Haven't heard this song before, between Emmylou's voice and Dolly Parton's lyrics it's a poignant and beautiful warning to never take a wife and mother for granted.
Classic country music is cold..harsh and hard..it tell it like is and does not sugar coat shtt..it tells the truth and tells it the way it is.. Few people realize how true and hard this song really is..

She didn't write it for her...she was about to release it and Harris was over listening to some songs and she said she had to have that song! Dolly gave it to her to build up her reputation as a song writer. Porter and Dolly got in a fight over it.
