One thing I totally forgot to mention in the video: another good pick option is a leather pick (if your goal is just to strum and for whatever reason you can’t strum with your finger). Some people like them better than the felt picks I mentioned. I’ve never used one but have heard good things
Ok but I read that using plastic picks shred the nylon strings. A felt pick is the best alternative. I sometimes use just my fingers but a felt pick for strumming. 👍☮️🌞🎵🩵
I’ve always heard people ominously warn that, but I’ve never had any strings wear down from using a pick. Granted, I’m not using a pick on my strings that often (I probably only do it 10% of the time or so, mostly just to play a fast melody line) but I have never noticed even a tiny bit of the string wearing down from a pick! 👍

My ukulele came with a thin pick. It broke. Hehehe. I have some leather and wood. Will make picks from both materials
