Loved your reaction! I also agree to a lot of what you’re saying about the image and how you don’t expect Andy to sound like he does. His voice has improved SO much over the years, too. I wanted to suggest some music videos for you to listen to by BVB: The Legacy (2011), Faithless LIVE (Alive and Burning, 2015), Scarlet Cross (2020). I think all of these music videos and songs show how the band has evolved. My favorite era of BVB is the 2010/2011 - but what they’re doing right now with The Phantom Tomorrow is also 👌🏼
Don't feel bad for not knowing them before, I only discovered them in February this year because Andrew's solo video "We don't have to dance" popped up in my YT feed so I clicked on it and then I became just a little obsessed lol they're great
Knives and pens is the first song of theirs I heard, but all of the wretched and divine album is imo their best. They have plenty of good songs, but this album just stands as perfection. Love concept albums and this did it well.
the funniest thing about the singer Andy Biersack is he stared in the Movie American Satan (2017) n the tv show spinoff Paradise City (2021) about a band that gained popularity because they made a deal with the devil but in both the Tv n movie he didn't do the singing which I believed he could have ,he's a freakin singer. and a very good one between a rock voice n his growling why not.

The Motley Crue vibes are so strong with these guys for me. From the way they dress to their sound to even where they are from the Hollywood area. This is coming from a huge fan of the very early era of Motley Crue. There are obviously differences. The vocals are in a deeper register, etc but there are a lot of similarities as well for me anyway.
Even though the band got a lot of support by the Emo community after their head start, they aren’t really an Emo band. Sometimes they are still classified as such, though when being careful with definitions here, it’s rock. :D Appreciate your reactions to them so much :)

2013 is the year it came out and the album it's on came out Wretched And Divine: The Story Of The Wild Ones, it's one of my favorite bands
