MK64 was my first Mario Kart game but I've kept playing it with my brother into the modern era and it's still _so_ much fun. Very competitive too. I love Mario Kart 8 and Double Dash, don't get me wrong, but MK64 will always be the best imo.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best Mario Kart. 48 tracks, a bunch of characters (some of whom aren't clones), several fun battle modes, new and innovative anti-grav for insane tracks, it's just ... really good! 64 is a CLOSE 2nd, bolstered by scope for the time and crazy WR strats, but I just don't see it as better than 8DX. TFH actually has a long history TFH used to be a game known as fighting is magic, which is where we get all the stuff from salty bet for ponies. Most of their move set is ripped from that in SaltyBet and Mugen. Fighting is magic actually got a cease and desist from hasbro originally and was forced to shut down production, however Lauren saw the project snd was very interested in it and saw the passion the community had and helped design, grab voice actors, snd help gather more people to work on the game. The game was actually scheduled for Evo 2021 before the world went nuts. And it actually has a very developed scene too.

Honestly I'm glad MK64 is getting some love. It was my first mario kart game and I have so much love for it. Best mario kart though? That's a really tough question to answer. 7 is honestly criminally underrated and with a better roster (and if it weren't on the 3ds) it honestly probably would be my number one. Double dash is also great if a little overrated and mario kart 8 is still to this day fantastic. It's really hard to decide personally they all have so many different things going for them.

Coney I'm 31 and played the shit out of Mario Kart 64 but I couldn't disagree more dude. Double Dash is sooo much better. The controls are so so improved and having a teammate makes it very strategic and deep. Also I feel like its maps blow 64s out of the water.
Super Mario Bros 3 is such a solid game. While World might be fun and accessible with an active romhacking scene, 3 just holds up on it's own so much better.
