before we’re considering to get the base model of the corolla cross, but with the mid-variant of the Yaris Cross, it’s bang for the buck. It has more features compared with the corolla cross.
Yes but if I’d do that I still get the “not a real toyota” kinda feeling. Tho its sad that real Toyotas, when it arrives in the Phils are stripped down in features and are pricey.
They should've priced the Yaris Cross lesser (somewhere around 1.3-1.4M) to make a more defined separation from the Corolla Cross Hybrid in terms of pricing. As it is right now, there's a tendency that prospective buyers lean towards the Corolla Cross Hybrid... In terms of tech, looks like the Yaris Cross offers a bit more compared to the Corolla Cross to which is probably Toyota's justification for the price point.
Basically those who can afford the Corolla Cross should just choose that one over the Yaris Cross for the added safety features, added engine power and more premium driving experience brought by the TNGA. This car is for those who wants the best value for money feature wise and is willing to sacrifice a bit of engine power and comfort compared to the Corolla Cross.
Corolla cross and Yaris cross are for different people, those with big space to park buy Corolla cross, those like me with small garages, will buy the Yaris cross.

Given the price of gasoline nowadays, the decision point for me is the mileage one gets between the Corolla Cross HEV & the Yaris Cross HEV. Hope there's a video soon on this kind of comparison.
