Nobody can deny your fishing skills Elias, especially with that moustache. Snagged myself some of your jigheads and plastics to try out for flounder season this year in Topsail NC. Tight lines!
The top water Savant showing us bottom pounders how to get it done! Nice range of fish you got Elias, happy you could fill the cooler some! Thanks for the great vid
Cool video. Cant wait till the 18th of this month. I'm gonna be out in your area for a week. Planning to fish the area known as the Basin around Fort Fisher. I'm hoping to have half the luck you have out there.
I can only imagine how having a camera strapped to your head must suck, but I sure do miss seeing what you're looking at. I do enjoy the rear camera, too. I'll still watch whatever you decide to do!
Another great video Elias. Hey, I was doing some slow pitch jigging just yesterday nearshore off Clearwater FL. We had a lot of fun and the Jigging was more productive than I thought with the residual poor water clarity after Hurricane Idalia. I lost a few fish as they shredded the assist hooks. Where do you find the best value on the best quality replacement assist hooks? I was using some 80g and 40g jigs and the fish liked the 40g. The problem is the 40g have wimpy line on the hooks.
So much life in that area. In the spring there is a run of huge whiting there at the mouth. Probably not great video content, but it's a blast catching those big whiting two at a time.
I like to use a 3-5ft upward pull, and let it fall back to a tight line with micro jigs. Most of my best experience is with them in freshwater. Be sure to watch your line as it drops back down. If you see it stop before it goes tight, set the hook, as they often hit it quick as it flutters back down. Also, I guess it is how hard that some species strike at a slowpitch jig that I seem to get quite a few foul-hooked, or one in the mouth and the other stretched tightly hooked in the side. Especially with White and Yellow Bass.
@@EliasVFishing I'm sure you probably are already, but it helps to always use the lightest line/leader you think you can get away with, when slow-pitching more than about any other technique, even on lakes or still water, where the wind acts on your rig much the same way (boat moving instead of current) to create scope in your line.
@@EliasVFishing yeah I’m up in the Emerald Isle area and the flounder are THICK so I usually just spend my time on the water looking for belly crawlers and tailing reds
I never stop learning here. I gotta try jigging the current for pomps, I still do surf only, and we know how crowds go. I've got a Hawaiian recipe ready to go for the next pomp.
@@EliasVFishing oh no need to try surf jigging, I'll head out in the kayak. I'm always after sheeps, drum, and togs in the kayak, gotta remember to pack my goofy jigs, lol
Cooler weather is finally around the corner, overnight temps are slacking off. being over 100 every day in Louisiana has limited me to night fishing. is that something youve tried or is it riskier in the yak?
@@EliasVFishing that's a shame. I'd definitely watch a Les Stroud style night vision cam fishing adventure. those small form factor action cams have come a long way but low light performance is still very poor unfortunately.
Some places “snagging” (saltwater and freshwater) is considered illegal and I had no idea at the time. I used to keep fish that I foul hooked for that reason until a game officer had a chat with me.
sounds like my saturday nights
If I can't be fishing, I can at least watch Elias fish. Thanks for taking us with you.
"Just go jigging and see what you catch."- Elias Vaisberg The best advice ever. haha
The saga of the Stache continues! We need a limited edition Stache Elias swimshad asap.

Thank you!
84* water is tough, be glad when the water cools some. You got flounder season coming up soon!
Good stuff my dude , thanks for taking us along I enjoy it while eating lunch @ work here in Oklahoma ~

Hah! Topwater goog for sure!
Hopefully Idalia will stir up the some cooler water Elias. Stay safe.

Slow pitch jigging along bridges is my favorite. I gotta try it in deeper water.
Perfect jigging technique for the king salmon I’ll be targeting next week
Another great video Elias.

Take it easy in that heat. Nothing to be gained by overdoing the exercise. Stay hydrated.

Can you use those types of jigs off a peir?
I’ve had better luck with gotcha plugs personally.
Cool. I'll look them up over here in texas and try them out
Could you show us what you are looking for or seeing on your fish finder in the future?
Walkin’ the Dawg! I’d be sayin’ He’s a Bigun’ Everytime!😊
Yeah, throw some NY Bill Dance in there!
Awesome Pompano!
Interesting multi species morning! What knot do you prefer when tying your jig onto 20-30 lb floro?
Uni Knot
Love watching your videos and it amazes me how you identify so many different fish by the way they fight blows my mind. Tight lines
Time on water.
New name for the channel..Elias v jigging😂

I like that style a lot too. Current here made it tough to work those heavy motions without scoping out and missing lots of bites!

I’d be interested to see you fish some of the marshes and mud flats sometime. I know it’s not your usual stomping grounds but I’m sure you’d do well!
I do fish that stuff occasionally- with flounder being closed I rather reduce my “by-catch” if I can.
@@EliasVFishing yeah I’m up in the Emerald Isle area and the flounder are THICK so I usually just spend my time on the water looking for belly crawlers and tailing reds
Great Vedio...love this one..!
Love the videos man; down around the beaufort nc area, let me know if you’re ever fishing that area
Nice video...I was wondering if you ever use steel leaders?
For mackerel I sometimes do. But only when live bait fishing.
amazing day of fishing
That "please tell me I'm recording" glance when that first red smashed your topwater.
Haha probably so!
What difference does it make how the fish gets hooked ?
I love your videos but I believe you can see more of the action when you have your head cam on.
Thanks Elias
You always good!😁
Legend content 🎣💯☝️👌
Oh shit Elias that stache. You a fire fighter?? Lol
“Sometimes you get some random big ones up inside”… nice
You ever see much tarpon ?I’m surprised you never hook into any. There are supposedly in that area too

Yeah you’ll need to cover ground to jig pomps from the surf.

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. Plus pompano, but I don't have a rhyme for them.
i love to see you using 15lb again.. specially like b4 you using 15 lb on giant's black drum..
I’ve only watched 3 videos of yours so far, I am a new subscriber. What state are you in?
North Carolina
Heck yea. You gonna be going after some flounder the next few days?
After the rain water moves out I think I’ll try it.

I fished at night a lot years back. It just doesn’t translate to good videos, which unfortunately pay the bills.

That stache is gonna catch all them fish
YMCA. 'Your Mustache Catches All'😂
They still make those micro jigs. You just can't get them in the states. Major craft has a similar tear drop you can get in the states.
looks like that fist fish was missing tail??
mmmm… Pompano! Best-eating fish there is.
It is one of the best.
If you wet yourself down in 90s degree weather you should stay quite cool.
use a hook remover and keep your hands clean and the fish you release have a better chance of survival.
love the video as always but miss the head cam
Got it - will go back to that soon
C'mon, Fall!
Is it just me or do others hate the sound of braid. Constant noise gets on my nerves on a long day of casting. I’ll stick with mono for casting
That mustache is taking to much space on the Kayak
I'm curious why you don't keep foul hooked fish. I would thing that their chances of survival are less than a mouth hooked fish.
Some places “snagging” (saltwater and freshwater) is considered illegal and I had no idea at the time. I used to keep fish that I foul hooked for that reason until a game officer had a chat with me.
Not a fan of the new camera setup.
Good to know. I’ll go back to the old one.
