    My mum has been reading it every day since 1989 and was in tears with me in Medjegorje last month after hearing Fr Leon talk about it beautifully, mentioning that Our Lady is reported to have referred to it as the truth, in one of the reported apparitions there.
    She has spent more than my lifetime encouraging people to read it and been ignored or mocked throughout that time. It was a great moment of joy, relief and reassurance for her. God Bless brother.

    Robert, I’m currently re-reading my copy of “The End Times” as revealed to Maria Valtorta (by the Paulines). Years ago I read the 5 volume set of the Poem of the Man God. I loved it and only stopped reading the very end when a Catholic friend discouraged me. Since watching you I have been reunited to my love of this reading. The smaller book about the end times is heart breaking. Please keep up your good work. Your friend in Iowa, USA - Mary

    Robert thank you for reading that piece from the Poem of the Man God between Jesus and Judas. Satan the deceivers biggest deception is that he does not exist! And unfortunately many fall into the trap of believing this. My mother gave me the 5 volumes of Poem of the Man God about 20yrs ago which I've never read. You have enkindled the desire in me to dust them off and read them. God Bless your work 🙏

    Thank you for this presentation and the highlighting of the writings of Maria Valtorta. I was introduced to her when reading the word seemed so overwhelming and I must say that I fell in Love. You as an academic are able to bring to the table points that I cannot, what I can say is that although difficult to accept, it has shaped my life, my mind, my all, it is hard to describe. Thank you again for presenting this work, I know it is undervalued and one day we will know. Great works have been hidden on purpose because of how many souls They would bring back. He knew we would hunger and He gave us nourishment for this time.

      We have all been blessed with the gift of free will. So we can pray that people will decide to choose God even in the moment of death no matter how hardened a sinner they are. What a gift you can give someone is to pray for their soul that God's grace will touch them to choose Him. If you find it hard to pray for sinners just think they will thank you when you and them get to heaven. We will all be saints when we reach Heaven. Your prayer might be the only prayer that person ever receives to help get them to heaven. Powerful🎉

    Hell exists and it is not empty.
    Belief in a non empty Hell is not a requirement for being cast therein. This is part of the Perennial Binding Public Revelation of the Church.
    The Roman Catechism of St. Pius V, draws heavily on St. Matthew's account of the last judgement in Chapter 25 of his Gospel, verse 31 on.
    The Holy Father has undermined the Dogmatic teaching of the Church on Hell by his words on a live broadcast. It is an egregious misuse of the Petrine Office.
    Let us pray for him.

    Yes, these are important issues to call out, but once we know the dire situation we're in - and we DEFINITELY are - we must get on our knees, trust in Our Lord and Our Lady, and NOT despair. If there is one thing that the devil wants second to apostasy, it is for those of us trying to remain faithful to fall into despair. Do NOT despair, pray and trust in the Two Hearts. Jesus, I Trust in You!

    Thank you, Robert! Many good and important points here, and I very much look fwd to reading Maria Valtorta. We are there: our Most Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church has a cancer within it that is causing some "practicing Catholics" to become entirely non-Catholic. And the saddest part is that they don't even know it. It is up to us to pray and offer sacrifices for these souls and for the Church - She will be fine, but we need as many souls as possible to follow Our Lord...even as we seem to be well on our way to Our Church's own crucifixion, death and resurrection. God bless, Ave Maria.

    It was the commandment of Pope Pius XII to publish the work as is when asked if they should remove the words "vision and dictations", he answered no, as the contents were deemed very good to his judgement, with no need for opinion on the supernatural origin, because we will understand. Also, Pope Leo X stated at the 5th Lateran Council, "when there is a question of pophetic revelations, the Pope is the sole judge.”

    • @AvaD8187
      @AvaD8187 20 дней назад +1

      Unfortunately every sin is a rebellion against God and we all need to properly form our conscience as we are all inclined to sin as a direct consequence of our first parents sin. The importance of repentance in the sacrament of confession is not emphasised enough that it brings us back in line with the Lord. Judas was proud and unrepentant. St.Peter gives us great hope - all the times he denied Jesus or came out with statements where Jesus had to rebuke him but Peter wasn't proud in these moments and accepted he was wrong. Our God is so forgiving when we turn to Him in humble sorrow and if we fall due to our human weakness we can turn to Him for forgiveness in the sacrament of confession again and again and again. ❤

    Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger then in the Congregation for doctrine and faith said the books had no supernatural origin and were simply a story. There are plenty of solid orthodox spiritual books and lives of Christ and the saints you could read instead. The four Gospels have enough spiritual wealth for any believer.

    • @thecatholicman
      @thecatholicman  20 дней назад +4

      No such Notification has ever been issued by the postconciliar CDF regarding The Poem of the Man-God. I've yet to see any proof the Cardinal Ratzinger did or didn't support the work. But as head of the CDF he certainly didn't use the office to condemn or prohibit the work. But I back your comment "The four Gospels have enough spiritual wealth for any believer." that is 100% correct. my Thesis as I said is that many today don't believe sacred scripture or the miracles..

    • @colmoneill191
      @colmoneill191 20 дней назад +2

      In his own writings he dismisses it as "a story" with no supernatural basis. Most of those who find it so useful no doubt imagine it is of divine origin of some sort . Ratzinger delivered a rather underwhelming verdict. He as CDF chief and a major theologian in his own right, more than anyone else, had a birds eye view of authentic christology and various all too often dubious revelations.

      We would all hope I'd imagine that hell is empty but realistically some people choose to be devoid of God in life and in eternity. Being in a state of mortal sin is instant cut off from God. I think that statement from the Pope tho being of good sentiment was a missed opportunity for him to go further and teach of the reality of hell and how sin can lead us there but repentance can bring us back in unity with God by His grace.

  • @christopherfleming7505

    Thinking of an empty hell is a "pleasure", for the same reason that calvinists think that they can never lose their salvation. Both ways of thinking mean that the way we live has no eternal consequences. The problem is that they are lies. Better to believe an uncomfortable truth than a pleasant lie.

    I was wondering if someone can make a video explaining why 10 commandments from the Bible don't match 10 commandments from the Cathehism of the Catholic Church. Why was the 2nd commencement removed and the 9th was split in two?

    • @christopherfleming7505
      @christopherfleming7505 16 дней назад

      Nothing was removed. All the commandments are in the catechism. It's simply a question of numbering the commandments. There are actually more than 10 do's and don'ts, but Scripture tells us there are 10. The Church decided to separate coveting things from coveting another man's wife, which involves a very different sin.
      Catholic Answers did an article on this. Look it up, they explain it better than I can.

I read volume 1 as provided and was hooked, I bought all the volumes and was consistently reading them continually for well over 10 years. The books are beautiful and full of God's Love, and Mercy but also enlightened parts of the New Testament that had confused me. I guess you would say I am a Conservative Catholic at least I believe in the Catechism and following the Magisterium of the Church. The stories explaining the meetings between Jesus and Mary Magdelaine and his gently bringing her to repentance are particularly insightful and also beautiful. God's love is truely unfathomable.
