I'm a 70 year old kid that never grew up. I absolutely love your channel. Aviation has always been an important part of my life. My dad was an air traffic controller, and flew in SBD dive bomber in the south pacific during world War 2. Can't wait to see more
I agree, I'm 34 and these guys, with Josh Scott and David windestol , back before the first spitfire they designed, got me into flight. Started with the spitfire, and I've moved from fixed wings to fpv drones. I now have about 10 working drones, some carry gopros, some fit in my pocket, and they're all a blast. I owe my hobby obsession to these guys. And also part of my opiate recovery. I was only a few months clean when I found flite test and I do think they helped me stay on the right path. Kept my mind busy. Love this channel so much.❤
It's really cool to know you are winning the hardest, and most important fight of your life! I've been fighting the same thing most of my life , and I'm still fighting it everyday. The battle never ends. I sincerely wish you the best! Never give up! Stay STRONG! PEACE ✌️
Got your drift buddy. I'm an old air force brat who's dad and uncles did a lot. Flight Test got me into a new of many hobbies. Ty josh and all who do this! GOD bless!
That’s a dire one
Thank you for your service.👍🇺🇸
Josh Bixler is the Bob Ross of RC Modeling in regards to his personality and presentation. He, and those involved with Flite Test past and present, have done so much to bring this hobby to the masses, and so many folks who thought "it's too expensive of a hobby for me". I am really starting to consider making the 12 hour trip to Flite Test 2024, mainly to shake his hand and tell him "Thank You" for what he has done and is doing for the RC Hobby and STEM.
This guy is really saving the hobby. He is making great content which is being watched by younger generations and creates over 100 Pilots every year at Flite Fest
You promote learning, fun and family involvement.
I admittedly have fallen out of the hobby a bit, but every time I watch you guys, I always want to go build something...
I absolutely love Flitetest. I hope this channel never goes away. I want to attend Flitefest just to be part of the fun. I’ve attempted planes, drones and heli. Just can’t get hold of that 3rd dimension. I’ll stick with trucks and boats. But these guys make R/C accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you all so much for what you’ve done for the hobby. And please keep doing it.
We have no plans to stop and thank you for watching
As a current builder of an RV-12, I think you'll enjoy the experience of building it!
Long time watcher but never been. Next year I'm taking my dad and we are going! I look forward to meeting you guys in person and share my story with you all.
BIG Thumbs up to @FliteTest
Flight Fest 23 was amazing! We had an awesome time meeting everybody , the FliteTest community is great and I love seeing Josh and team take the time out to talk to each and every kid! Combat is like no other! This was the highlight of our summer, and we can’t wait for next year! FliteFest 24!!!!
Where it’s held?
Man, that is so cool. What a Blessing to so many. Keep up the good work. GOD IS GOOD❤
Thanks for taking the time to give me a tour of the hq. Was one of the highlights of my month long road trip from Washington State
I do enjoy viewing young children learning and building Model Airplanes and lots of hope the will lean toward a college degree that would work in this industry..... Thank to all volunteers
I didn't realize this next one is going to be 10 years. I better not miss it, I just know something crazy is going to happen.
SUGGESTION: Next FliteFest let's have the PA broadcast through AM/FM so we can play it at our tents and NEVER MISS ANOTHER ANNOUNCEMANT ya? Thanks @FliteTest !!!!
Great job you guys are doing with Flite Test and Flite Fest keep it up for many more years to come.
I have yet to miss an Ohio Flite Fest, and every one has been spectacular! Looking forward to the big 10…
As a 76 year old who grew up on airplane modeling, flying and traveling to events, and also as a lapsed full scale pilot, I commend this event as a superb representation of my lifetime aviation hobby being passed forward to a wholesome, valuable generation of youth. Well done Flite Test, and happy building of your R12iS!
Thank you FT for all you do. Here's hoping for another great 10 years! Flight fest looks like a blast!
I think this is incredible and commendable. You All should be truly proud of what you have done in nurturing young minds alone, entertainment aside. A truly wonderful event.
Ok i gotta go for the 10th
Sweet!
It would be nice if you could do this event also in Europe. ✈🛩🛩
I am from Spain, but it could be in France, which is more or less in the center and has a lot of tradition of airplanes and flying.
The Flite Test always inspires me! I am looking forward to seeing Flite Fest 2024.
Yoooo that's me lol

man your plane was awesome. Jakob and I are at 2:30! Honored to be in an FT
vid.
@@paulkurth9066 sweet!
Awesome job Josh! So exciting to see. Thanks for sharing!
That's awesome!!!
This is so cool, I gotta go, sounds like next year is the year.
you guys are amazing...love you guysss......
This year was a fantastic event. Weather was mostly great and not too hot. Peter's plane was crazy, the perfect addition to Flite Fest.
Thanks for hosting and looking forward to the 10th Flite Fest. We'll see you there.
World could be better if people's have hobby like this
I have plans for building a homemade ultralight
What you do is amazing and I support you 110% I Am so happy for the kids, the parents, grandparents and friends alike are the icing... Love you my man... You and the Entirety of Flite test/the Team... It would be impossible without the team,, sponsors and volunteers alike... Love you brother...
Just wonderful! Us Europeans are jealous! Bravo!
Absolut fantastic 💯👌🏻👌🏻 what a Inspiration 👍🏻👍🏻😎
absolutely amazing to see so many participants with their various avatars of RC
The crew at Flite Test are a unique set of players in the RC community. They started out with very humble beginnings taking $1 foam board and making free plans available to download and build your own airplane. Their vids with both Josh were a great slap stick comedy act
15 years later the venue has evolved to a huge enterprise with laser cut kits, flite Fest Event, STEM program, and a modern day manufacturing and E-commerce.
I hope they are able to continue to evolve and grow. I think the platform is great for designers, and cheap kits. But don’t expect these cheap foam board planes to last long. Water, crashes, and combat will have you throwing it in the trash after only a few hours of use.
Good shot of missile launch at 0:19
THANK YOU!
You guys are truly doing something special. It's Oskosh for the rest of us. I can't wait until I'm ready to build one of your kits with my 9 year old son and start discussing all of the STEM issues involved. We've already watched the Bernoulli and Euler videos. We're already sailing, so we have a jump start on wings and lift. We're also working on CNC and laser cutting at home to pursue various project like this.
Cool!
This is to good to be true ❤❤❤
Awesome.
HI, I am new to RC Planes and Drones. We visited the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Oh yesterday. We saw FliteTest's "Why I fly" presentation while visiting the museum. I have been watching a lot of videos from many different youtubers including FiteTest. I found its an expensive hobby especially if you are unsuccessful and it can be very frustrating. I had to take a break, I feel like the Wright brothers at this time. I have not been able to get anything to fly so far. I found a lot videos that are for beginners, lack explaining how important the basics of weight vs CG, differences of High to Low KV, and propeller size for a successful flight. I bought motor, esc, propeller combo for RC plane DIY only to find out that the KV does matter based on what you are trying to fly. I have tried plans, took the time to build, only to have them crash and and fly unsuccessfully. RC cars I have down pretty well, but this I have yet to find satisfying. I don't easily give up but I have been close. I am on a tight budget as well. I appreciate FliteTest's channel, and sharing the knowledge and experiences of the flying community. Hopefully I will have a successful flight soon, wish me luck!
****just found the beginner's series by FliteTest! Thanks!
Nice
I had a great time this year, thanks for putting this on . Can't wait til next year!
When is Flight Fest coming back to central Texas? I volunteered and had a blast even though I didn't fly at all during the event. It was just fun helping new modelers get their feet wet.
“You can’t say flight test without one word. Basically!!!!”
Lots of awesome stuff and Peter stripol, visited from planet fun stuff with another loony cool thing that flies for reasons nobody can understand
This Old Man from Washington NC enjoying the video 👍. Amazing what you have accomplished Josh over the years ❤️. I'm always looking forward to the next video. Love you Guys ✈️🧔💝
I wish I could rip with the confidence of some of you guys. sweet video.
Welcome in northern Thailand too !!!!
FTCA/ FT has always been about FLIGHT. I back you because the DREAM of FLIGHT can be realized by so many who watch and follow your videos and events. Present and Future
We can disagree on some things at times, BUT the RIGHT and FREEDOM of Flight should never be a disagreement between us.
The Very DREAM should never be infringed upon and realizing that Dream shall not either .
I understand the need for some FRIA's.
However that FREEDOM should also never be hobbled by them.
We have to fight for those RIGHTS outside of a Regulators idea , and insure that Freedom is also never infringed upon, so we all can live that Dream wherever and however we are able individually not forced into a group or location to satisfy their idea of that Dream.
Josh you are such i kick ass dude
You did it!!! Unless I missed it somewhere you left off the “B” word!!! Congratulations!
Edit- I didn’t believe you could do it, so I went back and listen again and of course I found one I believe in less than 30 seconds! Basically!!!!!
You guys do cool stuff! :)
Wish I was there.
SUGGESTION: Next FliteFest let's have the PA broadcast through AM/FM so we can play it at our tents and NEVER MISS ANOTHER ANNOUNCEMANT 👍👍 ya? Thanks @FliteTest !!!!
wow, you guys have really grown!
This is the right one
You guys should get a Japanese speaker to cover the Japan Birdman Rally for you, July 29-30.
2:15 Check me out building with my daughter!!!!! LOL belly and all.
Me and my dad built a mini p40 and i taught him to fly it. Then bought him a radio and he is super excited. 3rd FF we have been to and im happy i got him flying. Always sad to leave. Hopefully next year comes fast
Did you ever say where this event takes place or are we only allowed to watch iton RUclips? How de we get the newsletter?
Make a video of building a V-22 Osprey
It's been a while since I commented here. :-)
That is such a beautiful f4 phantom at 0:36 is that a kit or did he build that?
The f4 is a kit they sell in there store. It's definitely a challenging build to do but it flies well. And also thank you for the compliment
Could you guys try and make a V1 flying bomb? That would be EPIC
You guys at flite Test are great. You doing a great job at promoting this GREAT hobby and beyond into full scale.Because of all the negative things with Remote ID and outrageous FAA regulations not to mention 20 years ago events of 9/11.We need a lot of people like you to help keep young people inspired to carry on this great model and full scale hobby alive. You inspire aviation engineering, mechanics and piloting.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND NEVER GIVE UP.
I am a private pilot,R/C model builder and flyer and A&P mechanic.Thank you guys,I really enjoy your videos!!!
Just found your channel
Is flight fest the same time and place each year?
What would be the best site to find out specific information about this event?
Thanks
Im praying that flite fest is around enough for me to finally go. Hopefully I even get to take my kids someday. Lets just pray the FAA stays away.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
🛩💎🙏👍 !!!
My uncle just gave me a hobby zone super cub that's bin siting for years
Do the A-6 or the harrier please
Man I would love to come to flight fest, but sadly due to life I just can’t. I have been working on this prototype aircraft and well let me just say it’s pretty impressive what it can theoretically do. I would love to be able to bring it over to this event one day. Maybe in the future I can.
So serious ask here. What would be the best type of plane to chase the deer out of my corn field? Slow and low? Bomber? Boom and zoom? Diver and screamer like a stuka?
Is there any events in Tucson
Can any transportation idea fly? Carver-1 steer flight ?
I think me and my dad can go next year? I don’t know but the us nats is at a different date so we could possibly make it. Maybe we can do a combat match at the flight line?
Will you ever be doing a build of the Rutan Long EZ actual airplane?
When the remote ID comes in then the mids just wont have the chance to enjoy the hobby like before but the people who rung these laws in have no idea.
Where did this take place?
👍🐿👍
Is there going to be a Flight Fest next year if all planes need a RID module over 250G?
I tried to find flight test app on my Apple phone, but I can’t find it anywhere. What am I doing wrong? Joe
ok so where is this and when next year no info anywhere
We need flite fest in India😄
A World Tour would be nice.
With the result of an international Flite Day. 😁
Yes.....We need flightfest.....I also from India
@@pavanmachhi1927 Are you tamil?
@@lokaero no....I am a maharastrian
@@pavanmachhi1927 cool 👍🏻. Im from Tamil Nadu
It’s carazy
Dear Flite Test, we attend FF and love it, so many thing could be added to a video like this, do those videos do poorly? So many other stories, so much other fun not shown here, and you guys have all the good equipment to film it on. Sad with this recap!
How long was Peter's airplane? Anyone know?
I don’t if y’all really look at the comments….. Shot in the dark… mikeygp was throwing sticks 17 years ago when RUclips first started… we would love to see y’all bring back the OGs and see if they can throw sticks with no Gyros!
😎👍🇨🇵
Hiiii
Way to go Josh!!! 👍👍👍
Where is this held at...😵😵🤔🤔
RID requirements are going to make next years flite fest fun.....
Hope the FAA take a good look at this and take note of what there going to destroy.
I wish they allowed gas and nitro powered planes. I would go but almost all my planes are gas or nitro
I wonder how many will end up getting Part107 licenses?
why would they? they are not doing it commercially. did you mean RID?
@thomasseeley8124 I was thinking of it as a career path. Drone industry is expected to grow to $45 billion by 2025. Pilots will be needed for future jobs.
@@shadowofchaos8932 Ok. i originally missed your point. I understand now what you were getting at.
@thomasseeley8124 np! Just a genuine thought with jobs being created now that didn't exist 15 to 20 years ago. Professional RUclipsr was a joke in HS. Now they make millions!
