I got married to my husband in January 2020. Teo years later he was arrested and taken back to las Vegas NV, which was where we came from and where we were married. In April of 2020 my husband took off an ankle monitor for a misdemeanor and was told to pay a fine and give random urinal is and test negative for any drugs. He decided that he didn't want to do it anymore and it was a misdemeanor even though I begged him to finish the ordered program in va court

Thank You for all that you do, it's a shame how hard vets have to work to get the benefits that they deserve and your work makes it much easier for us.

Can you touch on if the ex wife is the sbp but the veteran is remarried until death. Now what about the second wife. And by the way the ex is remarried, but the divorce documents say that doesn’t matter. Seems illegal?

The VA gets more right than the SSA does. Ex spouses that remarry should not be able to game the system for a higher payout.

If they got a divorce why should the spouse get anything. She can get a job and work. And if he gets remarried the ex still gets money. That’s crap as ever.

Divorce normally cuts off benefits. In addition, generally VA benefits beling to the Vet while alive.
