I love this video! This was so necessary, Daria. So many women I know go up and down with their size for several reasons, but don't know how to adjust their wardrobe. Instead they have stacks of clothes for every phase.
Wow what timing. I am handmaking my wardrobe and have lost 50lbs in the last 4 months and have up to another 50 to lose so I am trying to create my new garments as needed with some room for future loss. Thanks so much!
Fantastic, as always. I have to lose weight--for health reasons--and while attachment to the clothes I adore will certainly NOT dissuade me from doing so, if I have to be honest, sometimes I find myself looking at my closet and thinking..."Oh no! So much effort, time, and money I invested in building this collection!" I know, I know, my health is first. And I know I should be excited to have this opportunity to update my wardrobe. But it's not always easy to part with things one loves, or to buy lots of quality pieces at once. I'm looking at it as a new type of investment: ME--and my chance to have a longer, more productive life. I will be searching for lots of second-hand clothing and purchasing very judiciously (not too many items, not too many colors...) I'll keep your tips in mind as I look for pieces that are more easily altered. Thank you for this thoughtful topic. You are a gem!
I've felt exactly the same way. I've already sized out of a few of my favorites and it made me sad to give them up. Still. Our health is more important!
Perfection Daria! I struggled so much when gaining weight and finding new pieces for my new figure. I had to re-evaluate my wardrobe and part with pieces that no longer served my new body type. I sold those pieces, gave them to second-hand shops or recycled them. Then i shopped for things in my new size in a sustainable way and now have great capsules that flatter my body type instead of fight against it. Once I was dressing right for my body I have felt the most confident I have felt while getting dressed because everything fits me!
These outfit vids are always so useful!!! Although I'm lost when it comes to shoes in general~ Would love to see a wonder wardrobe approach to selecting and buying shoes.
Great advice. I am in the middle of my weight loss and I've been able to recycle/tailor my tops as I shrink. So I have been able to go down 4 sizes before they really aren't able to be fitted to me, saving a lot of money. My pants as well were elastic and had some stretch so again, I lost 3 sizes before they are just too loose to adjust any further. I love your channel and just adore all the incredible tips and collections you show. Love from Canada!
Daria! This is one of my favourites WW!!! What a wonderful colour palette! How you mix them, your proposal.... the style.... I like it so much!! I am not loosing weight but it is the most inspiring combination you have showed me! Loooove it!! I will use this for my next wardrobe change. Kisses, Küsse, Besos.....
Daria, what would it be for women putting on weight? being pregnant? from the first 2-3 months to the 9 months? and then that can be used to post-pregnancy?
This was really helpful. I and in the process of loosing wight. And I am on my second set of clothes now have lost 30 kg. I have found that it's really inexpensive to buy second hand. I got a pair of jeans for a round 2 euro. And they were really nice. And I have found a place where you can leave things that you no longer use and take things you need I found shorts and white jeans. Thanks Daria for your videos.
Thanks so much 🙏🏼. I’m in the opposite situation, after 2 pregnancies and still breastfeeding one of my children I have gone from one extreme to the other. I would like to recover my usual weight, I’m too thin at the moment so just trying to buy as little as possible, visiting the tailor every now and then and what I buy must be flexible on size. Otherwise I prefer to wait before I make any investment. Thanks again. I’m learning so much from you 💖
Yes, in your case it’s better to wait a little until you get to your comfortable shape. It’s a little easier when you are losing weight, because you can make almost everything 2-3 sizes smaller at a tailor.
OMG!! 1th Capsule that's helpful+colorful! "fitting" tip, also works wt. gaining wait 😂 or jojo - situations!!👍 Done some tips already naturaly. :D But it's nice to have a strict buying-code & remember your no-go's, as a shopping stopper.👌👌 Also ADORE!! your combos, not the usual 50 shade of neutral/black. 👌 I an so glad I found you.😍😍😍👍👍
What a wonderful video!!! Thank you for addressing this topic. I have lost quite a bit of weight and am struggling to adjust my wardrobe now and as I continue in the future. I hope to sew a few pieces from my fabric stash. So, your visuals were very helpful to provide wonderful ideas. Thank you very much!
I bought two fancy waistbelts for tops that are now oversized to make them look intentionally oversized. I did not know there are wraparound pants. I have been buying smaller sized jeans and then swapping them at clothes swap events (you bring 5 items, you can take 5 items, leftover items get donated).
Amazing video, I've lost a lot of weight and I'm struggling A LOT with the pants... They look awful on me... I'm going to take them to a tailor and fix them... So I can use them later... Hopefully they will fit me well.
I am 7 months postpartum and soon to go back to work and stressing about my wardrobe update and how to adjust. This was a much needed video, thank you immensely!
I just have a baby, so it really on point topic for me. I try to borrow clothes from friends and family since I don't want to buy clothes for a short time, and don't want to make it permanent either (: I bought during pregnancy a warped dress, but it's too big now, maybe I should tailor it! Thanks
Fantastic video as always!! Would love to know about this white skirt you use--how would you call it? Midi? Circle? I'm always looking for high-waisted skirts with length but not too much volume!! Thank you!
Can you do a video for people with no defined waist and straight hips? My waist is actually a couple of inches wider than my hips but I find that most women’s clothing cinches at the “waist.” My only option is to buy loose fitting tops but then it makes me look even wider. I have tried using a belt at the waist but then I look lumpy since I can’t tighten the belt very much. Any tips?
Solange I think that you could use this video as well because here she explains from big size to small size, but vice versa is the same. adjustable items! (Well except for tailored pants and skirt)
It depends on how much weight you need to gain. If it’s just 2-5 kg, you can try to these kind of adjustable elastic waistbands, kimonos, wrap arounds. I’d say definitely stay away from anything too tight, fitted cuts and waistlines. It’s much easier to make clothes 2-3 sizes smaller, than to make them bigger.
This was perfect timing as I have lost over 30 pounds and have another 20 to go. Thank you!
I love this video! This was so necessary, Daria. So many women I know go up and down with their size for several reasons, but don't know how to adjust their wardrobe. Instead they have stacks of clothes for every phase.
So very true. Sometimes we have separate wardrobes for each size.
Subscribed. This is by far the most thoughful practical video on a predicamet that not many seem to talk about. I m very impressed.

Thanks for sharing Anna! I agree buying second hand is much cheaper and it’s so cool that you are able to exchange your clothes this way.
I love this capsule, especially the colours!
Makes perfect sense. Need this as I wan to reduce my wardrobe as I reduce my size.
So happy to hear it was useful! Good luck with your plans! 💪

I invested in 3 lovely belts that I used to cinch in my waist as I lost weight and donated very large clothes to my local charity shop xx
Great video.
Would you please make a video on outfits for petite girls or x small ones?
I already did: Petite body type: shopping tips and capsule wardrobe example. ruclips.net/video/I_2C9mgw0hs/видео.html
@@wonderwardrobe Thanks a million

Where did you find the colourblock sweater? It’s gorgeous

lironhart Yes! If it's for a limited time weight change, borrowing clothes is a great option! Thanks for sharing 🌻
Thanks for sharing! I think you should definitely try to tailor it ;)
Great video!!!!
Fantastic video as always!! Would love to know about this white skirt you use--how would you call it? Midi? Circle? I'm always looking for high-waisted skirts with length but not too much volume!! Thank you!
Yes, I think we can call it a circle midi skirt. It’s very beautiful.
Much appreciated video
Yeah, new video. :)
Will this style work with Curvy women like me . I love your work Daria . I am currently 155 lbs and still have around 15lbs to lose. I am 5 ft 3" .
Yes I think it will work well for curvy hourglass, pear and even apple body types.

Yes, I am planning on making a video for your kind of body type.

Thanks a lot! I would love to add the culottes in this wardrobe
Daria you're leaving out pregnant women!!!! Please do a maternity capsule wardrobe that will work for breastfeeding as well. I feel stuck in a rut
