This might seem kinda silly, but thank you matt for talking about being on anxiety medication. I've been on meds for depression/anxiety for about 3 years, and ADHD for less than 1, and even though I know it's something I need and it helps me to function, I still get self-conscious about it. I really look up to you guys, and appriciate your content, and it really helps me feel more confident and less shameful about needing some many pills each morning. Thank you for all you do, and for helping me feel a lil less alone
I really hope more people start feeling the same way. I can't be on any kind of medication for any of that stuff at the moment, and a large part of that is because I was too self-conscious back when I had the ability to get them prescribed. I've got quite a few other pills and medications I rely on and will probably be on for the rest of my life, though. You absolutely aren't alone, and there's nothing shameful about wanting to rise above your illnesses.
Yeah it’s nice to hear somebody like Matt or Ryan talk about that kind of stuff. I take medication for Anxiety and Depression as well, and I really don’t like to tell anybody about it due to the social stigma

I know they've already said they just do the podcast just sitting on a couch, but in my mind I like to think they're sitting at a table just like this, with all the things on and around it. And the Earthbound cartridge has a completed file with all characters at level 99, with characters named Matt, Ryan, Tucker, and Justin, with the dog's name as Lego and with favorite food as Cigarettes.

Talking about the lottery, my grandma is 76 and has been playing the lottery since she was 18. She had won $1,000 or so a couple times in her life. It took her until she was 73 to win $5mil (because of taxes she only got $1.75mil). Even when you win big, you don't win that big. Its fun to do $1-$5 every now and again but she was buying $20+ every time. So much money was lost.

Is the Alien Sleep Paralysis experience common? I've personally had almost the same experience as Matt and I've heard of others having a similar experience. I had my first night of SP after watching an alien doc hosted by William Shatner on Syfy.

As for the pokemon bit, there's Shelmet, Shellgon, Shellos, Shelder, and Shieldon. If it's a turtle like pokemon it coulda been torkoal, tirtouga, shuckle, or carracosta. Matt said it was the lava area so it coulda been torkoal or slugma. There's also torunator in sun and moon but don't think it's that
The way he described the pokemon "yellow and red" it was definitely shuckle and he got the name mixed up because tons of pokemon have names that resemble sheldon.
In Pokemon Silver you get a Shuckle named Sheldon
I think its the WAY they promoted the boxes (as a way to make profit etc)
