    We have an Allen & Heath Zed-428 24-channel board that has ten channels that the audio cuts in and out. We can push the mute button two or three times and the audio is then ok for a few seconds and sometimes minutes. This issue seems to be only on even numbered channels. Any suggestions for what may be causing this issue? Thanks, Mike

    Thanks for this, I know very little about electronics but might have a go at cleaning my Allen and Heath zed12fx. Can I do the same for the card on the far right of the desk where the earphone aux output selectors are? They are the only things crackling currently.

      Yes, and you could probably get an air-duster and switch cleaner in there without dismantling too much.

    I have an A&H ZEDi-10, 5 months old which suddenly lost power and won't power up again. Suspect PSU board, any idea where I can download a service manual? I can only find the ZED10FX sm which is different. Original supplier of unit not being much help warranty wise.

    Hello, I was considering buying the ZED 436 model. Would you know if these ZED models have the jumper wire you can change (like on the GL2400 series) so that you can make the direct out jack "post fader" and post EQ? They are wired pre fader and pre EQ from the factory. If yes, perhaps you can let me know where these jumper wires are located. Thanks.

      Hi! Sorry I don't have any experience with the 436 so I don't know about the jumper cable! :-(

      @@Spiderelectron That's OK. Your video gave me a good head start how to get to the channel strips and where the jumper might be located. The jumper on your model, does that need to be resoldered to make it Post fader? Or is there an actual jumper connector you plug in to reconfigure it? Hard to tell from the video. Thanks.

      @@ACIDGREENTECHNO I wound up buying the GL2400 32 channel version instead, which does have the jumpers. It took a while to change two jumpers per channel, but all went well with the change. One just has to make sure you have the jumpers seated right or you will lose continuity in that channel. Good thing we checked and rechecked as a few were not set properly first time around...Thanks for the reply....

    Hi, any tips for removing the fader knobs without damaging them?

    • @Spiderelectron
      @Spiderelectron  5 лет назад +1

      Prising up on them with a broad flat surface is OK - they will come off with firm controlled pressure. Pull the slider all the way to one end before starting. However! Be careful putting them back on - too much pressure will bend the fader, again, have the slider right at the end of the track where there is most support.
      :-)
