well said-intuitive eating isn’t JUST listening to your temptations/cravings before you eat, but also listening to how your body feels after you eat and considering that in the future💕

Hi!! I’m from Gilbert and I go to a natural hormone doctor and he’s AMAZING! I love your content and usually don’t comment, but this vlog resonated with ya girl because of the chin acne 🤪 curology and cutting dairy periodically during flares (~2 months) really helps me (dairy can cause inflammation which isn’t great for acne). Shout out to all the chin acne girlies 🤍

I've always had acne on my lower face and particularly my chin!! It is hormonal 100%. Every time I am on my period or have a stressful day even, I have a new one! Birth control helped me a ton to clear it up, but wherever you are on your fertility journey may be affecting it the most!! Teas and lots of water usually help clear it from the inside out, but topically I use adapalene gel and that helps also :) Sending love!

I had super persistent hormonal acne (mostly on my chin and cheeks), and spironolactone completely cleared my skin. I've learned that if you're already doing everything else "right" by eating well, keeping up with a good skincare routine, etc. there's clearly something more going on. Definitely talk to your doctor or dermatologist if it's bothering you.

34:34 I also only get cystic acne on my chin and nowhere else, ever. The only thing that has worked for me is spironolactone + topical salicylic acid. I’ve tried pretty much everything (the pill, every topical treatment, no sugar, no dairy, no gluten). Definitely ask your derm or GP about it if you’re not opposed to a prescription option.

I can relate to your break out issues! If I even eat one bite of chocolate my face breaks out 😭 And if I go all out and eat a piece of cake or a milkshake then I’m really screwed 🥲 But it’s impossible for me to completely cut out all treats so I’ve just made piece with it … good luck girl !!

I also always break out on my chin! It's ALWAYS around my mouth. I started cutting out processed foods and sugars as much as I can (I'm not perfect by any means) and it has helped! I also started using The Ordinary Niacinamide 10 Zinc 1 every night on the problem area and I think it has helped a TON!

I highly recommend doing a food sensitivity test! Sometimes we have random sensitivities (like for me mine were chicken, garlic, gluten, rye, curry) I have tried cutting those things out of my diet and it has helped my skin, energy, and even my period symptoms (I hardly ever get cramps) also you can change up your skincare routine with your cycle since our hormones are fluctuating our skin has different needs during each phase

For hormonal acne I saw improvement cutting out diary. It’s also not necessarily a hormonal imbalance but any hormone changes can cause it, like different times of the month even. It might not show up in lab testing as an imbalance.

Hormonal acne is any breakout that is on the lower half of the face and a tell tale sign is that it hurts when you touch it. It’s often caused by excess androgens/estrogen that your body/liver is having a hard time clearing out. I was on spirolactone for 6 years and it helped, but solved the issue at it’s root. I would recommend spearmint tea (2-3x cups per day) and the raw carrot salad to help your body regulate and clear out the excess hormones.

Years ago I had chin acne really bad out of nowhere! Went from super clear to super crazy and no matter how many derms I went to no one diagnosed me with anything or could tell me why. Then, one derm saw me and told me it could be pcos related and we did blood work and the ultrasound and sure enough it was pcos. I have high androgens so that was driving my acne. Not saying that’s what you have but maybe look into it? I know people with pcos have issues with fertility too, it’s more common at least. Its also very hard to find a doctor who has knowledge with pcos so doing your own research with reliable online sources will be useful. A lot of doctors overlook this diagnosis because it’s not widely known/taught about until recently. Anywho goodluck

I literally ever had acne on my chin, usually like 2-6 at a time (maybe 3 in my life not at my chin). Spironolactone and tretinoin helped like 80% but decided to do accutane and haven’t had a pimple since:) for me it was worth it lol but if not ask your derm about tretinonin and spironolactone it’s a super common combo for hormonal acne:)!!

For the chin acne, do you rest your face on your hand? like while editing, on your computer, watching tv, etc? I have the same problem and I have noticed that I hold my head up in my hand while working at my desk and so I try to not do that lol. Maybe this will help!

you should try taking a vitamin a supplement for your skin! it’s supposed to help. but if it’s a hormonal thing then that’s a whole nother story lol. it could also be excess estrogen and there’s foods you can eat that help cleanse that out!

I've also gotten acne almost exclusively on my chin for my whole life. Like other people have said, try spironolactone. It is a game changer!! It's the only thing that's ever really worked for me. It's hormonal so it's really helpful for controlling hormonal breakouts.
