bro i got sat tomorrow and they have a non calculator section and i completely forgot how to multiply like this because my teachers always let us use a calculator!! I havent multiplied like this since 7th grade lmaoooo

I forgot how to do this because I relied totally upon calculators. Practice your multiplication skills, or eventually you'll forget them!!!

Thanks, math isn't my strongest, learning to redo all the fundamentals. This has made it much easier than how I was taught Lattice #. All my life I've struggled with math esp. in 2016 when I came very close to having heatstroke twice, causing me to forget a lot and you've literally helped me understand this concept in just one video! Thank You so much!

I used to use this method to solve the problems and equations but since i got into highschool i forgot how to do that because of the calculator x.x thanks for this video man it really helped me 😁

My son is headed to the 3rd grade,Im starting to reach him long multiplication,then realized how much I've forgotten Thank you very much for this ,it's slowly coming back
I always tend to algebraically rewrite the problem such that each term becomes way easier to work with (without the help of calculators or the internet), for example the problem in this video which was 321*57, this can be written as (300+20+1)*(50+7), now just multiply this out and you get: (15000 + 2100 + 1000 + 140 + 50 + 7) = (18100 + 190 + 7) = (18297) which is the answer.
The neat thing is that we can do this to ANY mathematical problem, whether it's (1321^2), or (51,25*512,6), (13,5 +/- 12,5%) or something like 72,675% of 8925 which seems impossible without a calculator, but you can do it in your head and it works every time, all you need to do is to either rewrite each term or break the numbers up to smaller components and we can do the computation numerically, sure some problems might take some time and there is quite a lot of arithmetic but as long as we get the correct it's all that we care about. As long as you somewhat fluent in algebra/manipulation numbers and expression it shouldn't be any issues.
After doing a lot of physics math on my calculator for some years I had to come back here to remember the basics to help me with the bigger multiplications in my linear algebra course. The video was simple but after reading your comment it just pleases my physics brain immensly and seems like a much more "adult" way of doing it

@@kelptana5568 I mean for competitve use, since the way the stats increase is set to be according to the base * some numbers and stuff. But really I didnt need to learn it because the comptitive battling always is set to lvl 50 which makes it easy because it just becomes base * 1 + 5 = the mimumum stats and you dont need to do the wild base * level * something else or whatever else it was
As an Jamaican teacher don't really explain anything to me and tbh this video help me to understand how to multiple large numbers❤ I feel so happy rn that I understand how to do it now
I have a bachelors degree and this helped me out tremendously for a basic adult test for a job. Its like stepping into a time machine and heading back to 5th grade. Modern math and graphing calculators in college have ruined my basics lol.

I still need to do lots of practice on this because it's like gibberish but I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it! 29 years old and I failed maths at school because I never took an interest in it, that and the teachers just made us write from books and I need to see them demonstrate firsthand how to do something... thank you for doing just that! I've honestly been petrified of maths for as long as I can remember, hence why I have only just now started again at the age I am to do it and actually hopefully succeed this time!
