The shape builder tool selects the entire largecircle behind the two smaller ones, rather than just the section I want to join. Any clues? the edges of all the circles touch.
When i did it on a brand new canvas and made sure everything was perfect, it worked. I think i had a stroke of 1px on my first try which messed everything up.
After years of using inefficient Pathfinder methods, by comparison, for so many years, I was elated when Illustrator introduced Shape Builder. Great video 👍🏻
Very late reply sorry but just watching this video and had the same problem! So when you are building the first pair of circles (Medium size) and moving the second one across, make sure when lining up it says 'intersect' 😊
Hey Joshua! Lasso Tool to select any leftover anchor points and then press delete to remove. You can also use the Direct Selection tool to select them as well 👍
