Lately I noticed that something was wrong with my save folder, It got bloated pretty bad.
    My save folder was 1.38GB
My save folder now 765 Mb.
TravelDB had so much junk. And there were at least 5 same images, I deleted everything.
    Thank you so much!! 💮

Awesome! So glad it helped! This is what saved one of my longest biggest saves as well:) If you’re not already using regul save cleaner you can use it to maintain it now.

hello! i’ve followed everything you’ve said however none of my _IMG files have the safe group column values that you said to delete and is instead full of random textures etc. I’m very confused because my save file is 155MB and unable to delete any files despite never having cleaned this save before. the reason i’m trying to clean my saves is because i keep running into a “error 16” message everytime i try to save no matter which save file i try to use (even booting up a new game as a tester) despite having 16gb of ram and almost entirely free storage on my laptop (to add none of my save files are over 155MB) Is there any solution for this?

If you haven’t already, I would suggest optimizing your game as much as possible following this guide ruclips.net/video/njJ_01b3t1A/видео.htmlsi=47r1mHc2I00JRI9w skip what you’ve already done but def follow the chapter on increasing the games memory. Error 16 is because your save file is too large for the game to save, perhaps after optimizing, also make sure to have yr nraas mods setup right. I do offer another video on this as well. I would then try again and see if you can reduce the size. Let me know if this helps: Edit> also make sure to backup yr save file and on a safer note backup yr entire sims 3 doc file as well before anything.

@@KozyKubGam3r i don’t want to jinx anything but after following your other tutorial i’ve been able to save twice now with no issues so hoping it stays this way! thank you so much for your quick response and help in general, i’ve been trying so many other methods for the past 3 days and nothing has helped but you. i thought i lost my long term legacy save for good. thank you again!
EDIT: i can save like normal but now my game is randomly crashing! i created a new save and just saved my sims/moved them into the new world and everything runs smooth apart from its randomly crashing after a few minutes. did i do something wrong? the gameplay itself is fine, no lag or anything just random crashes :(

@@PrincessKyii I’m glad it worked out for the most part. Sometimes unfortunately a save will corrupt esp if it has a long history. Do you have any cc by chance? You could try delphys dashboard to see if any mods and/ or cc is conflicting. When my game has crashed like that it’s usually the case.

Hi. I don't know if you can help me with this, but I am having trouble restoring my saved games. I have saved my previous Sims 3 files in a Google Drive because I didn't want to lose my progress. I had just recently got a new PC, reinstalled the game and had replaced the files with my old ones. Everything else still shows up and works fine (including my mods and CC) but I can't play my saved files. It says "Cannot load this saved game. It may have been saved with expansion pack data that is no longer present on this system." I have tried two solutions I had found, the first one being to start a new game and replace the meta data file, and the second one being to delete the original saved folders and rename the backup folders to the originals. Both haven't worked.
I have seen that most people have this issue when backing up a game from a new world or due to an issue regarding the "World Adventures" pack, but I have not used any other worlds or have "World Adventures". I still have my EPs installed and enabled. Do you know how to fix this? Or do I have to start over my games?

Do you remember at all what EP’s you had when you created the old save? When this has happened to me it’s because I didn’t have the EP’s enabled in the launcher. Have you tried enabling every single one? Also did you originally save the save playing in a world you don’t have installed now?

@@KozyKubGam3r I have (and still do) Late Night, Pets, High End Loft Stuff, and University Life. I have enabled all of them in the launcher and I have only played in worlds corresponding to the packs I have.

@@rcspeedy8109 also if yr sims are individually backed up and they show in your bin library, you could start a new save with them at least for now until you hopefully find a solution. I’ve had to do this in unfortunate circumstances.

131 MBs is kind of big? Meanwhile my save literally having over 1GB.. Lmao

that’s great for you it’s not causing issues but for some people having saves that big or bigger can cause corrupt save files and lag in thier game, this is just one thing you can do that can help besides many other things

@@KozyKubGam3r It actually was causing issues, and now quite serious ones. I was too lazy to bother to clean my save files, but thanks to your tutorial to which I returned again and combined with some other ones, I reduced the file size by a whoppig 700 MB. That's really nice. Thank you for the tutorial.
