I caught a few silvers and kings off that pier. I used the lime green bozz bom lure for the silvers and white or lime green candlefish by point wilson for the kings. For crabbing though, I would go to everett pier and I would used turkey leg. Nice video.
Crabbing was bad this year i think too many people were there because of Covid. I havent tried Salmon fishing here but hopefully next year and use the same color you used. Thank you.
great video didn't think you needed a fishing license if on a pier,,,,,ca fishing reg, you don't but you had crab net ... moving to ocean park this summer!!! can't wait to surf fish
Yep in Wa State you pretty much need a licence for everything. Even pier fishing. Make sure ypu follow the rules and regulatioms that changes 4 times a year LOL. Good luck!!!
Yeah I am trying different kind of lures just to see which one works. The green rubber worm worked on my 2nd video at that same pier. It was a good 8 inch rock fish but i had to put it back. Not a single bit on all different baits I used for this day.
Unfortunately you cant keep or try to fish for rock fish on the whole Puget sound. You will need to go to the coastline. Neah bay is allowed but on limited time of the year.
Hey Jp the rules actually changed on some of the fishes where u can use barb hooks now. Washington is weird on these and has so many rules. Check out the 2020 rules for fishing just in case. I always clipped my hooks just in case.
@@noobfisherman1626you cannot use barbs on any fish except "forage fish" those are ( herring, smelt, anchovy and sardines. That's how it's always been since they made it barbless.

You need a license no matter what unless a juvenile fisherman.
Love your hat! Glad to discover a local fisherman!
Thank you. Funny story i spent $25 for it while in cali in some tourist town then found it only cost $6 in the next town. Lol
You just got yourself a new subscriber here.
Thank you for the support!
Did you use that soft plastic to fish for rockfish? And around what time of year
did you film this? Thanks!

Why did they need you to pull up your fishing pole? Are you not allow to use certain bait?
They want to make sure you have barbless hooks and only fishing for fish that sre allowed to catch.
You think we can fishing for Rockfish right there. ??

@@noobfisherman1626 okay thanks for letting me know.
I love it when they show up to check. Make the state some money off the dummies.
Did you mean “no barb hooks”?

It's best not to fish for a closed species if you can help it.
Thank you for the feedback. Still learning the rules since WA state has so many regulations in regards to fishing.
No fishing for rockfish
You broke your rod because you didn't know how to break off a snag. Game wardens are not "rangers".
Why do you Sir him, he didn’t call you sir. The guy technically works for you. You pay his salary.
Just addressing him properly as Sir. Kinda like Mr.
Respect given is respect earned young boy
I tell all law enforcement I don't answer any questions and only show my license.
