It doesn't, at least from my experience. But if the airline you are flying with is strict about the luggage size and has you put the luggage in one of those dimension cage, you wouldn't pass the test since the harness would be sticking out.
@@ea3611 the black one holds up really well. With the pink one, I have to be careful not to put it in the overhead bin or the conveyor belt at TSA or it will catch some stains.

I have it. Every time you put the luggage in the overhead lockers that gets dirty AF, every time you flip the luggage on the floor to open it, same.

They fit fine on international flights at least on the U.S. routes since they use large aircrafts and the overhead bins are large enough.
