2/13/24 UPDATE: Disney has provided an updated opening timeframe for Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Summer 2024!
So a re-skinned splash mountain, a new building in EPCOT to replace the one they tore down in the same location and new bear songs. What an exciting year……..
Zip a dee doo dah, my oh my what a wonderful year
Disneylands plan for 2024 sounds so muxh more interesting. While it's not a lot going on as well they have the limited time events with pixar fest and season of the force.
Wait until you see 2025
If you're lucky, they might start tearing down 1/4 of Animal Kingdom for a lazy retheme!
Disney Corporate just needs to get their act together and finance the parks. No sane company ignores their cash cow as much as Disney does.
Instead of feeding the cow they’re draining it dry. Ol’ Betsy can only take so much abuse.
Probably added more in the last few years then in the last 2 decades no?
@@Mostdefinitelynotabot Added more what? Problems?
@@Blah3210 no more new things. They also have 90% more guest then there nearest competitor. As an exec you would be asking to be fired if you approved a higher budget for imagineering when you were already maximizing profits. Your asking them to loose money. They would say “nah, I and my bosses like money”.
@@Mostdefinitelynotabot yeah just like how Sears department stores had 90% more guest than there nearest competitor 30 years ago and they’re still making lots of money oh wait
Disney ain’t worried about Epic Universe. But they should be.
Especially, and this may or may not be hyperbole….if Epic Universe is anything within the realm of Tokyo DisneySea (which is considered the best theme park on the planet by a vast majority).
There’s ALOT of similarities that I figured Universal had to at least been inspired by that theme park somewhat (Resort/Hotel INSIDE the park, cohesive and DETAILED themed lands, GROUND BREAKING and ORIGINAL attractions (Doneky Kong Coaster, giant dueling coaster that will rival any in Orlando).
Disney’s ego is just mind boggling. Lol.
They are banking on their brand while in a self inflicted sleeper hold 🏰🌴🚝🥱😴💀🪦
@@328am Well put! 5 points and a star on the Mystery Dartboard!
@@BlacknWhiteBadger88it’s not gonna be anything like Tokyo DisneySea. I don’t think anything will ever come close to that
Yes. Feel like Epic Universe coming on line may the equivalent of when Steve Wynn opened The Mirage and Bellagio in Las Vegas. Those properties raised the bar and changed the competitive landscape of Las Vegas and Epic Universe seems like it is going to change the landscape. Disney should be worried and focusing on increasing them game.
You are absolutely the most informative "go to" person for Disney news. Thanks for what you do.
Happy New Year!!! 🥳 -Brayden
Keep preaching brother!!!
Brayden, this is why we love your work! You speak truth to power and are dedicated to telling us how you see things. 👏🏽🙌🏽
Happy New Year Brayden
Keep doing what you do Brayden! It is your intent to make communication improve and share the truth, that make you so relevant in the marketplace of ideas! Your deep searching (top notch "detecting") and eloquent reporting are in a class by yourself! And your production values are a source of wonderment and very enjoyable! Have a fabulous 2024! Looking forward to more of this and Thank you!
Bring the truth Brayden! We need to know the facts and what the cheapskates are turning down.
Don't hold back Brayden. I've been going to Walt Disney World for 50+ years and I'm really looking forward to my next trip to Dollywood!
Bought my Diamond pass a couple months ago. Dollywood is a lot of fun all year
Love that place. I actually had a near Parton experience.
This year, we went to Honolulu; much less than WDW, and less of a hassle to plan.
Thanks if he just giving his opinion I'll save the 20 minutes
Keep going Brayden...shine a light on what is really going on...truth will out
Should go to Busch Gardens
It's shameful what the current executives are doing to Walts vision. Brayden, thanks for bringing smart and honest content always. Happy New Year!
You are SO right Brayden. The comment when you said people are paying thousands of dollars to come to Disney for a once in a lifetime trip and end up waiting in lines hours and hours for nothing! I am a travel agent and I had a family of 9 there this week and they waited 5 hours for FOP and didn’t even get to ride cause their kids were tired of waiting so they got out of line. It’s ridiculous. No Genie + because it was either sold out or they didn’t want to pay for it 9 times per person would be insane. So I get it. But, yes Disney needs to at least do a virtual queue during the most crowded holiday weeks
Never stop being honest and transparent. Us fans need people like you to really understand the news
Not necessarily to understand but remember have your not closed
I grew up in California, and subsequently go back to visit often.
When I was growing up, you could just wake up one morning and say.. hey let's go to Disney.
I miss that spontaneity. It really contributed to the magic, which has since fizzled😢
Preach it, Brayden! Great stream. You are providing honest coverage which is the best thing you can do for your followers. Keep it up!!
I have gone to disney for multitude weeks every year for 25 years. I haven't been back since the lock down. I will NOT go back till Disney makes major changes. They are out of control with their lack of respect for the customer. Even before the lick down it was bad but now is unforgivable. Thank you Brayden for keeping it real!
I'm in the same boat, and I really don't enjoy feeling like a Crusty Curmudgeon. For 30 years, I was an enthusiastic fan and was eager to share my fandom with all of my friends and family, but since 2020 (when I lost my dream vacation opportunity) its been an empty hole. Is it my eyes being opened for the first time?....I don't think so. I loved to drink the delicious Kool-Aid called Disney Fanatic, but now I am not interested. That feeling of "lack of respect for the customer" is real, whether it is true or not.
@@markfortin3502they have real contempt for the fans of their franchises- Star Wars, Marvel and now animation.
I worked for Disney years ago in the late 70’s and early 80’s and I loved it, it was a dream come true. I question whether the current leadership loves it as much as I did. My hope is that someone takes it over who loves it as much as Walt did, who loves the idea of families spending time together, not adults partying all the time.
You and PC Dev are the only ones I go to for Disney news because you guys tell the truth on what's really going on. Its not all sunshine and daisy's right now and the leadership over Disney is failing. It amazes me how disconnected they are because its such a easy solution on what they need to do to turn things around and they would rather stay tight on money. Appreciate what you do always Brayden and keeping it real
Yea well Dev is just bitter because he was removed from Media list...he would go back to shilling if they put him back on list.....Brayden is real deal
@@shawnokeefe1580I was about to say the same thing!
DbfGuide is another great Disney channel that keeps it real and has great tips and tricks. I enjoy Kyle pallo’s vlogs but he’s definitely a Disney fanboy that would never say anything bad about Disney
@@shawnokeefe1580 PCD is a hypocrite. He complains constantly about Disney and says he's probably not going back much, but still goes for every occasion. He knows that's what people want to see and he made his money from Disney content.
@@shawnokeefe1580Dev got removed because his disagreements with disney. you can't call someone bitter for speaking truth to a garbage company like this one
I can’t wait till the next time I go to Disney World so I can see all the new planters

Oh, but there's also a new statue you can sit next to, if you wait in the photopass line. It's exciting new experiences like that which only Disney can deliver.
Sad to hear Disney losing Imagineer talent. Dollywood actually brought in a retired Imagineer (Patrick Brennan) to oversee the development of Wildwood Grove and he did an absolutely wonderful job with that whole area. Its crazy that you can see the Disney hints in that land. You also reported on that Midwest park project the rich Pizza Hut guy is trying has apparently brought on a bunch of former Imagineers. Haven't heard a thing about that project in quite a while though.
Disney's Imagineers are leaving Disney and leaving to make it's competition better. American Heartland is doing with Imagineering what Don Bluth did with Disney's animation department.
American Heartland is expected to open in fall 2026. But there isn't much to say about Epic Universe right now while it's still being constructed either. And you don't have many park bloggers living in Texas to cover that construction.
Speaking TRUTH! Disney is going to hope that people visit Disney World for one day on their Universal vacation next year!! 😬
Thanks again, Braden!!❤
Thank you for calling out Disney’s bad decisions! Honest non-biased content is so hard to find these days.
Another superb video Brayden. I feel like your opinions speak to EXACTLY what is on my mind today. It seems like everything I wonder and everything I question, you are right there talking about those exact things. Your finger is right on the pulse of every problem that Disney has today. You are like a Disney doctor with an X-ray and MRI machine looking at Disney's internal sickness. Keep up the great work and I'm very interested in your videos for 2024. With a potential,....possible...Boardroom bloodbath in the next 3 months, I think that HUGE Disney drama is "could" be right around the corner. Disney is about to give you more material than you can handle to report on! This could very well be an ugly year for Burbank's leadership. Keep up the incredible work. You are the best on RUclips!
Brayden, you are brutally honest and this is so appreciated Thank you!
You speak the truth this why we watch - thank you for all your hard work!
I say it all the time in the comments, but you are THE BEST source of Disney related news on RUclips. Keep doing what you're doing. Keep speaking truth to power. We're all here because like you, we love Disney, and want it to be the best version of itself. Thanks, Brayden, and keep up the good work! Happy New Year!
Hire the Oriental Land Company to manage the Florida parks.
Lmao! Seriously.
It’s sad when they do Disney 1000% better than Disney does Disney
They are adding too many hotels for the amount of the parks capacity.
Love this channel! It’s amazing how good Brayden and the channel have become.
I love the channel because you can tell Brayden LOVES Disney World AND he’s truly worried about the direction of the parks.
This is exactly how I feel. After 20 years, finally let our annual passes go in September. Not because of politics or even prices-we let them go because the park experience has become difficult (Park reservations), stressful (being awake, on Genie and stressing at 6:59 AM), inconvenient for families with older kids (no late night hours) and STALE.
Even when Disney tries new things (Moana, Tiana, etc.), they consistently underwhelm.
We love DINOSAUR and Tough to be a Bug. Definitely going to soak up those attractions during our upcoming trip.
that little play area kept my young grandchildren entertained for over an hour while we waited for the rest of the family to ride Splash Mountain (their last ride for all time).
The entire last portion of you explaining what’s wrong with Disney right now is so correct, I’m an Illustration student and I started my pursuit of art in hopes of one day becoming an Imagineer. Around 2019-2020, I realized that passion for Disney would be a waste of time as them as a company and brand is basically creatively bankrupt. It’s sad to see them stop expanding parks and letting imagineers create new and original experiences.
Im an annual passholder, and your channel is the best one to get reality based news and opinion. keep hammering them braden!
As always good job Brayden. I enjoy your objective reporting! Best in 2024!
You’re absolutely right! Spot on analysis of the current situation at Disney. Thank you for providing great content as always. Here’s to a happy healthy and safe new year.
on my most recent visit in September 2023, the low level of maintenance was shocking. But not only that. Landscaping was being ignored as well. Animal Kingdom is supposed to look lush and somewhat overgrown but not with weeds running wild through the attraction paths. It seemed they must have cut their landscaping staff almost completely.
It makes me sad to hear this. From my experience the first thing to go is landscaping and janitorial services. That is really not a good sign.
Where I work they have replaced people who do floor cleaning with a robot. It can not complete a night without multiple prompts and assistance. Which cost the physics staff time and energy. No saving less actual results.
I've found Animal Kingdom to be the best maintained. The biggest issue I find is that the landscaping in Pandora is not being properly maintained. You can hear (and even see) the bus stop from the River Journey line because the bamboo has thinned. Also, the fake alien plants don't get cleaned nearly as often as they need it.
The other parks, though... EPCOT is alright, but Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios have some severe issues with damaged paint, building cracks, broken pavement, and even structural failures like the facade that collapsed. I've even heard people commenting on the Tower of Terror line thinking it was just poorly maintained rather than themed. The problem with that comment is that unlike complaints Disney won't stop the rain, I can see where it's coming from. The fake broken down Hollywood Tower Hotel is increasingly looking like the rest of the park.
We all know if Eisner was CEO and Universal was building another theme park… he would have already broken ground on a 5th gate, and had massive additions/ “celebrations” at every park.
Iger talks the talk, but doesn’t walk the walk
Reading 'Work in Progress' by Eisner now and have a feeling you're right.
Love your work and passion man. I’ve been an annual pass holder since the 1990’s and finally walked away from Disney last year. Sad to see what it’s become and I’m glad you are doing videos on how I feel. ❤
You're one of the few people giving out news that isn't eating poo with a saccharine smile. I went to Disneyland 5 times in 2023 and had several more "This is garbage" experiences than I ever have in the past, but when you watch the influencers they're all Polyanna. I'd rather frequent content providers who are honest with what's happening. Thanks for being that person.
I’m looking forward to the Rain Forest Cafe Bayou Adventure
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 YES! Everything you said! I have been a LIFELONG passionate Disney fan for my 39 years, and I have seen the last days of Eisner (who took the reins the year I was born) the last days of Chapek, and hopefully Iger for the 2nd time. Disney CEO’s always start strong and finish awfully. I think we need an entire clean slate this time. All the leadership concern themselves with is running Disney solely as a business. Most of them don’t even refer to Disney related terminology, attractions, and characters correctly half the time. It’s so frustrating. There needs to be a balance of creative people who act as the ambassadors of the culture, history, and lore and business people who write the checks and balance the budget.
If only we could bring Walt back for a few years. He was not perfect. He had some hard perceptions based on his life and times but we need the creativity and boldness.
I’m glad you pointed it out, Brayden - yes Disney will gladly build more hotels and increase capacity, but then not build more stuff for them to do. Instead do the opposite and close stuff or just retheme. So wait times are ridiculous, imagine waiting 5 and a half hours for a single 1-2 minute attraction (basically watching a screen on a bike). Nuts! No, Disney, those bushes and benches in Epcot aren’t occupying the increased attendance.
Happy new year!
You and Kevin Heimbach seem to be the most genuine Disney news informants and I have massive respect for you. Keep it up! (I am DVC and massively appreciate the transparency you give off)
I decided not renew my Annual Passes in 2024. They expire in May. They got nothing for me anymore. I might see how Universal turns out.
Terrific and honest video. I appreciate your no BS assessments of what's going on at the parks and don't find the tone negative at all. I've been going to the parks since the 70s, but 2021 was my last year. It's just too much work now to experience WDW to its fullest. As long as people keep going and putting up with all these aggravating changes, nothing is going to change. It really is sad what corporate has done to the guest experience at the parks.
Thank you soo much Brayden! As a current cast member from Epcot and true 100% believe in the Legacy of Walt Disney I’m also concerned about the parks here at WDW. Now entering in the new year now I’m joining Disney Cruise Line which at least the cruise industry is completely thriving as I continue working for the Walt Disney Company. I don’t what the future holds for the Domestic Disney Parks but with Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust we will always find a way. As soon those executives get those wake up call they will have to withdraw all the money whether they like it or not to put more expansions to the parks. For my fellow Disney Imagineers Cast Members don’t give up on the challenges that you’re facing. As Mufasa say, “Remember Who You Are!” You got this! Team Disney 💯💯💯💯💪
Brayden I’ve been saying all of what you said for a couple of years now. This years D23 needs to be big. I mean expansion on MK, expansion on AK, finally have everything opened at Hollywood studios and please no more walls at EPCOT. Among a lot of of changes and add ons, that’s what needs to be announced. No more hotels.
Hoping this is the year that Disney turns things around or even a hostile takeover forces changes. I miss old Disney, but I simply can't bring myself to support what they have become whether it is their horrible movies or even the parks. As a person that has been to Disney World 15 times in my life it makes me sad to feel this way. I didn't abandon them, they abandoned us
Happy New Year!
You do the best you can with what Disney gives you to work with…which is nothing. You are absolutely right. They keep adding rooms to house bodies, but give no thought to what those bodies are going to do or where they’re going to go once they leave their absurdly priced resorts.
Thank you for your honest opinions and up to date information.
You are spot on!
It's sad to see Disney lose their innovation, excellence and dedication to its guests.
Great video. Way to get both the little bit of good and the whole lot of bad that is going on at Disney out on the open.
💯 appreciate the honesty every time. We need this hard truth! As a Disney parks fan I want them to succeed and improve. But it will never happen without exposing the ineptitude of the current management / C suite personnel.
I used to look forward to changes in the park, and now every announcement just takes away something I love.
Keep up the great reporting!! You are speaking for all of us who love Disney! Thank you so much for your honesty and putting so much work and effort into your reporting/videos!
Tell it like it is! Please never change. We need reporters like you who stay honest and hold these companies to a higher standard.
Completely agree with your position. I was bawling 10 years ago because I was afraid I wouldn't get back to Disney. I now have NO. Desire to go to Disney.
I work for a company that is trying to bleed the brand dry before closing is and it seems to be the way Disney is going. It is soul crushing to think that is what is happening.
Thank you Brayden for Speaking out. I'm a Big Disney Fan-Grew up under the Esiner Era. I'm really tired of the mess that some who were at the top created in 2020. I can't even imagine what was like being a 1st time visitor or just a simple family of 4 going to WDW during Christmas & New Years.
Disney Needs to get their Act Together soon. Because Universal is getting ready to take that #1 Spot as far Parks & Resorts.
That is why I'm going to choose a Disney Cruise over going to Walt Disney World this year. It's less easier to plan.
I'll take the Experience I had in 2018 over what it's like there currently.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Brayden. I have to say... there was a time when I went to Disney at least twice a year. I basically ate, slept and dreamed about Walt Disney World. But about a decade ago, that love began to fade. Now, for the first time in a few years, I'm planning a trip to WDW. Honestly, it's no my choice, but rather a family decision. Also for the first time, maybe ever, I'm not at all excited. The planning has become more of a chore than a joy. There's nothing new or exciting that I'm looking forward to experiencing. I dread the crowds and lines. Honestly, my plan is to send the family to the parks - God speed! - and relax at the Boardwalk resort. I'm hoping things will go better than I anticipate, but that hope is minimal at best. I have loved Disney with all my heart for decades and am deeply saddened by what's happening. That said, I look forward to every single one of your broadcasts. I learned long ago that you can love something and still be critical of it. Ask any parent. lol Keep doing what you do, because as far as I'm concerned, nobody out there is doing critical thinking and commentary with regards to Walt Disney World better.
Requiring PPR’s for AP holders is like punishing those people for loyalty, especially out of town AP holders.
The sillier part is a passholder could just park hop to any park anyway now, since all the passholder tiers have park hopping built in.
@@dynabeen2that will be the next thing to go, wouldn’t put it past Disney to monetize park hopping for passholders or only include it in the top pass
@@adamp2384 If they did that might be the item that had me give up my annual pass. There is a quite a bit of competition out there and more on the way.
Genie+ exists entirely to extract more money from APs. If it was even remotely about tourists, they would have just hiked day tickets. Remember Grace's line from Avatar about rain?
As always, very professionally presented. Thank you!
We appreciate your extensive research and honesty. Happy New Year!🥳
Thanks for bringing to light all the information you provided in this video. Your in depth research and hard work are not unnoticed! You are appreciated. Keep up the absolutely sublime work!
I always appreciate your honest, truthful reporting. You say the tough things that need to be said. It is hard to watch all of Walt's work be destroyed. The last trip was definitely not magical like the past. I certainly had to lower my expectations. Keep doing what you're doing, I look forward to each new video you release.
Amen! Preach! Thanks for speaking for us. I don't think my kid is going to have the same fond memories of Disney as me and that makes me sad.
That's if you can afford to take him there
Out of all the news today, I think the Country Bear upgrade is the most exciting. The least exciting is the thought that Pecos Bills will be re-themed. I love that place. And I remember my kids enjoying that Splash Mountain play area when they were small. It was a great place for parents to get out of the sun, too! I will be very sorry to see that go.
I am looking forward to watching a ton of Mickey Views this year.
I had to pause the video at 16:31 to take in that chart. Wow! That is amazing information! To now have HALF the amount of Attraction Time compared to the peak in 1992 is just crazy. Pay more to get less. Ugh!
Happy New Year, Brayden! I'm so glad we have you doing what you're doing! Please keep up your awesome work. Tell us what we NEED to hear, not what we want to hear. This is what makes your channel really stand out in a great way.
Lifetime (70 years) lover of Disney here and I appreciate everything you post! We took our daughter many times in the early 90’s (best Epcot years ever!) and now have taken our granddaughter once (Nov.2022) We are planning to take her again in Nov. this year and I am trying very hard to plan a magical trip, in spite of all the diminishing returns. Your reports help to give me a reality check and they really do help me plan accordingly, so THANK YOU! Keep doing what you’re doing. There are others out there who capitalize on click bait headlines, but I know you will deliver. Happy New Year!! (I hope your messages get through to the powers that be)
Beautifully executed once again, Brayden! Love watching your videos and the honesty you provide to better inform ALL Disney fans!
Ignore the shills. You are objective AND positive. And constructive! Love your content. Thank you as always! Keepin' it real.
We appreciate the honest news and respect what you’re doing!
Happy New Year Brayden!🥳
Thanks again for a great video.
Universals current moves and concrete future plans are sweeping the floor with Disney and it’s so sad, but also exciting to see Universal hitting peak performance. So goes the company, so go the parks. Still hard to believe they’ve ruined the most popular ride at Magic Kingdom. That’s like the coach cutting his star quarterback after he’s helped win multiple seasons for your team for zero reason.
Thanks for all the updates. Continue doing what you do. ❤
100% accurate reporting! We are going to Universal this year because Disney has just become too much “work”. Universal gives free express pass when you stay at one of there premier hotels. It was a no brainer this year to go somewhere we can actually connect as a family and not a device all day 📱
Same here! Doing the same thing! And depending on the day and number of people staying, genie plus could cost you as much as that upgraded room surcharge with the included express pass.
Brayden, thank you for all the updates you bring to us. I am a long-time disney fan, and I am very concerned about where the parks are going. I hope Disney will wake up and get back on track.
Always keeping it real. We appreciate it!!!
Happy New Year, Brayden! 🎉
Thank you for all the work you put in to bringing us this news1!
thanks for keeping it real, brayden! we love your reporting and appreciate your perspective. 👏🏻
Thank you so much! I appreciate your work.
Thank you for your honesty. I’ve had the itch to come back to WDW for a little bit but I think now I will wait for Epic Universe as my kids are now huge Super Mario fans instead of fans of Elemental or Turning Red or Wish or any other flop Disney’s done lately.
Thank you, Braden! I appreciate your insight. Happy New Year!
Thank you so much, Brayden, for your passion and determination to hold Disney to account for its bad decisions and stupid moves. Maintenance! Walt would be so disappointed, as he wanted his parks to be seamless experiences, with nothing disrupting the illusion and the fantasy! Creatives leaving for greener pastures! Aren’t cast members and enthusiastic employees the heart of the company? Iger loves the sports component, which means nada to me. Why are they hanging onto underperforming and difficult-to-manage business components when they should focus on excellent movies and parks? Get back to basics.
New projects they should work on are Ice Age and Rio attractions, complete with characters meet-and-greets.
It’s extremely sad that I’m finally at a place in my life I can enjoy Disney world and they are destroying it. I wish I could have been around and able to enjoy it back when it was more of Walt’s Disney
Great analysis and look into what we can expect… or lack off for 2024. Keep on them Brayden!! Thank you for all your analysis!
Thank you Brayden! I think what you do is awesome. Keep doing what you do
Thanks for the brutal honesty. Shine the light!!!!
I 💯 agree with everything you said. They are literally running WDW into the ground. Where are the Disneyland updates to the classics along with new properties that are original. I was riding Pirates at Disneyland Saturday and was thinking when will Disney bring us something original again. Enough with the movie tie-ins! A movie’s popularity fades over time but an original idea can flourish! The management is letting WDW stay in the past. There is soo much that can be done to restore the magic to the parks and return to that distinctly Disney touch!! Hope it returns soon. ☹️
Brayden, you are THE BEST! Keep it up. Thank you for all you do.
I hope that Nelson Peltz gets on the Disney board and makes some big positive changes.
No. He is all about short term stock price increase
Awesome as always! Happy New Year!
The additional hotel building and longer lines reminds me of the highway system where you often hear "one more lane" will solve traffic even though it never does
You go, Brayden!!! Tell it like it is!
And Happy New Year 🎆!
Keep up the great work! You are truly amazing and I appreciate and love you and what you do!!
Preach Braydon, I completely agree with everything you say in your videos, also happy new year

Happy New Year Brayden, keep up the great job. Cheers.
Thank you Brayden for the honesty and this channel. Keep up the great work and happy new year!
Still waiting for something to replace Prime Evil Whirl.
Happy New Year Brayden! Thank you for telling us whats going on at Disney and what Disney execs are up to. 🙂 Also, I totally agree about the tickets/reservations or no reservations issue. Very confusing and makes no sense ... I've been following your channel for the past 3-4 years and very much appreciate your perspective. 🙂
