It was a stupid comment then and hearing it replayed now. By saying that, the other 4 knew they lost out. At least 2 of them deserved it more than Kidman anyway.
Kidman was in a third of The Hours, worst choice of a Best Actress Winner to be given the award, maybe it was the "nose". Diane was robbed she gave a brilliant performance.
