I replied to another comment but wanted to ask you the following. My daughters 2014 Kia Sportage has headlights with the scratched up exterior. Not sure the led light will shine through that or if I need to purchase the entire headlight and not just replace old bulb with new led bulb. She goes to school back East and the streets aren’t as well lit as in AZ. Is there a product that can really buff out the scratches from the exterior headlight?
2:59 the other light blinks due to the refresh rate being slower than the camera's frame rate. Basically the bulb is flashing so slow the camera is picking up the moments where it's not fully illuminated.
Thanks a lot! Does it make a difference if a cable on the LED one is directed upwards or downwards? Because factory halogen bulb is directed downwards.
Jhon my daughter has a 2014 Sportage she took to college. Were you able to replace them the same way? I am going to see her in about a month and want to replace the bulbs. Her headlights don’t illuminate very well. I am worried it’s because of the foggy/scratched exterior of the light. Hoping the led light can shine through that.
Great video! I just installed them flowing your video. One question I have is there isn’t much room between the led fan and the original dusk cover, I’m worried it won’t be able to cool properly, the dusk cover pretty much seals the back. Do you think it will be an issue? Thank you!
We currently do not have a video that shows the other light. I will keep this request in mind in the event that I need to make this repair in the future.
I'm just curious about on 2020 sportage in reference to the voltage or wattage, amperage if the LED lights will get hot enough to cause the harness to melt the rubber coating on the wires I had that happen on my impala
Thank you for this video. I dont know if you did a video about fog light replacement or not, I will check. But I have a question: I noticed something when you tested the high beam and low beam (3:20), at low beam I can see a yellow light but when you switched to high beam the yellow light disappear, where this yellow light comes from?
Some of these LED bulbs (I am finding) do not pull enough electrical and the system thinks that a bulb is out. On this particular brand I did not get this headlight out message.
Did exactly lights up great. But keep getting check headlight warning. Warning comes on, on the dash but the lights still working. Now the beeping driving me crazy
The lights will need a ballast or CAN bus decoder otherwise the LEDs low power consumption will cause a warning light on dash. Halogens use more power than LEDs. Without a CAN bus decoder the vehicle will think the light is out.

Great video! I tried changing to LEDs for my 2019 Sportage but I’m getting error codes. Did you get this too? If so how did you bypass? Thanks
I had this happen too on another set of LED bulbs. I returned them for a different set and now they are fine.
The reason you get the flickering on video is because LED has a fast cycling rate that is different than the frame rate of video. Good video
Thanks for watching

These bulbs were a huge improvement over the stock ones.

If the bulb doesn't illuminate you may have to flip the connector around.
that's what I did and it worked:) Many thanks!@@HomeOwnerRepair
This was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for the help
Glad I could help!
Thank you sir! Today i will change mine, one side has been dead for 2 months now, it's time for the LEDs. Greeting from Paraguay
Thank you for watching our auto repair video that shows you how to change the headlight bulb on a KIA Sportage.
Great video. Ty . We just got my wife a 2015 Kia Sportage and we love the car
Thanks for watching! Don't forget to subscribe!
The biggest issue is not changing the bulb but the dustcap not fitting bc led lights have a larger heat sink in the back.
Thanks for watching
You can get flush mount ones like the old ones, I had to get them for my 2006 gmc because it WILL NOT FIT without cutting unless you get a flush mount
Just bought these.. I’ll be sure to update how these hold up
How are you making out with the new lights?
Thank you so much! 😊
You're welcome 😊
Is it safe to re install the cover? Since the led lights produce heat and they have like a fan installed in the back?
Yeah it should be.
Hey man very easy and simple explanation. How about 2014 Sportage. Can I use the same reference???
It might be the same or a similar process. I haven't upgraded them on that particular year yet.

Mine has been okay. I have the covers on..yes it's tight.
Any video on how to install the high beam bulbs!?
Not yet
Did you experience any issue of the overheating since the fan is working in a tightly sealed area where the hot air has no where to go !
No I haven't had any issues with them at all.
What about the daytime running light
I need to change it to be led instead of halogen

I have not had this issue with LED headlight bulbs on my 2018 KIA Sportage.
You probably have a bad ground, high resistance
I got some in my cart for my 07 colbalt
These have been working well. They are way better than the stock halogen bulbs.
You have placed the cover back on and led has a fan. How will it cool down with cover on?
It hasn't been an issue. It has been fine!

I haven;t changed the fog lights on my KIA Sportage to LED yet that is probably why you are seeing a yellow light.
@@HomeOwnerRepair Ok thanks, try to change them to LED, huge difference ;)
Sooo the HEADLIGHTS are the lights closest to the fenders correct? Not to the center of the vehicle?
Yes
Any headlight out message?

Switching to LED does it void any the warranty?
Not 100% sure, you may want to check with KIA on this.
Boslla bulb light up your way~~~Enjoy it!
Your bulbs work great! I can see a lot better now at night!
Thx,needed that!
Thank you for watching! I’m really happy to know that my content resonated with you. Your support means a lot!
Will the same LED bulbs work on a 2020 Kia Sportage?
I would double check but they should be the same.
Any issues with warning ⚠️ lights on dash about headlight being out?
Yep my warning ⚠ is on the dash blinking
Same! How do you turn it off? Or are these bulbs not meant for this car?
@@kikamedina2320 You need to buy a resistor/decoder that plugs in between the power cable and the headlight.
Mine was fine...weird some come on and others do not.
Is this the same for 2011 ? Or is there a difference way?
It may be the same size. Not 100% sure.
Thanks very helpful 👍
Glad it helped
Short n sweet!

That's weird mine were fine. Wonder if the factory has to reset something in the computer.
So I upgraded to led lights and on dashboard keeps telling me to check head lights do I need to reset something??
You shouldn't have to. Mine were plug and play. They just worked.
Is it 55 watts?
It may be
Thank u

@@HomeOwnerRepair Unfortunately mine was not and had light bulb out indicator for 2020 Kia Sportage LX AWD.
@Ryan Ploeger same with mine 2021 kia sportage
Not a lot of people clean their engines
They should
Why???
A lot brighter that stock bulbs on these cars
