I recently turned my mom into an Army. I've always talked about BTS before but she wasnt into it but she did listen. Then when I lost my dad, she fell into massive depression and I showed her some funny clips of the boys which cheered her up. She got more videos of them on tiktok. Slowly got into their music and now she's adopted them as her sons lol
Now she spends her free time making cute lil BTS edits on tiktok. Theyre not to the public but she has fun making them lol
If the captions aren’t in English, it’s okay to turn them off. The guide already included subtitles, so there is no need for captions to be on. I feel like maybe you missed half of the information with it being covered up, I hope you will watch it again and read it through.
What you see on video is not necessarily what he sees on the screen. Some reactors do explain it the uploading process. He doesn't see the Arabic subs. Otherwise it would be a fake reaction of he cannot see the English subtitles.
he actually said early on that it was difficult to read what was behind the subtitles. Don't think they were suggesting it was a fake anything just that part of what he was trying to read was cut off. @@snowhibiscus

We will sit through the longest documentary just so we see you discover how wonderful funny goofy and talented our BTS boys are. Please pause to read even rewind.. Rest assured ARMY have long attention spans. JK was 13 at audition almost 14 when he moved in to sleep 7 in a room. He was spoiled by all 6 of his older group members. RM said he felt so sorry for him he was so young shy and bewildered and going through puberty.

Thank you for watching our glorious Taylor's guide. She really manages to show you so much in a short video, and I love how she invited ARMYs to help her, and gave them credit. I think you have done well - you do seem to get it now.
But there is a lot more. BTS were given so much abuse, and rudely abused to their faces and in front of others. Korea is a very collectivist society, but Idol industry is brutally competitive and BTS were absolutely meant to fail : they were from a small (and very poor) company, had (what Korea thought was) a "silly name, were told they were untalented and pretentious, and so much more - including death threats. There is evidence that the large agencies did in fact co-ordinate abuse and (actually) crimes attacking them.
And for many years BTS did NOT know if they could do it. They lived with enormous anxiety and stress, and deeply questioned if they were doing the right thing. Their company was close to Bankruptcy, had no other artists with financial potential, and BTS knew it was up them to make a career and make money - they were all in their teens at the time (except Jin who had just turned 21).
Most of them started training with NO EXPERIENCE in crucial elements of their performance, and to perform at a time when they had not yet built any confidence or self assurance. For several years they remained very diffident about their abilities. But when one was down, and self-critical, the others lifted him up. Even today, at the top of their career (so far), they all say they need the others to lift them if they fall.
I'm saying all of this because they are all so perfectionist and professional, and yet they are also all completely will ing to share their fears and vulnerabilities with us. Many Idols in that system are supposed to appear completely perfect human being, with no fears, flaws or weaknesses. BTS never do that. That is actually one of the main reasons that we as ARMYs warm to them and stay with them. Their weaknesses and their courage models for us ways that we too can survive and thrive.
Interesting that you contrast western egotism with Eastern modesty, because BTS' message has for several years been "Love Myself" and they support people learning to genuinely appreciate their strengths and to be gentle over their imperfections - all combine to make me, me.
As you learn more and listen to their music and their story I think you will realise even more strongly how very remarkable - and how ordinary - they are.

Glad to see you here. Welcome to the rabbithole. Yes. They started like the rest, grinding from the bottom up. 💜 BTS contributein over 5 “billion” annually to South Korea economy. Not kpop, just from BTS. Our Bangtan not only take care of their own country but they also care about the rest of the world 🌎.
This group is literally made up of 7 award winning, record setting soloists. It’s like the music equivalent of the Avengers. Definitely check out the solo music, because it’s amazing. And all of their solo work is so different from each other, but at the same time you can see how they all fit together in the BTS DNA. So cool!
If you can't read the writing take the CC off, you had the subtitles on, Thank you for reacting to our BTS, Silver Voice means he has a fantastic singing voice, BTS had 2 sold out concerts at the iconic WEMBLEY STADIUM in 2019 and they were only the 12th artists to achieve this, I became an ARMY in 2021 and when I found out they had been to WEMBLEY I was gutted that I wasn't a fan then because am Scottish, but when they are all discharged from the military by 2025 there is no doubt that they will do a world tour and they will come back to WEMBLEY 2025/26 so am going I am not missing out this time, there ae alot of documentary video's out there about BTS but there is also a couple about ARMY aswell💜

I commented earlier, but then went back and watched the rest of your reaction and realise you probably caught most of it but as an army who has watched this thousands of times as many of us do, I also realise what you have missed because it was completely covered. If you cannot reload it, please watch it again by yourself to get the all the information. If you can reload it again it may be a good idea, since I think this version may lose you a few views. Still a very genuine reaction even if you looked perplexed at times
As an avid watcher of BTS reactions i feel you. I cringe a bit when they miss some important parts or information.
Yes, I was "turned off" from the beginning, when I realized that he unnecessarily had CC clicked which added Arabic? subs on top of the English which was included in TM's video.
This makes me sad, I was so excited to watch his reaction but it was so hard watching the subtitles cover everything. 😭 I've of memorized all of this but it kills me every time someone does this. I'm going to try to keep going but it's difficult 💜 subbed anyway tho

J-Hope's Jack in the Box album is incredible. You should watch his performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago. They said he sold more tickets than any other artist ever in the history of Lollapalooza. When you watch remember that every ARMY Bomb (also called light stick) is an ARMY. They totally took up the space. I think J-Hope was surprised to see so many ARMYs but we always show up for any BTS member.
Suga's (Agust D) solo album is called D-Day and it is amazing. I saw him live in Chicago and it was an experience I will never forget!
Jungkook's (JK, Kookie) solo album is Golden and is also incredible. You should watch the performance video of Seven, the performance video of the Usher remix, Standing Next to You, and the music video of 3D. He also did a live performance in New York City's Time Square.
Well, I think he is somehow still managing to read it. Maybe he can read those captions? Or read through them? He is still getting it. :)

Helpful hint for the guide: Not sure if you know.... Korean people counted age differently to others...
Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust.
The members were only 13-18 years old when they became trainees and 15-20 yo when they debuted.
In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on lunar newyear every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. ....
Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and age became trainee)
Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo)
Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo) Suga started with MIDI at 11
JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo)JHope started dancing at 8

When you said something like "they have so much fun with each other" I knew you saw what we saw beyond their talent and passion for music. I did feel a tad bad that you had another language on top of the English captions. If you click on the "CC" button on the bottom right corner, you can turn those on and off and also select the language you prever as well as font size.

It isn't just that BTS gives back in words, they give financially to worthwhile causes. Many of their private donations are only found out by others giving away information. Some they publicise to highlight a needy charity. They have literally given away millions USD and all of them obviously support their family members.
Other Kpop groups have had it much easier from the start. They are obiously talented but they had huge powerful companies financing them from the start. BTS only had talent, determination and each other. They received a lot of hate from other agencies, groups and their fans, initally in SK but eventually it spread as BTS became international.

If you watch a lot of Documentaries about BTS and behind the scenes, and other contents of BTS, etc, you will see that the founder of BigHit Entertainment name Bang Si Hyuk (also known as Bang PD) also plays a big role to BTS success too (And BTS to the success of BigHit). He believe on their talents and nurture them well.
Since all the BTS members join when they were still mostly teenagers, off course at the beginning there will be conflicts as you see they all have very different personalities but Bang PD teach them how to resolve conflicts. He told them when there is conflict even only 2 members, they have to resolve it with all 7 members (I think this is good idea as the other 5 will see the problem in the neutral eyes and this will grow their bonds and trusts towards each other). He also often encourage the members to pour out their feeling in a song. He is like a father to BTS.
BTS might not share all of the conflicts but they do told ARMY some of it and they said conflicts happen a lot at the beginning but as time past, they rarely any conflicts as they master the skill of respect each other and loving each other and understand each other more.
You will be surprise how well they know each other until the way they breathe and the sound of their walks, their habits, etc.
All members always support other member's solo project such as visit the member who record MV of his solo project to give encouragement, coming on the other member solo concert for support, sometimes even become cameo on other member solo MV, etc.
I would love for you to explore more of BTS (their songs, documentaries, shooting sketch/ behind the scene, their show Rum BTS, etc.) and you can re-watch this guide again on your own time but turn the cc off so you will get some of the information that you miss because it's blocked by cc.

Yes, some of the earlier fan made "Who Are BTS" videos have more of the earlier info and are also enjoyable and informative. One of my favorites is xCeleste's From Nobodies to Legends, 2019., and one of the BTS Accident, Fall and Faints.

Taylors video already had English captives on there why didn't you turn off the captions they were in some other language anyway and now they were on top of the English captains were already in the video I can't watch this toolbar video gonna give it a dislike because you didn't turn off the captions that weren't even in English.
