@@AdamTheEnginerd the default control in War Thunder. It should be the first control mode when you click on controls it"ll be a the first one at the top. It uses the instructor and auto engine controll. Good luck
My biggest problem getting an ace is that my teammates always don’t give me enough time. I usually get really close in my p51H and 4 kills before my teammates kill everyone else

Japanese planes are the easiest planes to get Ace thanks to their best Dog Fighting performance

Ton of fun, and let's be honest - there are a tons of players that just don't have your patience, this one should be shared through all WT community, because teamplay is all that this game should be all about...

Yeah unfortunately teamplay isn't really sought after between randoms, it's part of the reason why squadding up is powerful.

Same, the highest kill count for me was 4. Either run out of things to kill or get swarmed by half of the enemy team.

Started late spring/early summer IIRC.
my highest kill count ever was 8 killa with Typhoon mk1, but my carry moment was a 1v5 in a full uptier with f4u 4B. I killed them five but I lost for tickets.

Hmm don't force it, do other things and play other games if you don't enjoy it. But, doing your best to win is how I have fun in any game personally.
Just managed to finally get my F2G, how should I play it effectively? (Personally I'm more of a turn and burn player and yes I have potato aim), second question, what can I do when I'm in my bf109 g-14 (with 20mm pods) against a F82E who insists on hit and run....
The problrm I have with f2g-1 is the fact that on paper it seems getting out performed by k-4s (at 5000 F2G have approx 702 when k4 can reach 720 at 6000), plus the 18k repair cost that can draw my personal bank empty in a blink of an eye :(
From my personal experience so far playing F2Gs wont likely yield many encounters with the k4 due to the difference in BR. The props you will most likely encounter are mk22 and mk24 spits and ta 152 H. Both of which will best you in a turn and burn fight.
The F2G can out climb spitfires so you will likely find yourself above them anyway then its just boom and zoom
The ta 152 H has airspawn. Never dogfight especially above 5000m
Lure it down to lower altitude towards your team mates.
You have superior diving and high speed manuever than both these props so if you get into trouble just dive away to above 700 IAS
Since they'll compress and probably break wings going at those speeds and manuevering will lead to them blacking out whilst you have a G Suit
Otherwise your most likely gonna encounter early jets and because so many people are playing F2G recently you may end up fighting american teams as well of which the F8F is a better turner, the P51 H is your equal and the F7F will outspeed you.
They can all catch you in a dive as well.
Against early jets fight at medium to altitude between 3500 to 5000m
Early jet performance suffers at those altitudes
Here you can turn fight since F2G can out turn and out roll most early jets
Beware of Meteors, Ho229s and R2Y2s though
They can out turn you
First off, G10 is a better deal for the BR than the G14 if you watch my video comparing high tier Bf109s. An F82 will always be able to run away from you, you should climb and get the altitude advantage when he does that though.

Pour moi les Ki-44 sont bien trop bas BR, le 2nd Ki-44 (le otsu ou hei, je sais plus) est même plus rapide que le premier FW 190 (à moins que ça ait changé) ! Il devrait monter en 3,3 au moins. Et les F4U Corsairs à un BR plus bas ou équivalent à leur prédécesseur, le F6F : Gaijin WTF ?!
0:20 "bad guns" ? Vraiment ? C'est celui avec les 4 x 12,7 non ? Il n'a pas beaucoup de munitions mais à ce BR, l'armement est pas si mal. Et puis, si en contrepartie tu as un chasseur intouchable alors ce n'est pas un problème, je pense ^^

Ki44 a une très bonne performance, mais son armament n'est pas très bon c'est pour ça qu'il a le BR qu'il a. 4 50cal qui sont nettement inférieurs aux 50cal US.
Ouais F6F même BR que F4U n'a pas de sens en effet.
Il pensait que j'étais mort parce que ma réaction était particulièrement vive à cet instant, mais en fait j'avais peur d'avoir tué l'ennemi pendant le screen freeze haha.
Il a fait un ace solo 1-2 semaines après ce match!
@@AdamTheEnginerd C'est vrai que les 4x 12,7 japonaises sont pas l'armement le plus efficace à ce BR mais honnêtement en 1 vs 1 je n'aurais pas peur d'affronter des avions en 3,3 vu les performances du Ki-44 hei. Il a peu d'avion avec lequel je n'aurais absolument aucune hésitation face des avions de plus haut BR.
Un armement un peu faible n'a pas vraiment d'importance si les performances de l'avions le rende virtuellement intouchable, je trouve.
Comme je disais, je pense qu'en 3,3 le Ki-44 hei serait toujours une terreur ^^
Le C.202 est un peu dans le même cas (2,3 ?!), mais lui il a vraiment un moins bon armement que le Ki-44 hei, il me semble.
@@StealthySparky L'armement est important lorsque ça fait la différence entre un kill en 1 pass et nécessité plusieurs pass pour avoir le kill. En soyant obligé de se concentrer sur un ennemi pendant plus de temps, on est vulnérable aux autres ennemis.
Can u tell me if a ta 152h is better than the f2g or it is the other way around.
They are very different, I haven't even flown the F2G yet though.
