"Avalancha" was Soraya's second Top 10 single from her 1996 CD "En Esta Noche" which included her other hit songs "De Repente" and "Quedate." From Soraya's autobiography, "Avalancha" dealt with her own thoughts of the world toppling around her and was inspired by Stevie Nicks's "Landslide," a song that Soraya credited with making her a better person.
