    Can ppf be applied over vinyl wrap Tesla?

  • @ceeIoc
    @ceeIoc 7 месяцев назад

    So for wrapping the edges, you don’t need anymore tack solution after letting it sit for 2 hours? How does it stick?

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  7 месяцев назад +2

      Once it’s dry after those 2 hours, it’ll roll over just fine. Since it’s such a small surface area, it’ll be better dry than with tack

      It doesn't unroll on the edges. Totally fine to roll.

    What happens if you got dirty in there ? Can you lift it up and redo it ??

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  Год назад +1

      You can lift it up and get dirt out while installing. If it’s been hours and it’s already adhered, then no. We recommend installing in good lighting so you can catch things like that right away

    So we don't need to apply the tack solution to all the areas? Will the slip solution affect the adhesive?

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  8 месяцев назад +1

      Nope! The slip solution will actually help the adhesive adhere correctly

  • @rkgsd

    I added the required water to the tack solution bottle but needed to put the project on hold for a few months. Any idea if the solution will still work?

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  Год назад +1

      Since it's been a few months, I would re-mix the solutions. But if you only had the water in a closed bottle, that should be fine to use still

    Great video! What is tack solution? How is it different from slip solution?

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  Год назад +1

      Slip is used to slide the film into place and tack is used to flush the slip out and adhere it into place. This video explains more in detail - How to Mix Slip and Tack Solutions For PPF Installation - TESBROS

      @@tesbros I’m learning and trying 3M last week, it was so so so hard to remove the film from the paper. With Xpel I feel it’s more easy, it removes itself 😅. And the 3M was a pita, I had to remove it because could handle it. At least, it’s so hard to handle one person. Also noticed 3M is thicker.

    Great tutorial! Wanting to plastidip my logos. Can i do that after Ppf is applied or should I plastidip prior to installing the ppf? Thanks

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  Год назад +1

      Really you can do it either way as long as you give it a good day or so in between installs. Remember there is a cutout around the T for this kit, so if you PPF first, you'll have to peel the excess plasti dip around that which may make it slightly more tedious.
