I saw Anoushka play a show in Conway, Arkansas back in ‘05 or ‘06 with my best friend and his parents while we were still in high school. He died a few years ago, but that experience I shared with him seeing that show was one of the most impactful and transcendent experiences of my life. He took up playing the sitar because of the inspiration he gained from seeing Anoushka and Ravi on “Concert for George”. We managed to get a picture with her that night and that is one of the most treasured photos I have to this day. Thank you, Anoushka, for the beauty you bring to this troubled and tumultuous world.
