Only problem with welding the braces to the skin is there is a good possibility the skin is gonna buckle up in the sun because it's gonna loose some ability to expand and contract.
I had a 98 S10 with a full wall and 4-15's and my local stereo guy did lizard skin and expanded foam inside all of the crack's and it did pretty good a lot better than the roll on silver sticky back deadner made by scosche
By no means Im an expert, scientist or chemical engineer but doesn't Vibraflex need to be heated to a certain temperature for a chemical reaction to active hardener & once cured it is hard as lack of a better term " cement " SPL guys sometimes do multiple layers of Vibraflex.. Learning & planning to use in lastest project... Thanks for the great content as always 🚗🔊 Bass4Life
You can watch the second video on my channel. I also HAD multiple videos that I have already erased showing the process of installation. This car has 3 layers of 160 mil sundown and vibraflex through the car. Also with 80 mil silless... trust me its torched on so hot it blended with the other layers . The flexing is only noticeable during the heat. I have no reason to lie. If you watch Jerry's channel. He got his vibraflex from ME ...So it's definitely installed correctly.
It was ... look at my second video on the channel. I have erased about 300 videos that had all the installation recorded . Not only did I say in this video it was torched , I said it in the second video. It only stays hard in the cool. When your car gets hot enough it WILL flex. Jerry got his vibraflex from me on his doors..So im definitely aware of how to install sundown and vibraflex. I used both. 3 layers of 160 mil and 1 layer 80 mil silless... Jerry tried vibraflex on his doors and they kept cracking . So he had to weld it. The heat will make it flex. But hey , do what you want.
Nice helpful tips

I got it figured out ... but I appreciate the advice.
I just use a tig welder I knows it's way slower process but for me worked great

That lizard skin does great at sealing holes and seams and cracks.
Nice
Thanks

That’s not vibrafex…….
You have to use a torch to apply vibraflex…you didn’t do that or it would look charred
