Not to rant or anything lets just say yes toyota and other brands out beat the chinese cars in their home country its just the same concept with filipino as well they dont support their own products/brands they buy other brands for social status..so thats why chinese vehicle investing their cars outside their country and still improving as we speak there is no vehicle is perfect..we just need to be more open minded and if the offer is really value for the money..😊 lets just be honest japanese vehicle get to comfrotable and selling overprice and under spec vehicle in the PH market. Thats why chinese makers taking advantage of that give what is value for the money in PH market..i know lots of people say chinese product sucks but what you buy from lazada and shopee are made in their country..✌️

They should've priced the Yaris Cross lesser (somewhere around 1.3-1.4M) to make a more defined separation from the Corolla Cross Hybrid in terms of pricing. As it is right now, there's a tendency that prospective buyers lean towards the Corolla Cross Hybrid... In terms of tech, looks like the Yaris Cross offers a bit more compared to the Corolla Cross to which is probably Toyota's justification for the price point.

    • @cheeneep

Basically those who can afford the Corolla Cross should just choose that one over the Yaris Cross for the added safety features, added engine power and more premium driving experience brought by the TNGA. @tigz6898 Год назад +1

Youll consider the price difference between gasoline and hev variant, then have the average km/l om both and calculate the monthly cost. On average itll take 4-5 years for hev to overtake the value of petrol version if that is your traveling for more than 15,000km a year
I also considered getting one but after estimating my yearly mileage at aroun 8,000 km a year, i also made another calculation with petrol prices at php 100/liter, it wasnt worth it to have a hybrid for long term as youll consider the overhead cost for hybrid maintenance like battery replacement and etc, best it would be better to get a cheaper car if you want fuel economy.

@@JuanPerez-lu3vf The EU-spec is not based on any Daihatsu platform. The ASEAN version is. And it's always seen as a second rate platform compared to the UK/EU one. But it would be interesting to compare it side by side.

looks old for a brand new model even the interior looks uninspired but aside from that I like that it's a hybrid so I'm sure it will sell well and also the ground clearance is 260mm? that's more than most of the 7 seater SUVs lmao. it's definitely toyota's answer to the influx of chinese crossovers flooding the market with that moonroof and reasonably affordable price for a toyota.

It ‘s good to hear toyota is catching up beginning with the new Yaris Cross. Need more power please.😅
Obviously, China cars will dominate the market in the years to come for EV segment.
They are more affordable (discovered new battery tech), yet premium looks and full of high tech amenities.😊
    Watch out!💪🏻

of course Chinese cars need to put more tech and features if they want to have customers b'coz if not how can they compete with the giant Toyota? Try to imagine if Toyota put more tech and features tapus same price sa chinese brand tining mo may bibili pa ba sa chinese cars?
