Hi Argenis! I don't quite understand your question as I wouldn't know what options there are in your field or what your interests are out of your field. A great way to get an idea is to go to any universities' course page/course finder to look at the courses they offer and use them to fill up the application.

@@massinabarchan452 I'm not sure, it would only make sense that you have to meet the minimum score in order to be selected. If you're lucky, they may require you to take an English class in the U.S. 🤷🏻♀️ Also, your choice in letter cases are quite unsettling.

Hi Tapiwanashe! Receiving information on student housing would probably be the next step. The timeline differs for each university, so your best bet is to contact the admissions office. They should be in the midst of processing fall documents (assuming you're going for fall semester).

No, having TOEFL prior to your application submission does not correlate with the chances of being selected at it is not compulsory at this point 😅 I suggest you take the test AFTER selection so you don't have to pay for it yourself - it ain't cheap. Your test will be paid for if you're selected.

Hello, congratulations on the scholarship! The stipend is enough to get you through, considering room & board (and university bus), and books are covered separately. So the stipend is for your expenses. If you want to travel more than comfortably, then it's up to you!

Hi Nadiyah! You're welcome! The J1 visa requires the exchange visitor to return to their home country for 2 years. I'm not sure what visa you were on in 2018, but even if it was the J1, the requirement would've been fulfilled by now. I suggest you check on the previous visa you were on.

Hi, I didn't have specific allocation for the program, but I ended up spending approximately USD2.3k. Do keep in mind I allowed myself to spend on trips, shopping, comfort...etc. The stipend given should already be enough if you're not planning to spend much.

Hi Ethel, you're welcome! 1) Yes, I don't see a problem with that. The criteria is to be enrolled in an undergraduate degree, which you are. 2) For me, it was face to face. However, given the current pandemic, it may switch to virtual interview - I'm not sure about this.

Hi Jhorman, based on my experience, you should hear from them in about 2 weeks. Otherwise, you can reach out to them and ask of the progress of it. You can take the TOEFL any time after your selection, but make sure not too late as the host institution may have deadlines for document submissions.

I'm currently a fourth-year student at one of the universities in Indonesia and planning to graduate a year later to gain extra international experience. I have a question because I'm planning to apply for this program. I have done a fully funded exchange program in my third year. Will this experience affect the possibility of me getting accepted into this program? Like reducing or increasing the possibility or not at all? Thank you in advance!

Hi Amr, you're welcome! No, having TOEFL prior to your application submission does not correlate with the chances of being selected at it is not compulsory at this point 😅
I suggest you take the test AFTER selection so you don't have to pay for it yourself - it ain't cheap. Your test will be paid for if you're selected.

Hello, congratulations on the scholarship! The stipend is enough to get you through, considering room & board (and university bus), and books are covered separately. So the stipend is for your expenses. If you want to travel more than comfortably, then it's up to you!

Hi, both are great for anyone! :) 'Non-degree' only means you won't be graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in the U.S., that's it. You'll still be studying, doing assignments, and taking exams.

Hi Nadiyah! You're welcome! The J1 visa requires the exchange visitor to return to their home country for 2 years. I'm not sure what visa you were on in 2018, but even if it was the J1, the requirement would've been fulfilled by now. I suggest you check on the previous visa you were on.

Hi, I didn't have specific allocation for the program, but I ended up spending approximately USD2.3k. Do keep in mind I allowed myself to spend on trips, shopping, comfort...etc. The stipend given should already be enough if you're not planning to spend much.

2. What would be the mode of the interview? Is it face to face like you have to be in the US embassy or you can opt for an online interview?

1) Yes, I don't see a problem with that. The criteria is to be enrolled in an undergraduate degree, which you are.
2) For me, it was face to face. However, given the current pandemic, it may switch to virtual interview - I'm not sure about this.

Hi Ummay, no need to be worried! There's a minimum requirement of 45 for TOEFL iBT, if I'm not wrong. Do check the official website.

Hi Jhorman, based on my experience, you should hear from them in about 2 weeks. Otherwise, you can reach out to them and ask of the progress of it. You can take the TOEFL any time after your selection, but make sure not too late as the host institution may have deadlines for document submissions.
