Bless you Ajahn Brahm for setting me on the Dhamma path. Because of you I am able to be with effects of trauma and study Dhamma and Pali terms which help separate 'me' and reflect on Anatta and Dukkha and Anicca and I assure anyone reading this the the Buddha is a miracle if you trust the Budda, the awareness 🙏🏽🙏🏼🙏🏻
Your relaxing talks kept me company through so many of these long lonely anxious nights. You are the wise lovely uncle I came to for comfort, and you never dissapoint. You have found the exact place to be in this lifetime. Peace and blessings be yours. Thank You. Neil.
Thank you Ajahn Brahm, important reminder to take a break and find a moment of peace. Really needed this reminder today. Thank you, wishing you well and good health.
While sitting near a small wood on a grey cold morning it started to snow. I watched the flakes gently falling on each flake I imagined the word peace and soon all around was blanketed with peace.
Sadhu! Sadhu!! Sadhu!!!❤️☮️. Thank you and your monks, for giving your time to make these wonderful 1/2 hr guided meditation videos. They are so helpful 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you 🙏 your talks are the easiest to follow . I love your humour also. You’ve helped me through some hard times and changed my perspective on life for the better .
The good thing covid caused is that we can hear Ajahn so often. Please keep doing these short sessions, they bring so much peace during a busy day. Thank you!
Thanks Vanerable!!! What a experience of attachment that you shared with us. Wonderful... very very simple and true .. this is what we heared that truth is always simple .. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you again. Don't know "how you did it" but that was exactly what I needed. Highly appreciated. I myself like very mouch this shorter mediation right now. So also thank you for this!

The Sangha is everywhere! Anyone or anything that teaches you about the impermanence of things, their unsatisfactoriness and their inherent lack of self is part of the Sangha. Guided meditations are everywhere in youtube but if like me, you would prefer the style of Ajahn Brahm and his merry monks and nuns of BSWA and BSVIC then their channel is chockablock full of them. You probably noticed as well the variety of meditation techniques his monks have been sharing daily with us. We are indeed lucky to have them.
Do Buddhists have any way of coming to terms with the death of a close family member who died a month ago and would have been her birthday next week. I cannot get my head around it.x
@@janeyd5280 Most religions have rituals that serve the purpose of cleansing the soul/heart/psyche of grief. Funeral services are an example of that. Other cultures have other fascinating ways. Buddhist cultures as well. Cremation, burning the deceased belongings, chants, prayers, etc..you get what I mean. This rituals are supplemented with stories of hope like 'he/she is in a better place', or 'the person is going to heaven where he/she is with his/her loved ones'...where they will happily live forever and ever. For a lot of people, this would work and that will be the end of that. Hopefully. But what happens when the next death comes along as it surely will? Well, let me tell you what the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha taught me. If Death is that pile of excrement on the ground that people avoid, step over and generally ignore then the Triple Gem is that teacher who grabs your head and slams your face down on that mound of s**t until you learn wisdom from it. The teacher calls this 'Death Contemplation'. Now, guided by the Three Refuges let me tell you what I learned from being 'intimate' with Death particularly when it came to the passing of my own parents. I will share just 2 things. There are a lot more that I learned but seeing that this is already going to be a horrendously long post and I bet that the BSWA is starting to take notice of troll posts and has probably coined a term for me already... 'One Who Posts Too Much On RUclips'…I will keep it brief. :) Compassion. You and I am not the only one who are grieving or will do so. There are roughly 150,000 people who dies in the world every day. And much more of those they leave behind who loves them and mourns them. You and I are not special. This is common to all humans. And the Buddha says, this is not the first time I have cried for a loved one. I have done this again and again repeatedly across time spanning aeons and aeons of incarnations. (Of course, this part you don't have to believe but Buddhists do and I do as well and not because it is dogma. I believe the Buddha because in the years I have studied his teachings, challenge his teachings and put his teachings to practice I have learned that this man is a knowledgeable, compassionate, truthful and trustworthy teacher.) So knowing this, that there are many more like yourself who grieves in this world every day, then come join us and drown yourself in our combined ocean of tears. In our collective sadness. It's okay. It's part of being human. You are in good company. Hope. I bet you want to see that person again? To relive old memories? To put right those past mistakes, eh? To say sorry? To start all over again? Well, you can. It is through the magic of wishes. Just make a wish to see this person again and keep it in your consciousness until you have no doubt about your intentions. This comes from the idea that this Universe fulfills all wishes. But it is also a Universe of Karma. So you will get your wish but your karma will either make you cherish it or regret it. So be careful of what you wish for! 😉 It may also prevent you from seeing your wish fulfilled right in front of you. My suggestion is to be kind, generous and above all to be honest and truthful. I always have had the gut feeling that many wishes that people make of being able to see their loved ones who have passed away from long before are being fulfilled right before their very eyes but that the karma that comes from a habit of lying shrouds this very fact from them. As it frequently happens to me. That kind lady or that man who instantly has a grudge on me even though I have never met him in my life? Who knows? Finally, my suggestion is one of letting go. A heart full of grief is also the best heart to extend loving-kindness from and onto your family member. He/she, like yourself and myself, are on a journey through the endless ocean of samsara. We cannot control each other's destinies or the paths we each choose to walk on. But we can send each other Metta and the blameless wish that we each find our way home. May you and your loved ones find an end to your journey and reach the far shore.
Thanks , I wish I could figure out how to show you a picture of me sitting in front of the TV meditating with you, Thank you for the positive energy. Thank you
