That's awesome, I worked with someone who worked on the Tu-204 as a flight engineer in the times of the Soviet union, he said he flew in one of these Migs, years ago and it was awesome as he described it.
What a beautiful video. This brings back memories from early 2000s. Our airforce in Sri lanka operated a single MiG-23UB as a conversion trainer for the MiG-27s. She used to fly many training sorties over our house, even at night during the height of the war. Sometimes they flew this swing wing beauty real low with full afterburner. What a sight that was. Great, I'm very happy that this beauty with an amazing sound was able to return to the sky! I remember very fondly how they flew over my head! Yes, this MiG-23U served in the Czech Air Force, formerly the Czechoslovak Air Force. He served from 1982 at the Czech bases in Czech Budějovice and Čáslav. It was decommissioned in 1998 and on January 24, 2004 it headed to California, where it seems it is still flying today. Could you please do a tour of Europe and show this cuddly old place, I'd love to come and see again :-) Anyway, good luck keeping it in the air for as long as possible, I'm looking forward to more videos at least! This is the UB trainer variant with the R-27 engine. The single seat M variant with the R-29-300 engine has more thrust dry than the trainer with the afterburner on.
Wow, so definitely a lot more powerful.
@@DelsquarePhotovideo Oh, yes. MiG-23 UB: 76.4KN with afterburner, MiG-23 ML: 83.6 KN dry, 127 KN with afterburner.
@@DrittAdrAtta big difference 😳
Here after the crash, are there any more of these displaying in the world?
Unfortunately I don't think there are any flying for aerial displays anymore, but I think the owner of this one has another one almost ready to fly.
@@DelsquarePhotovideo that’s something at least
Mig 23 is no more ... crashed today at the Michigan 2023 Air Show (Aug 13th, 2023) ... no injuries ...
Happy that no one got injured or died.
@@DelsquarePhotovideo Could have been really bad ... I use to live at that apartment complex ... ☠💀☠
@@wapperjaw8282 wow, that's definitely a story to tell. 😱
Beautiful plane indeed!
Awesome!
Thank you ✌️🤙
@@DelsquarePhotovideo You're welcome, my friend!
The Crocodile! This was one of my favorite planes as a kid. It was just cool looking. I read that the intake inlet design was taken from the F-4!
Both F4 and Mig23 intakes definitely look similar
@@DelsquarePhotovideo However, they are not the same, which is a common and silly misconception spread on the Internet.
@@DrittAdrAtta Clearly not the same but they are indeed of a similar design. Which is why I replied "they look similar".
I just saw this mig-23 just a few weeks ago at Oshkosh not even 20 feet away from me while taxiing. It will be missed.
8107 will definitely be missed. I was hoping to see it again soon but the unfortunate happened.
😎🍻 mig's are very nice plane especially the older ones Jim Kansas City
I hear at least the MiG-23 was not so reliable.
Great video.
Will you be returning to NAS JRB Fort Worth to film more F-35s and F-16s soon? It's my favorite airport, I am going to spot there soon and I want to know what they're sending up lately.
Thanks very much. I will come back to Ft. Worth JRB soon, I just haven't been able to go lately due to work.
@@DelsquarePhotovideo I understand, thanks for the info. I'll turn notifications on here. 🤝
@@SHINR__ Awesome, let me know if you visit the base, may be we could meet up!
For the first time I saw MiG-23 in 1969 at "Vladimirovka" SU airforce test base, as well as MiG-25
I've never seen a Mig25 before
@@DelsquarePhotovideo Both MiGs were so fantastic and impressive in comparison with Mig-21 that I piloted those years
@@Vide-in-Radix the mig-21 cockpit is very small
@@DelsquarePhotovideo typical cockpit size for the 1st-2nd generation jet fighters. Impossible to put the girlfriend on lap :)

what a beauty
Espectacular
Gracias por ver el video ✌️🤙
rest in peace 8107 i can only hope flier will still want to get his other mig23 airworthy
Fingers crossed , I really hope and have a good feeling they will have the other one up in the air soon.
Everyone see the F-35 pilot drooling as he was sitting on his aircraft whilst the Mig-23 taxied? ;D
Great video thank you. What cam are you using ? Stabilization or Gimbal also ? thank you
Thank you for watching. I use a Sony RX10IV, the video has been slightly stabilized in post to reduce unwanted vibrations.
He deployed the chute during a/c still in the air 👏🏻
Yes, looks like it bounced and deployed the shute before it touched down again. Good eye 👌
@@DelsquarePhotovideo Both chutes, which are each a part of both seats, automatically deploy upon ejecting, regardless of who initiates the ejection.
Beautiful plane indeed.
Loss of an iconic plane,
Am glad pilots are safe
Area of Willow Run produced bombers there in WWll
Yep lost the plane but didn't loose any lives, that's the great thing. They have another mig23 almost in airworthy conditions, I'm sure we'll see them back in the air in no time.
We have în România, Timișoara ( Giarmata) Air Base ..93 Squadron ..MIG'23...Variabile Geometry...Strong Jet-Fighter0😊😊
GREAT VID. TOO BAD IT IS GONE...THANKFULLY NO ONE INJURED...
Thanks very much. Lost the plane but more importantly no lifes were lost.
No matter what anyone says, but only a technological superpower could build such an aircraft.
It just crashed today.
Beautiful Video. Beautiful Aircraft. Beautiful tragedy
Just lost the plane, no life lost.
flogger is an amazing plane
That was the first time I saw one flying!
Well hopefully he will be able to get his other airframes air worthy.
I'm sure we'll see them back in the air in no time.
Floggers (23&27) are unforgivable beast despite so many criticism it have won two civil wars (Srilanka and Syria)
It's a killing machine
Mach 2+ is definitely fast!
Of course it's nice to see these jets flying, especially ones we don't usually see in the US
Nice looking jet
Its a very aesthetically pleasing aircraft. Some of the prototypes were in aluminium silver. Imagine how amazing that would look!
Oh that would be awesome!
This is a very understated fighter cause it comppared to F-14 Tomcat at Lybian clash. It is a very capable platform.
It's direct comparison is the F-4 Phantom, but physically often compared to the F-111.
Never cared for the flogger but it is a good looking aircraft.....im into it now
This is the first and only time I saw one flying!
I like its so powerful
Definitely a surprise for me that day, never thought I'd see one flying.
