  • Prisoner Cell Block H Mighty Mouse - Heather Trapp. Jentah Sobott played Mouse in Prisoner Cell Block H (with the full name of Heather "Mouse" Reylene Trapp) the Australian prison drama from 1979 to 1982 and appeared in 67 episodes, with 8 uncredited appearances between episode 19 and episode 98 as a background extra with names Dwyer, White and Pauline used, before earning a more regular role on the show as Mouse between episode 100 and episode 326 with 4 uncredited appearances and 55 credited appearances.
The reason for her nickname has been speculated in several sources. A TV Week article from 1981 says it is because the first scene Mouse was involved in was the prison play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" where she played a mouse and a lion. The prison play was actually her second episode as Mouse. Her first episode as Mouse being episode 106 when she stood up in Ken Pearce's (Tom Oliver) drama group to read a funny parody of the poem "the boy stood on the burning deck" and played a dog in an improvised play, she was already called Mouse at that time. In her second appearance as Mouse in episode 108 the women are in the rec room reading from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" - "SCENE II. Another part of the wood". Mouse was reading the part of Demetrius and Lizzie Birdsworth (Sheila Florance) was reading the part of Lysander. A fan website speculates the nickname is due to the way Mouse appears quietly and it could be to do with her mannerisms.
In episode 167 Mouse is asked by Mr. Gillespie (Wynn Roberts) "why do they call you Mouse?" and Mouse replies "because I can get in and out of small places real fast and my last names Trapp".
Mouse was quiet, worryful, jumpy and not very bright. She could have been either adopted or institutionalised from a young age after her parents sent her out to buy ice cream and when she returned they had disappeared never to be seen again. She was then in and out of Wentworth from the age of 17 for a combination of misdemeanours including prostitution, petty theft and drug use.
Her first appearance as an extra was in episode 19 when along with Martha Eaves (Kate Jason), May Worth (Adair Stagg) and another background character they were in the corridor trying to block officers who were trying to stop Bea Smith (Val Lehman) and Lizzie Birdsworth (Sheila Florance) forcing drugs down Barbara Davidson (Sally Cahill), Erica Davison's (Patsy King) niece. In episode 21 Vera Bennett (Fiona Spence) calls her "Dwyer" to bring a tray to the governors office for the Visiting Justice. Other background character appearances followed with letters at mail calls, backup for the top dog and other scenes under the names "White" and "Pauline". At Sheila Florance's insistance to the casting director Jentah landed a regular role as Mouse who was involved in several major storylines.
